Strangely, no, Uyoo fits with some basic modification. I have a LKC wedding gown on her right now, gorgeously beaded and embroidered. I got the idea from someone else's post, of Little Kitty in a black and white checked suit dress. (check out this post: http://www.denofangels.com/forums/showthread.php?t=45442&highlight=uyoo+kitty) The main differences as far as I can tell (I have Uyoo, but not Kitty Collier, so I'm working off the dress fit): Uyoo and Kitty's shoulders are similarly wide. Uyoo's arms might be longer? But narrow enough to get through the sleeves. Uyoo's chest is bigger. Go Uyoo! But this wasn't a problem in the dresses I have. Uyoo's waist is way skinnier, so there's no problem getting her into the waist of LKC. I think if you were talking about pants, or height, then you'd have a real problem with fit, but since dresses have a little forgiveness in these aspects, Little Kitty Clothes are another option.
Bumping this thread up with a question- Has anyone tried Fashion Royalty clothes? They're a bit big in the chest from what I've heard, but I think they'd be super cute with some modifications!
I have a Fashion Royality kimono and it is a little too tall but long enough contrary to most of Barbie clothes. Edit : Or is it Silkstone ? Argh, sorry, forget it. *goes to bed*
I've gotten some fashion royalty stuff from ebay and it fits my girl just fine. Better than Barbie in most cases. Same with the Silkstone stuff, it seems to fit better....except for the shoes.
Lots! They take a size 4 wig, and companies like Volks sell wigs specifically for their 1/6 ranges like Dollfie Plus that will fit. Also, individuals like tinybear make wigs that will fit Mini Gem, and sell them on the Marketplace. - Liz
Oh that's lovely to hear. Thanks! How about furniture, would Re-ment items and other companies like that look too small next to them or does all 1/6 furniture look great compared to the minigem sizes?
BJDollarama Bravot Dolls & Friends Facets by Marcia Monique Parabox are making 4" wigs too. Rements work quite nice in size.
Re-ment miniatures make great props, and fashion doll furniture eg. Barbie, works really well, especially the Fashion Fever furniture sets - I bought my Uyoo the guitar one, and darkwood has made several photo stories with her Uyoo and Fashion Fever accessories. - Liz
Is there any photo of re-ment or that sorts of furniture vs the mini gems? >< Thanks for the wig links!
I have a couple re-ment pastries...I can see if I can nip my dad's camera to take a few pictures for you.
Great thread!! Someone mentioned 'Goth' clothes - try Bleeding Edge Goth dolls for mini-gem sized goths The big chunky boots fit too! (just cut a slit down the back).
I'd suggest being careful with these- I think the fit would be hit-or-miss. I have a corset that I bought on a Pullip forum that fits okay on a Pullip, great on a Bambicrony girl, and is *huge* on my Mini Gem. However...if *shoes* fit... I'm so going online-shopping for some BEGoths tonight!
Hate to double-post, but here's how Rement works out with my Mini Gem: http://www.denofangels.com/forums/showthread.php?p=1461833#post1461833 I think I have some Rement drinks at my dorm; I'll be back there in a week.
I had a spare Disney Fairies outfit hanging around and tried it on Oksana. It's a little small, but good for a very feral pixie. Great news, though- the shoes fit!
Just wanted to bump up as I edited my first post to include all the info in one handy list in case anyone is looking for this information in the future. If anyone finds anything else new let me know. Also, I tried on my Pullip Rovams outfit on my Aren awhile back and it fit though it might be a bit baggy. I *think* the shoes fit but I do not remember anymore. I'll try it on again when I get back home and post pics.
Can't wait for my Mini Gem to arrive as I have a load of Misaki clothes to try on her. I am thinking that Erin's, Nadja's and the new Colette's clothing will work as well. I can hope! T
