1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Soom Mini Gem Clothing Options and Size Information

Aug 28, 2006

    1. From pictures I've seen the old barbies are only slightly shorter than the new ones, so your clothes should fit. I may be wrong, though...

Also does anyone know if Kurhn doll clothes will fit? They're like the Chinese version of barbies I believe.

    2. Okay, thanks. ^_^

    3. Kuhrn doll clothes fit my Uyoo, but her hips are a bit big for the pants and skirts. Her butt hangs out in the back.

    4. I wanted to let you all know that B.F.C. ink clothing does not fit. It's too small. The dolls look about the same size as Barbies and our girls, but they are smaller. Don't be fooled!

On the other hand, I got a Barbie dress set and not only is the dress beautiful, but she can also fit and stand in the shoes! I have a crappy cell phone picture, but I'll try to get her to stand in them again and take a picture with my real camera. ^___^

    5. I just wanted to say that this thread is super helpful. <3 Thanks to everyone who contributed to it!

    6. some BFCink stuff is super-stretchy, though. i've gotten some of it (t-shirts, elastic waist skirt) to fit on my dolls that are wider than Uyoo.

but i stopped by to say i have mine in a HSM dress but i had to unsew the seam at the butt and just leave it open in back as an apron top. other than that it fits well:

sorry for the goofy picture; i forgot to take a better one.

oh yeah her sneaks are BFC and her shorts are Goodreau for the 8inch tinies.
PS: i have some LIV clothes that also fit her great.

    7. Her shoes look like the same BFCink ones I got. ^_^ Just the shorts are way too small (I could barely get them off!) and the cute top was *not* made for boobies. I'm sure some things would fit, but not the outfit I got. ^_^

    8. yeah, i just want to encourage people to look for the variations and not disregard the whole line. i find it's better if you share the outfits out over a bunch of dolls, and i have some OT dolls, like Momokos, that will fit the narrower items.
and for example, those purple tights? EXTREMELY SMALL. maybe fitting a Puki - LOL

    9. Hello everybody~

So I bought my friend's Aren off of her a couple months back and noticed that she badly needs to be restrung. While looking at the Soom site, I can't help but be a bit confused.... HALP!

      - According to this chart [at the bottom]: Chartness, it says Mini Gems' need 1mm/2mm strings. Does it mean one of each or either-or?
      - If I order like one quantity of strings, does that include two strings or one?

I hope my questions makes sense. I don't even know how to word my questions! XD

    10. Does anyone know how Momoko pants fit length wise? The "wader" look on my Uyoo is driving me crazy. I've got patterns for both Jenny and Momoko (and blythe, but i don't want to play around with the enlargement of those just yet)

My Uyoo is strung really loose, so i was pulling on her arms and legs today. (semi-accidental, semi-on purpose) and it looks like her body is strung with the thicker elastic, while her arms are the thinner.

    11. My Uyoo is unstrung and in pieces at my apartment. When I get back in January, I can check the elastic.

    12. FYI Liv doll clothes fit my minigem really well- one of the stretch tops was a little tight, but still fastened ok. Let me know if any one wants pics & I can take some- the shoes are cute too- a bit big, but still wearable :)

    13. how are the pants? The "short pants syndrome" is really bothering me.

    14. The jeans from the set I bought reach her ankles, which is fine (I prefer jeans to be a bit longer so when they sit down, the hem doesn't ride up too high :sweat but as these are slim-fit style jeans, they're ok).

    15. Yeah, I prefer longer jeans as well. All of the ones I seem to have, that i thought would be alright because they're longer, are above the ankle, and what we used to call "high water" pants when i was little xDD

    16. Like 'Grandpa pants' eh  ? Luckily the Liv doll ones have a lower waist- I'll try to take some pics later :)

    17. :? Can someone please explain to me why the mods have shut down the Soom Faery Legend "Nenad" Discussion ? Was it the fact that the mini gems can wear barbie clothes and we said the word 'Barbie"?

    18. I think it's the fairy feet and the fact that she appears not to have ankle joints. They always shut down threads while they wait for more details. Several on-topic dolls can wear Barbie clothes.

    19. Ah, thanks for the info. I was thinking that I said something wrong when I mentioned the Barbie clothes.

    20. Does anyone know if selling my scene clothing is allowed in Marketplace? or should I ask Admin? It was great to find out that some of the clothing fits BJD I have tons of My Scene clothing and dolls that i use to collect and I want to start selling them, I know dolls wouldn't be allowed, but I'm hoping clothing is. Sorry if this has already been answered.

Agree with earlier post on page 1 I'm not too keen on barbie clothes unless you like the pink and cutesy stuff that makes her look...well like a Barbie. That is why I started collecting My Scene because I thought the clothing were much more updated and edgy. Now I have moved on to BJD, may get a Soom MiniGem just so I can keep some of the clothes..lol..

So you say the My Scene shoes don't fit? Seems that the doll has 2.5cm foot, but I can't find a way to measure inside the shoe, the My Scene shoes are way different than the tiny barbie shoes though so I was just curious if anyone has tried[IMG].

Do you know if the My Scene Boy Clothing fits any BJD's?
