Soom Monthly Doll Jan 2010: Chalco - Forest King

I love the overall look of him, for some reason I adore the cloak of the outfit! But I doubt I can just get the cloak so making it will have to do.

As for the face, he reminds me of Euclase/Chrom I don't know why, I do like it. I definately prefer the tan skin to the normal. Whether thats a good thing or not, I don't think I can afford it, but I definately do like! Definately one of my favourite from the cycle of the Gods/Goddesses.

 

I think he's gorgeous, not really diggin the hooves on him though.
I think I'm safe from SOOM....for now. XD

Galena has great taste. lol Goodness I must find a way to get him as I don't want to be kicking myself later for passing like I did with Chrom.

 

Pictures are refusing to load fully, but from what I see so far I'm totally in love!

Oh now they've loaded. I ADORE HIM. And I don't like male dolls.
But right now I REALLY DO ADORE HIM. Wow.

 

He is amazing looking! At one point, btw, his wig looks grey which may actually be better on the Normal Skin doll than black. Get a load of that skull! I love it! He looks like a Capricorn. I am off to e-mail Rinse who will now surely perish!!!

 

I need to stop really being into him right now, it's insane!

I'm not sure which I prefer though cause while the tan one is FABULOUS, the default blushing I feel looks better on the NS one. Plus the seams on the tan one are SO HIDEOUS, it's all I seem to notice. A doll THAT BIG without sanding sounds terrifying to me.
Another plus with NS is that I'm thinking of getting a Chrom head (just because I'm obsessed with the person that head was modelled on), and so a NS body would be handy if I wanted to actualy make Chrom more than just a floating head!
But the tan one is just SO much more fabulous!

Are those exactly the same eyes as Amber btw? They look it, and if so, I already have them so don't need to try and find them at least!

He's outfit has nothing to do with forest in my eyes. Still kinda cool outfit though...
His face is too young for my taste *relieved*.
Dont like the hooves in thighs area but love their pointy ends.
But if Soom goes on with fantasy theme T_T *dont want to hold my money back every month for them*

Saying that, I'M DYING. Dying so badly.
I have to say no to him.. I really do.. but HE WOULD MAKE SUCH A GOOD OBERON or something! My Titania is bi so she wouldn't mind if I made her parter a girl (what I was going to do with Galena before I couldn't afford her) or now a boy with Chalco.

But ohhhhhhh Soom. Why Soom. You're supposed to make these boy doll months easier on me NOT DIFFICULT!!!!

 

I'm good. He's very handsome and the tan is gorgeous, but he's not really grabbing me. So far the only monthly that graqbbed me and didn't let go was vesuvia, and I missed out on her *sigh* But this boy is, thankfully, not the one, hehe. It looksl ike they may have fixed some of Amber's sitting problem with the legs, but I'm still not a big fan of them. They're gorgeously thick and muscular, but I prefer their normally jointed hoof legs. Plus his face isj ust a bit too boyish for me.

I rather like his outfit though. Might have to make one like it.

 

The more I look at him, the more I want him ><;;; I don't do boy dolls though and I really am trying to save my money for another Soom hooved girl later this year ... You know there will be more hooves!! But dang, he is perfection

I had been contemplating the outfit for the Sphaler bits I'm getting (eventually) but got to the kilt and. . . nope. He won't go there. The overall dark theme had such promise too. . .

I was praying that Chalco would be worth getting, as he is my final Soom doll for a long time, and he totally is.

That skull mask is to die for. Officially my absolutely favourite Soom accessory ever. I also love that his hooves and horns are special resin like Amber's were. The brown/red resin is so much nicer (and easier to combine with other things) than Amber's transparent pearly resin.

I think I'll be getting him in NS (so I can hybridise him with my Chrom parts).

He comes close to a character of mine, but not quite close enough. He's got a really nice shade of tan, if the pics are accurate. His face is lovely, but just a hint too boyish for my purposes.
Which is all to the good, because I can't justify bringing him home, but I hope lots of other people do so I can drool over owner pics *heh*.

I'm not sure what to make of his face actually. I really need a huge front closeup of his face. I'm really hoping I'll lean towards a meh feeling, just so I don't have to figure out how I can afford him. My favorite part of him is the mask and horns. I'll look at him throughout the course of the day, and see what happens. He looks nice in both colors. I could be in real danger if Soom decides to add tan regularly to their arsenal, lol!
