Soom Monthly Doll Jan 2010: Chalco - Forest King

I love all of it. Course, I'm a fan of the tan.
Not a fan of the price. Especially since the tan is extra. Phooey.

 

I don't wanna think about it for too long.. I love his face, and the tan.. but no money again.. and he's not what i'm looking for my next guy.. luckily..

 

I have *no* more doll budget to spare but I have to say, he is my favorite large Male MD that soom has made yet. I can't wait to see them in member photos. Swoon!

 

Aww but they're so gorgeous together!! Well, I definitely
wish (even more so now) that I had been able to get Galena
in GS (or Galena @ all!) perhaps I can snag a head...eventually.

Getting Chalco=No more dolls in my foreseeable future.

On another note I heard of someone who removes seam
lines on tan resin with virtually no color/resin change.
I may have to seek her out and ask about it.

Luckily I'm back to my old self when it comes to Soom dolls again, it seems. He's really pretty and I like the skullmask thing, but I feel no need to get him. It is the same for me with most of Soom's MDs, they look nice 'n all but what would I do with them? Though I did get Soomed on Afi
My wallet thanks me My savings need more time to recover anyways :P

 

I'm just imagining Chalco galloping off into the forest after getting cold feet hooves feet at the wedding...

He's very pretty! I'm glad his nose isn't as thin as some of the other Soom dolls. And I like his costume and his wig with braids. And I'm glad there was a good reason for the strangely large eyes on the skull, so that it can double as a mask.

 

I've never like Soom MD either, but this one does for me. And I've been begging them for a Tan SuperGem. Plus, Chalco has a pretty profile.

Now, I'm holding out for a Tan Male Dia/Sard...my life would then be complete. ;p

Good point! I didn't even think about his ears. Has anybody asked them for extra pictures of his ears, or a least a description?

 

He's just not doing it for me. No surprise, considering I don't like tan skin, haha. The mobility of the legs worries me as well. The outfit, eyes, and mask, however.... are thoroughly awesome.

But the price... oh, the price. Hoping for more Mech Angel-sized MD's, preferably female (I want an all-girl doll harem :P).

 

I was worried about that too. Don't fret. They're not as mobile as the "standard" 3-joint legs, but they're still good. They just take a little longer to get used to.

 

Hahahaha!! I have the best idea ever. :3 It's going to involve Chrom thighs with Chalco hooves on Sphaler... and Sphaler feet on Chalco... Mmm as much as I love the tan.... he just won't work with the hooves for me. :C

 

OMG I think this guy has to be my ultimate favorite of the group.

The legs are beautiful too, but if they are anything like Amber's it's gonna suck. I couldn't stand her hooves in the end and had to sell them. ;_;

So torn. NS would be easier to hybridise and I want that head as a beautiful sister for Galena...but tan is so darkly beautiful. I think I'm just going to sigh over him for the next week and then decide.

 

I loved him in profile, but when they posted his other pictures and the straight on shots it doesn't do it for me. I'm still thinking about picking up the wig if I can.
