Soom Monthly Doll Jan 2010: Chalco - Forest King

I made a comparison picture of how I think his shoulder armor looks, haha if that is what it really is :P

 

Don't have a Soom monthly, missed out on Dec Ai as I deliberated too long, Glot and Glati were my absolute Favs.

Do want a SD male with hooves, so holding out on the adult (male) version of Ai (therefore with hopefully horns too). Don't want a tanned, so really really hoping for a hooved male with white skin option His face does look rather boyish, must admit ... can't wait for additional photos :fangirl

 

Not going to comb the speculation thread in case it was mentioned there but according to Wikipedia:

So that explains the coppery (tanned) skin but not the animal. The sideways looking eye sockets could be something like a stag/moose or it could be a bird like a crow/raven or eagle.

There is no telling with Soom. . . any more than one could explain their shipping schedule. . .

And going to look at the still life I painted that has a moose skull in it, I want to say the eye sockets in the skull/mask seem to be a little too big for something that normally goes on four hooves.

 

If he's hot like I think he is... I might not want to keep my Sphaler... before he even comes home... D:

 

If it is taken from the western idiom, Forest King would refer to a stag - can't wait to see what is revealed just hope he isn't only tan >_>

 

I can't wait for rest of the pictures! It's gonna be a long weekend, if the pictures are released on (Korean) Monday.
I've always thought, that I don't like tanned dolls that much but... He just looks way too appealing. If they also have NS option, I'm gonna be Soomed for sure
And even if he was only tan, I'm not sure whether I'll be able to resist... We'll see.

Anyone else see the scar on his eye? I'm hoping that when they reveal the whole pictures that he's bi-eyed. One white blind one and another of a different colour. That would be nifty. ^^ Anyway, I'm counting on a hoofie. *crosses fingers* If so, I might be Soomed if he has a handsome enough face. I was hoping for branching antlers. Still hoping!

A crow would be an interesting concept, but I'm not really one for bird parts. ^^*

 

I'd bet he WILL be offered in WS and TAN if only because the last 2 the bird lady (grey/white) and then Ai/Afi(here-bodies and Ai-White and afi-tan) offered this way.

I'll be VERY VERY surpized if he's not hoofed honestly as i said before just looking at soom's patterns. the small is simalar to the big, that they(small) fall under the rule of by the storyline.

well, since the tinies last time were deer babies, and the last large doll was female, I was figuring a male and a stag/elk type. So my guesses look solid thus far. ooo! =)=)

I am so glad someone mentioned the eye thing, I'd almost talked myself into it being his hair, or something... I'm really excited about the idea that he's got two colored eyes now, of course. Gah, this is not good for the old budget, which I've already completely blown of course. Bad, bad me.

But wait, I'm still waiting on the full pictures! I haven't made up my mind yet, noooo! I'm still safe right now! Yes!

Now if he did have bird feet and they offered a WS version. . . he would make an excellent Hollow Ichigo. He would just need the long tail. . .

 

I'm hoping for another NS option with Chalco, that way I can also have the possibility of getting a new body for my Chrom since I doubt he and my Sphaler would be able to share one for too long. The majourity of SOOM MDs are released in CW, so it's always refreshing to see NS or other skin tone options. Then again, it's probably better for my poor wallet if they don't offer a NS option.

 

ya my friend said it looked like a scar too. I'm wondering if its just eye makeup. Thats how it kinda looks to me, i could be wrong tho. I guess we'll know for sure once they put him up on Monday ^^

(i'd actually prefer him not to have a scar but i like the two eye idea ^^)

 

It looks like eye make-up to me. I've seen dolls with eye make like that before. But shadows could just be hiding what it is.
