There you go ... it kinda sucks. Like someone said before, with a little work you could make the feet fit, but knowing my luck I'd completely mess up

Anyway, I can't wait to see what people do with their Casses. I ordered a fullset so she's going to be very default looking

 

Mine will come without faceup or default sets like wig or eyes, but I already have in mind what I want to do with her. Her name's gonna be Calipso, like the cecaelia xD

I've caved too. That face just got to me. I got the faceup, the ocean parts and both dresses. Still deciding on who she'll be.

 

well I've asked my mum and she says if she has enough money left over pay day she will pay the first layway payment for me *squeee* So fingers crossed I can order her next week!

Thats really sucky about the feet! I had planned to put the human feet on the scaly legs! oh well ...

I plan to get her with face up, the ocean outfit, the fishy parts (but I probs wont use the feet) her wig and thats it as I don't like the shoes and I dont like her human dress either and I have a different set of eyes picked out for her I'm not 100% happy with the wig but I haven't found the perfect 1 yet so I figure it will do until I find it...I dont want her bald

oh my gosh! I so hope I can order her. shes so perfect and shes named! I'll be crushed if something goes wrong

 

I've officially caved and set up a split with someone - I'm taking the head and fishy parts. Unlike my Chrom parts, Cass will at least have a 'loan body' in my Cuprit, until I get her a body of her own.

The story page for Cass is fairly interesting. Translated from Engrish:

"Cass is a water elemental 'second spirit' [attëa = second, ëala = spirit] and she is the ruler of her realm, called the beautiful dell [vanya = beautiful, nal = dell]. She loves to spend time at the bottom of the ocean, so mainly lives in the second land [Tweedleheim, where this year's Gods live] and the beautiful dell [her realm]. When in her realm, she is a mermaid; when she travels to land of the Gods, she looks just like a human. When in the water, her scales and fins are fantastic colours, but when she leaves the water they become thin and clear, so it seems like she has none.

She has a large net, which she uses to collect the bodies of those who drown at sea. She takes these people to her realm, and turns them into Ocean elves. Cass's realm is the only continent that is under the ocean, and so it has unique views of the coral forms that grow around Hlesey palace [Hlesey seems to be an island in the North Sea]. The palace is called the most beautiful temple, and all six Gods attend parties there".

The most interesting thng to me is that this means Cass, like Cuprit, is a psychopomp - she takes dead people and takes them to her realm, which is a kind of 'afterlife' for us.

Also weird that an island from Earth is showing up in Cass's realm. I guess they wanted to tie her back to the Norse mythology they've got going on with their Element Gods line

Aww, that sucks. But if you can save up in the meantime, I'm sure some Casses will find their way to the MP in the end - there's always a bit of shuffling that happens with the Soom MDs. There are still Vesuvias and Euclases and Onyxs shuffling around in there right now, so even if it takes you six months after Cass ships to get enough for her, you still might be able to find one.

I hope you manage to get her one way or the other, though. Being Soomed is painful enough when you actually are getting the dolls. I can't imagine how much it must suck to think that you might really miss one you want so badly

 

as far as which dress I like better: i like the human one as its more "fancy".

 

Thanks, Patrice! The face did it for me, too. It has a timeless quality to it. She is beautiful as a fantasy creature and as a human (just like a mermaid! SOOM is very, very clever.) I am excited to see how you work her into your stories. It will be interesting to see the effect she has on your EID man. He'll have his hands full tracking a faun and a mermaid!

 

I suspect that he'll be way to busy dealing with that faun to pay attention to the mermaid. I'll have to be looking for someone to keep the mermaid occupied. At least with the monthlies, you have lots of time to find things for them!

The EID's do look nice with the Soom girls especially one like Cass who'll be taller than a normal SG with the mermaid parts.

 

Intriguing. . . I was expecting there would be some chemistry between faun and hunk, looking forward to future developments.
(Oops, I think I just took this off topic, but I'm ever diverted by a good romance. To bring it back on topic, I hope our little mermaid finds her prince, too.)

 

Hi Kitty! I ordered her without a faceup. You know me, can't keep my little fingers off those faces. Plus, it's cheaper and, hopefully, maybe she'll get here sooner. Though I don't expect her for months. But that's ok, she can be my birthday or Christmas present.

Basically, I can't afford a doll right now but just couldn't pass this special girl by.

thanks Bexii for keeping us posted!! It is a definite shame I think I might still try to make it work.. hmm. hehe gotta sleep on it I think.

 

I've been waiting for just the right doll to be "Bella Swan/Cullen" and this doll has everything I was looking for. She's just beautiful.

 

I cant believe I have been Soomed again, I bought Chrom and now Im getting the head of Cass in a split. I just think she is so beautiful, really different from previous Soom ladies. I have a Soom Dia who I love but they always seemed to have quite androgenous girls faces, now they have really come through making a very feminine looking girls face (at least to me, I know some people have said she looks like a tranny oddly). She really does remind me of Amber, who I loved but I didnt like her ears, and I think she will be a great companion for my Lazule as they have similar facial features and face up.
I think its great they did the human/ocean elf option, and for once Im bowled over by the clothing.
Again, worrying about being Soomed again...twice is enough!

 

When I first saw Cass I thought her face was very similar to Amber's but there was something about Cass that drew me in. I think it's because she looks more mature than the others, whereas Amber seemed rather innocently naive with this deer caught in headlights (pardon the pun ) expression. I think that might have just been the overly photoshopped pics though

As for the feet situation, I think I'll have to see the difference between the scaled legs and human feet before I try anything. I know I said I wouldn't try anything, but I really really need my Cass to have normal feet and scaly legs.

I agree, she is special.

 

Unfortunately, for me, Cass' mermaid-y feet were a deal breaker. I really didn't like them on the Eliv and Iv, and was unhappy to see them turn up on Cass as well.

I was also not as pleased with her sculpt once I saw more of the pictures put up. Soom definitely put up the absolutely best shots they had of her as the teaser pics.

I thought I was Soomed, but I was mistaken.

I'm happy for everyone who loves her and is ordering her. I wanted to love her, too...

 

Arrgh I want her so much, but with an Amber still on layby, I can't afford it. Pah! I still have just over two weeks to scrap together enough for a deposit.Q? Is the 25% deposit just for if you have a 5-6 month layaway? 'cause if it is, 3 month layaway with a $50 deposit here I come!

 

I caved. Since It takes me like 2.5 weeks to make up for her cost it should be okay XD I might still get a new car in the near future. I love her so much, I can hardly wait to recieve her
