Soom Monthly Doll (March) the Second Land: Cuprit - Black Frost

I was wondering...are we suppose to get a confirmation email besides the one just after placing the order? I ordered her on the 12th, used the lay away option and sent a Paypal payment right after. That's all i need to do right? *is worried*
I have never bought anything from Soom so i wasnt sure.
Also i did a search but couldnt find the answer to how long the wait is for these monthly dolls...i know its a pretty long wait though...

I don't know about confirmation emails, but your order status should change - mine has changed to 'Order Received'. When you finish paying all the layaway payments, it changes again (to, I assume, 'payment received' or something similar). Then there's a 'before shipping' and a 'shipped' stage too, I think.

But once your order status has changed to 'Order Received', you can relax and assume your layaway worked out alright (or at least, this is what I was told... I'm also a first-time Soom layawayer =P) It took a few days for my status to change, so don't worry too much if it hasn't changed yet.

And everything I've read suggests that Cuprit will be shipped around August/September, I think. Hopefully she'll go out earlier than the more popular MDs, since there seem to be fewer people ordering her.

 

Mia K- The only email I got was from paypal and shows my 1st layaway payment I have done with Soom, I also had to read how to do a layaway and what to include along with my payment. So far I have 3 more payments to do and she will be mine. Yeah we have a long long wait ahead.

If you are truely worried about recieving confirmation, you can always just post a question on their Q&A board saying something along the lines of 'please advise me when you have recieved my payment.' I almost always get a response from soom within 24 hours, and it gives me peace of mind... expecially when I am dealing with such large amounts of money.

Ahh.. I'm just in love with the heads! But Super Gem is just too big for me - do you think Super Gem Head will fit Gem bodies? or will it look a little bobble-headed?

 

Jumping back to the order status...

Mine has been listed as "Before Shipping" for.. at least a week now. Should've kept track.

I haven't ordered from Soom before, but I've ordered enough from other companies to know "Before Shipping" can be posted for a while. Can anyone who has ordered dolls from Soom before tell me an approximate amount of time between "Before Shipping" and "Shipped"?

We're not even close to August yet, so I'm not expecting to see Cuprit anytime soon. However, I also wasn't expecting the Before Shipping tag this early.

 

Cuprit will be my first doll from Soom, but my order has said "before shipping" since April 12th. I paid in full, and I believe that Soom puts "before shipping" as soon as your doll is paid off.

 

Thanks wally. My Cuprit has long been paid but the "before shipping" is fairly new. I'm taking this as a clue into shipping batches, lol.

I ordered her the very first day, but paid her off on layway. I know mine will not be among the first batch going out... ha ha, so this clue tells me very little really.

I just like playing with the breadcrumb trail.

 

I paid off my Cuprit last month, so now I am in for a long wait. She may not come until September for me, that will be okay I don't want to lose interest in her.
