Soom Monthly Doll May: Bazael - Rauco of Pain

Omg! That face! He sooo pretty, without face-up XD
I looove his ears, his nose, his eyes, his mouth : D
Oh man! XD Sadly I have NO need for him But I will look forward to see what others do with him ^___^

Oh btw, I think his feet is really nice... Toughed about them, and I think they look really natural, if a human where to "mutate" into something like him, wouldn't the feet be like that too? Our toes remaining where they are, and the heel extending into a "claw" thing?
I can see much potential : D
Maybe he will be for me, in the future.... ?

 

His face really reminds me of Lazule! That flat nose, the upper lip, his eyes if they were more cat like. Im impressed by him. The price tag is wowzah!

 

Love-love his ears! His nose is pointier than I thought, though not like Euclase's beak. I also thought his face-up gave the appearance of fuller lips, but apparently he has them anyway. XD

i like his face better without faceup there were something about his mouth i didn't like before on sooms pics. now i really think he will look wonderful with the right faceup. i will look forward to owner pictures.
i won't bring him home, since i realized with my sphaler that a supergem is too big for me.

but if they make something like him in msd there is a big danger for i will be soomed

Can't guarantee you'll find the same as I, but if I screw up a part of the faceup [I'm partial to messing up lips and, somehow, nosetips ¬¬] I can scrub away the MSC with just a magic eraser, no W&N or acetone or what have you. The ring doesn't seem to appear when it's just a magic eraser and water. But it does leave a problem of the part rubbed away being a very slightly different colour to the rest, even when resealed, since it has less or no MSC layers.

'Course, Soom airbrush, so they may not use enough layers for it to show. And there's the whole potential problem Surreality mentioned with building up additional MSC coats on the rest of the face. :/

 

Just want to say a thanks to Ereskigal too for the blank pictures (not sure Soom don't provide these anyway upfront) his head is lovely still not buying though lol

Jung Hye Eun may be the most prolific but have noticed that I consistantly like his sculpts wonder if he is on his hols this month ???

 

I love seeing him blank, definitelly the face up on the site dont make him justice at all...

Offtopic: And about sculptors, I always wondering who made Sabik... maybe Marimo, who did Io and Lazule? I guess I will never know XD

 

Also OT: Soom used to have a whole biography of the man who made the mechas, can't find it anywhere on the new site...sad really, it was quite interesting. I think he did the early Gem dolls, to?

I'm curious which sculptor did Olivine, Lupin, and Corvi, personally. They have the most remarkable -- and underrated, in my opinion -- faces. Lupin just looks uncannily real. There is so much detail and subtlety in his sculpt that it never fails to amaze me. My Corvi has been around for ages now, and I cannot bring myself to try to do a faceup for him, or send him out -- he's just that gorgeous completely blank. It blows my mind, really.

 

I jus stumbled across this guy!! freaking awesome!! man how i wish the doll fund wasn't low low low right now!! That face it's alls about that face! And the claw hands and wings and.... XD;;

I think I'm ok with the feet now - as Marha said, they do make sense...not pretty, but then a demon type of guy I'm sure wouldn't have pretty feets!

Well, I've tried to visualise this guy with hooves... which didn't work too well. Euclase style claws would seem like too much going on... so distorted feet I think will work out quite nice in the end...

 

lol, those feet have really grown on me now, thanks for the pictures pendrithgirl though still giving Bazael a miss, I think the future box opening are going to be very interesting

note sure why Soom dont put up blank pictures of the head scuplts and close ups of the fantasy parts, as I am sure it would increase sales as people are more comfortable with making a purchase
