You're not the only one with a 'wha?' layaway problem. Sard was distracting me so much I bought him blank in the end . S'funny, I said I didn't like WS but I remembered my dad saying he's only allowing me 3: NS, WS and tan so here's my excuse for a WS! I'll most likely turn him into an elf but I can't do much for him for a long, long, long while until I recover from this . He'll be my birthday present for sure, we're both May. Yeah, excellent excuse .

 

Even tho I dont have a Super Gem, I do have a Mecha Angel and my MA boy has the same exact hands as Super Gem's boys, so it seems that Soom recycled MA's hand and placed it on Super Gem.

Again, this is just speculations.... But the jointed hands should be able to work cuz MA's hands are pretty small.

Personally, I think MA need bigger hands. My MA boy is on older version of the body tho, so I dont know if Soom changed their hands for the new body, but I doubt it.

Yeah, I'm not feeling too good about myself right now. I mean I know that eventually once I get myself out of my small debt situation I will be really glad that I bought him. But right now I just feel kinda crappy.

i understand until i put my next paycheck i'm limited in fund, and already my next month is book with commission . if that leo is the perfect...cat...i'm soooo doom!

p.s. for layaway how i did it was i put in the order,but then tell them in the comment that i woud like to do a layaway. of how much for each month and then they sent me the invoice...that how i did it with dollmore, not sure if soom would work the same.

Does he wear SD-sized clothes and wigs?

Soom likes LONG necks... if one wanted to mod him a bit, would they just sand down the top of the neck? Would that mess with the strength of the resin?

I wonder if 16mm eyes would fit, or would the eye-wells just be too small for that?

Super Gem has wider shoulders and long limbs- so most SD clothes will run a tad short, and some tops might be too narrow. They fit nicely into Iplehouse default jeans though! If buying SD shirts, I would choose those with stretch and with folded cuffs- so that they are more "adjustable". I havce also heard that Super Gems can wear Hound or Model clothes.

About the eyes, I think 16mm eyes will look big for a Super Gem, the iris will probably fill out the eye too much- for my taste at least. But one could of course try

 

I can't add him to cart anymore. I guess this means first round is over? Next round should be next week when they're back for work I think.

Well if you buy the outfit, the wings on him are also included within that price. So it's not TOO bad of a deal...........

 

Well the Beryl had the wings and the outfit for $160ish, so it does seem to be an odd jump in price.

 

Well hers is barely an outfit really.........his has a cape and all........and armour? and that extra thing on his finger!

 

I think his outfit is expensive, as well as the Beryl outfit- but I agree with Izam. I don't like their wings, so to me the Beryl outfit is just a piece of pretty, but very expensive lingerie. I ordered her without, as I think a demon in lace lingerie looks a bit "off" I think Sard has a simply gorgeous, detailed outfit- the "claw" is yet another cool detail, and also his outfit consists of three versatile parts, so they can be "mixed and matched". And... hey, I simply ADORE men in kilts!

Hehehe, I was so excited about Sard, I ran upstairs to my in-laws computer and ordered him in a hurry while I was getting into my bunad this morning, and then had to run and catch up on the 17th of may parade- got a national day over here

Oh, I did order Sard with the "bells and whistles", even though I think it's expensive. I loved his outfit so much, so I decided to buy my first "full package" doll. Only thing I did not order, was the eyes- I like the nimph style better. Oh, can't wait to see him! I am so delighted with Vega and Spinel, I can't wait to get more Soom dolls

 

If they EVER come out with a mini Incubus/Satyr...he will be my DOOM. I'll sell my eggs just to get him.

Hmm now I'm contemplating snapping one of these guys up in hopes someone will want to trade their girl for him.
I don't like Soom's pics of their dolls, they seem heavily "enhanced", I think that's why I missed Beryl. I guess I shouldn't make that mistake twice.

You're not alone. This is the most expensive doll I've bought so far, and I didn't even plan for him, so I do feel a twinge of guilt. My boss is twisting my arm about putting in more work hours over the summer, so this'll give me motivation to do so.

Yeah... I need to try to lay off for awhile on the doll excitement. I need to pay off my DOI and Sard first.

That way once I've paid off these two, and since I now understand how Soom's layaway works , maybe then I could get another doll if one happens to strike my fancy.

 

Very nice....a little darker than the Beryl version...the two together would be beautiful but a little scary too...
