oh, i hope they do!! i'm trying to sell off as many things as i can so that i can accumulate enough in my paypal to pay him off, because i'd rather pay out of my paypal balance. ^^;;

for those who have bought him on layaway, how much is the initial payment?

 

If you are buying a doll less than $1000 - they will allow you to pay it of in 5 equal amounts - the first payment down & then 4 monthly payments after that. If the purchase is over $1000 - they will let you divide it into 7 payments, the first payment down & then 6 equal monthly payments after that. So, either 1/5 or 1/7 of the price would be your down payment depending on the total price of the doll. Of course, they will always allow you to pay it off early. Hopw that helps answer your question!

Same thing happen to me, Vega was also in my shopping cart, and I email her about that,and my reply was.

Sorry you miss your chance Seriously i love their dolls,but their customer service can use a upgrade. I don't bother asking anything anymore, since it always take forever.

 

They just have to move some more over into the english website. If you look on the Korean side you can he isn't sold out there. Seeing as Beryl was still available up until May 15th, with spots of "sold out", I doubt they will sell out in the first couple of days no matter how popular he is. Thats pretty standards for them from what I've observed in the past year.

 

yeah, it's pretty wtf -__-. Kelly doesn't answer from the earlier messages, but from the latest. and it's my first time attempting to buy from Soom too, so i just hope CSR doesn't make me this traumatized about it =___=. anyway, i left them a note about it at their customer service at the Sard page (note by 'shinya' --- i don't know if they'll keep it though lol)

i really hope it restocks before i go to work >__<. because i'd be putting it on layaway too...

 

I'm pretty sure someone said Beryl is about 69-70 cm tall, which should be about what Sard is. I think that's Dia with him in the picture too, and he is substantially taller than her (looks to be about 5 cm). I hope he's bigger than 65cm, I love big dolls!

Yeah, they're customer service rep. doesn't seem very helpful. I e-mailed her about my mistake with layaway (I accidentally paid the whole thing at once instead of doing layaway) and she basically said the payment couldn't be cancelled now since the order had been placed. *blinks* Well why the hell not? I placed the order 5 minutes before I sent the e-mail, and they responded to it the next morning. Why would it have been so impossible to just cancel the payment type and switch to Paypal instead? They're lucky the money was there, or they would have been out of luck.

I'm used to Dream of Doll, they bend over backwards and are ridiculously nice.

 

I would assume they would want at least 1/7 down payment if you tip the price over $1000. They may be willing to work out something different if you ask on the Q&A board. Just remember, once you put down a payment....it is non-refundable!
I have always recieved timely answers on the Q & A board...usually within 24 hours as long as it's on a weekday. I have never experienced anything but excellent customer service with Soom. I have purchased several dolls on lay-away from them without any problems what so ever.

 

yep, that make me dislike them...a lot, Dollmore is also like DOD, they will will any mistake you make within second and are happy about it to. I love them! Plus they respond fast and work with you, Kelly doesn't really seem to care one bit. -.- i mean vega was sold out because she took so dang long to answer, and it was only second after he was sold out, was it so hard to add my order to the rest? grrrrr anywho, my bitterness about it is over. almost.

 

It could also just be us being "lost in translation" too. Sometimes people come off as rude when they aren't trying to be at all just because of a language barrier.

Wasn't Vega on sale after the monthly order dates he was assigned to? I could have sworn I saw him on sale for a couple weeks while Beryl was on sale as well.

 

hmmmmmm he was, when i saw him, there was a few days left, so i figure i'll ask her some questions. lesson learn, order first ask later . she took a 'long' time, and by the time she reply, he was sold out, like within the next few mins after that, so i ask her about ordering him *since he was in my cart and all* and reply was...sorry you miss your chance.


oh well i got over the heartache, and is now on a hunt, litterly stalking the market place.

 

Ack. That is really, really unfortunate. I'm sure he will be on the Marketplace at some point though, so make sure to keep looking. There's got to be someone out there who will get him and not bond with him!

 

i sure do hope so! he's like haunting me everynight, well it rare that soom got a face shape i love, and it also very rare that it a limit edition that i want it all, vega was the first, i saw him and it was like me want.

Of course sard does draw me in also, love those eyes, and face shape i love, and the hair....but he doesn't call to me like the mr.merman.

 

Well, even if you can't get the Merman version, wouldn't it be possible to just get Vega and mod him (or get someone else to mod him) into what you want? We have a whole lot of talented people around this place, and I'm sure it could be done if you really wanted him. I mean you wouldn't be getting the OFFICIAL Soom Vega Last Song, but it depends on what matters more to you: the status of the doll, or the way it looks. Just something to think about!

To everyone else: My order status for Sard says "before shipping". For anyone who has ordered from Soom before, what does that mean? I hardly think they could be shipping him already.

 

i was thinking of getting the female vega head and the soom boy body...i just want a merman....i love them...but i think if vega does appear i'll do that, because my list is long!

 

Before Shipping usually means they're processing your order.

 

I didn't have problem with Kelly, although I was quite annoying last 3 weeks about my payment. Usually she answers the questions about 10-11 am or about 4 pm (korean time).
