You will, when the page comes up, have to click forward, yes, with the whole amount there. It's frightening, but it won't charge you. By clicking forward, it places your order, then you hop over to Paypal and give them the first part. ^--^

where the hell is their Paypal info page anyway @__@;;?? it doesn't really say at the Layaway directions page.. I wouldn't want sending my money to the wrong Paypal address, doh

(I'm just so scared to wait for Kelly's answer again, it would most likely take forever or not again @__@;;;...)

What that means is that they got your order, that's all. It's basically saying, "Hey, alright, you want to buy him. Sweet. Start paying up."

What I did for my layaway was, I put in my payment information (like 3 payments, 1st is $400, second is.. blah blah blah) in the "comment" area for my order.

Then directly from paypal site, I used the send money option and just send my 1st payment to their paypal address. But I typed in my order number.
Then I replied back to the e-mail with my order confirmation and refer back to my unique payment transaction number.

That was yesterday and my order status has been changed to "order received" today. So I think that is an ok way to arrange the layaway payments.

 

Ahhhhh! So much confusion! As much as my boyfriend yelled at me for my lack of patience, I'm kind of glad I ordered Sard immediately. I don't know what I would do if I was sweating waiting for him to restock!

 

*pats* you'll be like me, day dreaming . but anywho, he is alluring, veryh, i'm so tempted, but lucky for me, the amount of money left in my bank, doens't allow any more spending

As of now, 10:55PM, USA Pacific time, there are 17 Sards left. When I ordered at 9PM, there was 22. He's selling out fast! O_O

for some strange reason, when i had logged in, i found a sard sitting in my cart. .___. i had though soom emptied carts out when the window was closed but...apparently not? 8D

btw, i'm confused as to which paypal address to send my first payment to. D: is it the .com or the .net?

I went to buy Sard and I thought I paid but nothing comes up in my paypal. What did I do wrong ? also I think this may have happened for Vega! OMG please tell me I paid for them. How does this prcess work? The paypal icon disappeared! Is this why I didn't receive any email. It's been a month!

 

In shock. I didn't think they would restock and certainly not so fast (do their policies actually make sense? They suddenly found that they *could* produce another 28 if pushed? Of course I know nothing about the business side of bjds, but I am a little suspicious about the way the bjd companies cultivate scarcity to have us clamoring over their product - and it totally works on me, might I add).

I missed out on the first Sard cohort and was both a little heartbroken and relieved. Now I am neither of those things.

I paid up my first 1/5th through paypal - I presume this will work, because that is explicitly how we are meant to make the other 4 payments. (i.e without them billing us or anything) OK, so this is almost as much as my car payment for the next 4 months. I will tell an exact total of one person outside of DOA about the cost involved.

Do we think they will take about a month to ship as seems to have been the case with Beryl? (There's my motivation to pay this off more quickly)!!

So exciting! My heart is beating fast and my budget is hemorraging wildly!
The only problem is that he makes me think of the famous Australian soap of the same name:

 

laeticia>> i think the idea that soom had them go out of stock periodically to keep up with current orders makes sense, so that in the in-between times, they can sort out the previous orders, make sure everything is in order. perhaps kelly meant with her 'i will check/let you know later' reply was that she needed to make sure that all orders had been taken correctly and stuff, and to get the go-ahead to 'reopen' the ordering?

at least we had the beryl experience to draw an idea of what the 'out of stock' meant. ^^;; i can't imagine the panic they must have gone through then. ^^;;

of course, making the product seem less attainable obviously makes it more desireable. XDD and it's a brilliant marketing strategy.

can i ask which paypal address you sent your payment to? i haven't sent mine yet because...i don't know which i'm supposed to send it to. D:

 

kiradyn_rhiode: I did a layaway for my Sabik a year ago, but I dont remember which account I sent the payments to so I'm going to wait for a response from Kelly and see what she says before I send the first payment.

allister7: Did you pay to the right address? And by what method, paypal balance or bank or credit card? If you used your bank or credit card, then it should take a 3-5 days until the transaction shows up on your paypal payment history. If nothing shows up after 5 days, you should contact Soom on their Q&A board.

laeticia: Sard Wonder? LOL I think he'll take a 30-45 days to manufacture. So.... if you do a 3 months layaway and finish paying off on the 3rd month, they'll ship your doll when they recieve that last payment and delivery by EMS is fast.

I just post on Soom's Q&A board, I hope I didn't goof up. I'm pretty sure I paid for him, but I have been going thorough an illness right now and it was a month ago so my memory is a little foggy. Could you tell me if you go to your account on the Soom website, where does it say that you paid? My status says "before shipping". Thanks again for your help.
