um, to clarify, the first payment is 1/5 of the total, right?

 

allister7: No problem! Before shipping is a good sign. That means that they have recieved all your payment which have been cleared and the doll is currently being manufactoring or is about to be manufactored or is done with manufacture and is being faceuped and/or waiting for the outfits. I suggest that you ask them if you become worry because they definitely have a lot orders and mix up can happen.

Yes, that is what I did because it says that on their layaway site for orders over $500 (for Sard, wig, EMS it came to about 161 a month). I wrote in the comments section of the order form that I was paying in 5 installments, I reiterated the info in the comments section on paypal and then I sent an email to Kelly after I used paypal giving my order number and when I was making the remaining 4 payments (June 21st etc through to September 21st) and asking that she confirm that she had received this (paranoid much?)

I used the same email address that people gave above ([email protected])

It does make sense that they would need time to plan making the large and difficult dolls. But still, our frenzy works well for them too. Anyway, glad you are getting him. He is so strange and unusual and I not easily replaced by any other doll.

By the way, I probably just missed this rather crucial bit of info (and it wouldn't have affected my decision), but do we know how tall he is??

 

It is just me being random and insomniac (sorry!), but it is this kind of 'miracle' soap that is supposed to get stains out better than anything else and it is the only other thing I've ever encountered called Sard (and it is so boring and domestic that the incongruity of it appealed to me...


By the way, how did you know how many Sards were left? Clearly I am just way out of the loop on bjd info gathering...

You won't get any kind of notice of payment. Just be sure to give them your order number and who you ordered in the comments section of your Paypal payment and I put that its layaway payment #_

Down below that I put the dates each payment is due and the amount. I just paid my second layaway payment on Beryl and copied and pasted that info from my first payment and marked the first and second payments as PAID. Just a way to keep everything clear and give them enough info to lessen chances of mix ups.

 

I think he is like Beryl - 65cm with the human legs and 69cm with the hooved legs.

 

well....that put a damper on things, seem like it not possible to put vega (female) head on a male body >.> well at least soom can't do it (flops down on papasan and thinks,while staring at the picture of sard)

 

I...I...I...just bought him. I...wow. I can't believe I just spent that much money on a doll. My hands are even shaking a little, and I don't think it's the mocha. I thought I'd have a stroke just ordering a basic Delf last year. AND I'm at work and I can't squee out loud or anything! My roommate thinks he's kind of creepy, but I just had to have him. He'll live in my room; she won't have to look at him if she doesn't want to. I think I've melted my brain; I'll be back later.

 

i tried to find where you found this information on the soom site to no avail
does any one know where this information is posted?

i'd just like to know how many are left to see if i can wait till tomorrow for my paycheck, or should i just go ahead and dip into my savings account. i hate having to use my savings, but i refuse to let him escape my grasp.

 

You can put them in your cart and change the quantity until it says that there isn't enough stock.

Edit: I just checked and there appears to be one left.....

 

Goodness, he is sold out again. That was really quick, though I think they restocked him with less then they did of Beryl.

 

Geez....that second batch went fast. They will probably restock again though. I'm glad to see Soom having so much success with their dolls. I have always been a big fan of theirs.

wasn't beryl restocked three times? i'm going to try and stay optimistic here.

 

Beryl was restocked at least three times I think.

 

Beryl ended up selling something like over a hundred dolls so I wouldn't panic. I think they will keep restocking for a bit yet. I'm still deciding if I need both Sard and Beryl.

 

Chai-Fiend--aww, I'm sure you'll get one! They'll restock him again, I'm sure of it! Good luck!

 

If I'm correct, they kept restocking Beryl until her cut off date. I would imagine they're going to do the same with Sard.

I bet they are some busy bees right now over at Soom! These hooved dolls are awfully popular.
