1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Soom Monthly Doll May (Taurus) the Third Land: Sard - Night Odyssey Discussion

May 15, 2008

    1. loagaeth>> thanks for the bag links!! ^^ i considered the dollzone one, but wasn't sure if i'd be able to take the weight of it. it looks heavy!! ^^;;

      the one you have is also a hard case bag, right? can i ask how heavy it is? :3

    2. No problem! I reference that sheet CONSTANTLY, so I figured it would be of good use. :)

      The one that I have is really not that heavy, which is good. There are pros and cons to either one. A hard case bag is more uncomfortable to carry because it doesn't bend obviously. I had wanted to get a soft bag, but I was worried that since it doesn't have hard walls on the sides it wouldn't protect the doll inside as well. I do plan on getting the soft one at some point, just so I can see which one I like better.

      I do have to warn you though, the shipping from that company is around $30. So altogether you're going to be paying somewhere between $70-80 for that bag.

    3. loagaeth>> wow, that's a lot for a bag. o__o is it located in a remote place? D: even my doll shipping usually averages $35 to $40. .__.;;

      i usually carry my bags out by hand, since my dolls have a tendency to buckle or flop around when i have the strap slung over my shoulder. D:

    4. Thanks for that link, Loagaeth! It helps with planning this lovely guy's wardrobe. ;)

      As for the Dollzone carrier, yes it's heavy. ^^;; But I have a 70cm doll, so I just deal with it. The Junky Spot carries them from time to time, so next time they're in stock, you can buy from them and save on shipping. :)

    5. malice librarian>> i've never bought anything from junky spot before. D: would you know if they ship out of the US?

    6. Oh, I didn't realize you weren't in the US. Sorry about that. :sweat To be honest, I'm not sure. I know there are other Dollzone agents out there, though. Here's a list from their website:

      http://www.doll-zone.com/agent.asp

      Hope this helps!

    7. Dollmore have some bags.

    8. i'm curious to know if you can cram a 70cm doll in one of those dollmore double bags with another doll. i know you could probably fit two dolls into one of those big bags, but i have eyes set on those double bags.

      i'm going on a day trip tomorrow and i'm paranoid that sard will be back in stock while i'm gone. like, i really just want to sit in front of my computer all day long. u__u

    9. Oh I know that feeling... do you know anyone who is willing to check it from time to time? *_*

    10. I think perhaps just removing their lower legs while they are in the bag, then put legs back on them when they are out of the bag could help? :sweat:sweat

      That's probably what I'd end up doing. O_O

    11. i check the website everyday -.-

    12. He's re-stocked, about 30 units I think. I'm guessing if Sard is completely 100% sold out, Soom will make an announcement about it. I'm starting to feel sorry for Soom getting shebanged with angry impatient customers. From reading through the waiting rooms, it sounds as if there are issues of broken fingers and whatnot going around. I hope they're not stifled and pressured so much that quality is lost in the process of keeping up with quantity demands but then again, it could be due to shipping.

      Bag an incubus? Would it be dangerous if we keep their knees drawn up a little so they'll fit into the bag o__O?

      New notice:

    13. That's not as long as I thought it would take for them to ship. Honestly, I figured it would be around that time normally, since it's taking about that long for my DOI to get here. That's cool though, I might have him by sometime in July then!

    14. Very cool that we've got details on when they'll be shipping out. And I know what you mean-I always feel a bit bad for companies/artists who get hammered with impatient customers.
      And...ok...I have to say 'bag an incubus' is the single GREATEST saying I've heard in a long while :lol:

    15. and thus he is mine.
      YES!
      i am so glad i've been watching the soom site like a hawk. oh man am i relieved!
      i'm so excited! i put him on layaway, but i can probaly get him quicker than five months.

      it's been YEARS since i ordered a doll, so i forgot what to do. :P already sent the money via paypal, but should i notfiy soom of the payment through the Q&A board?

    16. yep. the more i stares, the more i fall, but i'm waiting until leo >.> i want a feline more. been sidetrack.

    17. soom's customer service seems excellent. :3 it always makes me feel better if i can have a general idea of when i'd get my doll (assuming i can pay it off faster than the several months my layaway allows me to).

      re: 70cm doll in the double bag.
      i think it's be okay if you draw the knees up a bit. i know that my friend with the domuya flexi-body sometimes has her boy literally bent double with his knees drawn up almost to his shoulders to fit into her tote. and he's fine. i suppose bending him a bit wouldn't hurt, although those with body blushing might want to pad the pointy part of the foreleg, just to make sure it doesn't poke anything.

    18. You could always order a Dollzone 70cm bag. They have dealers in most countries and are not expensive. They're big enough for the hooves and your doll could lie down flat. I've got a Mecha Angel bag, and it will easily fit several dolls, but I'll be getting a Dollzone bag if I need another one.

    19. hobbysue>> to confirm, the dollzone bag is a hardcase bag, right? ^^;;

    20. It definitely is. It's practically luggage. >_>;;
