1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Soom Monthly Doll May (Taurus) the Third Land: Sard - Night Odyssey Discussion

May 15, 2008

    1. is it large enough to carry more than one doll? or is one doll (and some of said doll's extras) just about it?

    2. A 70cm doll takes up all the space lengthwise, and that's without shoes or boots. Aside from MSD and smaller, I really don't think more than one doll could fit. :-/ Perhaps someone has managed to do so before. . . .?

    3. Regarding bags for Big 'Uns, I have been happy with my hard case bought from CoolCat on ebay. It was a pretty good price and the postage was very fair. It JUST about carries two 70cm dolls, but you have to top and tail them to fit. Not terribly dignified!

    4. So I guess mine will be about July, so when I pay my last payment in July he should be about ready. Pretty good timing.

I got the Soom bag for Sabik, I think that should be big enough.

    5. Did anybody see this already?

      quoted from this site:

      Regarding Sard,

Thanks for your interest in our Sard,

The shipping date of Sard is expected to be delayed, because of the rush of orders.

If you order Sard after 24th May, it can be shipped out from the end of July to the middle of August.

And if you ordered Sard before 24th May, it can be shipped out from the end of June to the middle of July.

This schedule can be changed. It can get to you a lot faster than noticed time.

And please consider if you order Sard with options(faceup, body brushing, outfit, wig), it would take 7~10 days more.
So usually we send our dolls without options at first.

We hope you will fully understand this and we will try to do our best for quick shipping.

      We apologize for any inconvenience.

      Sincerely,
      Kelly.

I ordered before May 24th, but I dont know if I'll pay him off by June.... XD; I guess mine will come in August then (he's also getting a faceup so, that'll take awhile too ) .

Anyways, Sard is back in stock. :D

    6. madammaumau>> i do the same when i bring out 2 SDs in their carrier. ^^;; because i don't think there's another equally-balanced wway to pack them, haha.

i think i might go for the cool cat one, then, because i have a feeling that if i bring the big guy out, one of my other not-so-big guys will be following. ^^;; 1 bag is handier than 2, and i tend to bring along tons of extras, too.

where is cool cat based? :3 i'm trying to decide if the shipping will be worth grabbing some other stuff too!

    7. I believe Cool Cat is from Taiwan.

    8. anavel>> taiwan? 8D taiwan would be awesome!! X3 shipping should be reasonable, then. ^o^

    9. ahaha, imagining this just about cracked me up XDD.

this 70cm Coolcat hard case you bought, this is the rectangular one, right? not the coffin-case type?

and when you said "top and tail", that's with the cotton cover sandwiched in between, right? (i wouldn't want my dolls' resins bumping each other ---> dangerous!) do you also place some cotton cover at top and bottom when you do that? (<--really tempted to get the hardcase now, but always wondered at how roomy it is)

    10. yea i need to invest in some 70cm carring bag soon, seeing as how i seem to have all range of dolly. Sard isn't sold out yet, and june is nearly here muhahaha, oh boy.

    11. Yes, it is the rectangular one. The coffin-shaped one looks a little smaller. I put the two cushions on the top and bottom of the sandwich (to protect from bumps from outside) and put a baby blanket between my two dolls, to protect themselves from each other (their heads are between each other's feet and hands tucked down the sides, so there isn't much risk of scraping. I would attach a picture, but I don't think either Demian or Severn would ever forgive me). Cool Cat also include two faceup protectors with the case, which really are needed with this method of travel!

    12. does anyone know if the hoof circumference for sard is the same as beryl, or if the entire hoof leg-part was resculpted for him?

i'd like to start planning out clothing designs that would be possible for when he's on the hoof-parts, or at least start compiling a list of existing clothes that might work. :3

    13. wow, it seems really roomy! if you can also put the two cushions inside with the big boys... thanks it was a great help:)

    14. Ahem, I think that was my fault for bringing it up... sorry! :sorry

Hmmm, I'm not sure if they resculpted it or not. The backs of his legs are not the same as Beryl's, but then again that may not mean anything. That might have to be something you would ask on Soom's Q&A board.

I'm not really sure if anything as far as pants will work for him unless they come just below the knee like knickers or something. However I suppose the hooves would get in the way of putting pants on him if they are much wider than his legs. It might be a pain to remove his lower legs everytime you change him. :doh

    15. For those who are interested, there are 10 left from the third batch of Sard on the site.

    16. Hmmm, 10 left eh? This might be a goofy question, but has anyone kept tally? Does anyone know how many have been sold?

    17. indeed sard is enchanting >.> i never did get around to liking beryl.

    18. so far beryl is the only girl i've liked enough to almost buy which is a scary thought considering i more than welcome the sausagefest. come ye come all to my future man bbq. it's gonna be delicious.

... i'm waiting for someone to post their beryl or sard in interesting costumes. i'd love to see neat ways to solve the fitting over the hooves problem and designs that show off the features of the sculpt- and those wings of any one got them.

    19. There are already some nice Beryl shots in the Beryl discussion thread. One person has put hers in camisole and bloomers. Perhaps not the ideal choice for Sard (or perhaps it is, depending on the character. A transvestite incubus...) but it looks great on hers.
