No problem Lula78! I don't have a lot of experience with seams as non of my current dolls came with them, but I figured I'd pass on the advice.

What kind of "what ifs" are you worried about? The whole "ugly puppy" thing? :P

 

I can't get him.....but man those pouty lips are KILLING me.

 

I will attest to how solid Domuya noses are! Zen faceplanted into a table, via a full pint glass... :S Can we say "immediate coronary bypass efect"?

 

Kelhiel, my DZ Fei, has one of the most magnificent rhinoceros noses I've ever seen. He faceplanted once, and despite my completely epic dive across the entire room to try to catch him before he hit the floor, he crashed onto the hardwood. The boy's nose didn't even get a scratch, but I was covered in bruises from my failed dive. XD

Dollie noses seem to be a bit more sturdy than they seem, or at least that's been my experience. But Gods, I had, like, two heart attacks a second when Kelhiel fell; I couldn't imagine what would happen if a Monthly Doll with a delicate nose faceplanted.

 

The dolls really are much studier than we give them credit for. xDDDDD Though the sound of resin hitting hard floor always does stop the heart.

I've heard that the animal legs have had more issues with breakage than anything else though. My concern with the nose is merely an aesthetic issue. xD

 

I've seen a Sard in-the-resin and winced at the gentle tapering of his hooves, I can see them splitting if knocked, but then I work with horses and I've seen what happens to real hooves when they go a bit rubbishy, so I might be paranoid. :P

Sard's feet were bigger than my foal's feet when she was about two months old. O_O

I didn't manage to catch Zen and I was sitting right next to him, I did get covered in glass, ice and lemonade, and proceeded to sit and hug him for the next half an hour in a "No touchee!" manner...^^

 

There's a new teaser picture up which shows more of his outfit and about half of his torso. (From the figure I'd say Chrom is definitely a 'he').

Interestingly, it looks a bit feathery as well as furry - some sort of mixture of phoenix and werewolf, perhaps? Hopefully we'll find out today or tomorrow!

 

I'd definitely say a "he," though I must admit I'm a little disappointed that the picture is so over exposed-looking. Firey sure, but still. :P I could be mistaken, but it looks like there's some extra sculpting on his chest and torso beyond just the basic muscles. Definitely need more photos!

Out of curiosity, is anyone planning on staying up later into the evening to see if they open ordering up tonight? I have never been present for the beginning of a Soom MD ordering period, so I don't know whether to expect it to open late tonight or normal business hours tomorrow. I know there was some discussion of this earlier in the thread, but any thoughts from those of you who have already partaken in MD ordering?

Anywhoo, yes both Spiral and I are refreshing more than either of us care to admit to see if new pics are going up But the first thing both of us noticed is his nose and the hopefulness that it will be a little nicer than some previous ones haha~~ But from what both of us see so far >< We both might want him lol~~

 

Bellalupina - Well I'm in the UK and it's aready 1am here, so I'm not sure I can physically stay awake for that long, plus I have an exam tomorrow afternoon.

He's definitley a bloke, then. Very..Err.. Fuzzy! If he's a Bird/Wolf then I am utterly sold beyond words and my bank balance goes away. Given that my rent needs to leave though I can't actually order him tonight even if the cart opens out.

ldkjfalskdfjlffff ugh Wow, Soom, great photography skills you've got there. While I'm glad that there's a new teaser pic up, it does NOTHING to answer any questions, except about his gender, but we'd already pretty much figured that one out. I wonder what colour his wig is. I mean, in the first teaser pic, it's ruddy red, but in the second one, it's brighter. But I suppose that's just from the insane red lighting and over-exposed-ness. Bah.

Buuuuuut I dunno. I have no idea when the actual order period starts. D: SOON. Please?
I don't sleep, pretty much (summer break), so I'll be definitely awake to check frequently, though as Gracewing said, it's already 1am there, and he's still not up. D:

 

I thought I was safe, but oh how he has grown on me... I really can't wait for more photos! Just want to see what his face looks like unobscured :< I agree his torso does look a bit different, but that could just be an effect of a shadow with that crazy exposure/contrast... And I'm going to bed normal time tonight, although it's very tempting to stay up refreshing my internet window every 30 seconds XD

 

Oh good, so I'm not the only one who thought the quality of that picture left a little to be desired. And I'm really curious now for a closer/clearer view of the torso. It very well could be shadows or my imagination, but I can't help but wonder if it more of that sculpted fur like on his hands.

I plan on staying up fairly late just because, so we'll see.

 

ForeverYoung - nice reaction! XD Most useless photography ever... at least the outfit is looking to be rather...er..sparse but warm? He does look like he has extra body sculpting, perhaps in the way of the Werewolves mid-transformation when they get extra muscles?

Ok, if he is a cross, I might not want him. The clothing does nothing for me from what I can see.

 

Yeah I'm not super fond of the clothing other than the little silver moons on his chest, but I didn't plan on ordering his clothes anyway. Though I am curious to see if they'll incorporate some other animal aspects in with the wolf.

 

He's growing on ME!!I lUV him, uhh to me the silver moon on his chest it looks like a diadema fleur de Lys shaped.....It reminds to me Vesuvia a lot...
