the only fees people are talking about are paypal fees that you have to pay when ordering with a cc paypal account, and even then soom pays those themselves

 

No, there are no extra fees. I ordered and paid for a Glot (instant payment) and Cuprit (layaway) and never got charged anything like that.

 

I like the paws and claw hands but I shudder at hybridizing YET another doll! (Not much for projects...) But MAYBE I'll go for those legs and paws even though I have NO idea what I'd actually do with them...

 

That's weird..as in the cuprit split i've jointed in i was asked by the split patner to pay those fee...

 

Ah, you're paying to another person who's paying to Soom! That's why there are fees!

I thought Soom was asking for the fees.

 

Ah! In a split is different, because you're sending the organizer the money and their account will be charged fees and they'd end up losing money for something that's not theirs.

It's common that in group orders and splits the participants add the PP fees if the organizer has a Premier account.

But when sending the money directly to the company there's no need to pay for fees.

 

yeah splits your usually gunna have to pay fees so the organizer doesn't lose money out of their own pockets. Directly to soom, no fees. (I've done both with Soom MDs... one is a split, the other is directly from soom XD)

This is how layaway works with Soom.

There are two types of layaway plans with Soom: 3-4 Months and 5-6 Months. If you are paying 3-4 Months you just split that into 3-4 equal payments. Then on 5-6 months, you have to pay 25% of the amount + the shipping costs. I believe it is the same with 3-4 months, I am unsure. I'm currently still in the 6month layaway for my Amber so this is what I know.

Soom does not charge any fees for paypal. To note that you are taking a layaway, just order. Note in the note box you are layawaying and put out a template of when each payment is on the Q&A board is. It's pretty simple.

I was Soomed with Io, but missed him completely. I managed to get him second hand, and likely around what the basic doll went for. That's ok, cause Ken didn't need all that stuff. But my Chrom does. He needs his near wolf head and parts...just wish there was a wolf's head with him!

 

Bix and Io almost cracked me, but i resisted. but this guy....I need him. Him and all his wolfy-ness. -sigh- ...I just HAD to get a new car, huh?

Nope, you can get 5-6 month layaway but with more conditions. You have to pay 25% of the total amount than splitting it into 3-4 individual equal parts. So per say, you have $1005 to layaway in 6 months. 1st Month is $251.25 + EMS Shipping. Then the rest is split into 5 equal parts. I don't pay off my Amber until July. :'D;;;
