Soom Monthly Doll November (Scorpio) the Third Land: Vesuvia - Poison Kiss

When you put it like that, I can see how some people are disappointed. I never expected Euclase to be the pure awesomeness that he is; in fact, I was just picturing a normal doll with a blindfold and scales. I did expect something like her, though. I guess for sun-signed Scorpio's who don't like her, this must be a let-down.

Still, even if she is a cliché, I see some real potential with this doll. I personally love her, and I might be the biggest prude that anyone has ever known. I must admit though; that chocolate bit was... unsettling...

(by the way, I think I remember posting on your gallery with your lovely Aquamarine co-starring with a Sard (I think his name was Tarot, but I'm not too sure) that was related to her, as a brother or a cousin. Have to say again, she's gorgeous.)

 

I think people need to look outside of the fullset and see what she could become. I personally think she's got plenty of potential, and look forward to seeing what people do with her.

 

Hmm. Depends on how much money this month generates. I still have the last payments on Euclase, and other stuff to pay off lifewise. I do like her face a lot more than I anticipated I would, though the violet resin (despite being incredibly cool) isn't a huge selling point for me. Love the wild wig. Could take a pass on the outfit this round... but that is a really incredibly lovely face and she could likely be perverted into a really amusing fae critter of some kind with ease.

The big one isn't an emperor, but she's a close relative -- Heterometrus longimanus -- in the same family but a different genus, and she lives in SE Asia instead of west Africa. The little orange dude is Tityus stigmurus from eastern Brazil.

If they do that, then I'm REALLY screwed. ('Tis my sign, after all )

Seriously, she's blown me away. I'm really surprised at the disappointment some people are feeling. Purple pearl resin + scorpion tail + horns + hotness is pretty darn creative to me. Of course, I don't know or have much interest in the finer points of zodiac signs and their interpretations. I just like pretty monster dolls.

Soom takes all my money this year.

 

Just wanted to point out something here....a different resin colour is NOT a simple thing to do. Nor is a fully jointed scorpion tail, for that matter. It takes quite a lot of effort to do that.

But that said, I fully understand what you're saying about taking the intepretation a step further. I just don't agree. Which is fine.

but i wanted to clarify too, i sounded a little harsh in my disappointment, but that's just because i'm a scorpio & sick of everyone focusing on the sexsexsex aspect of the sign. but putting that aside, she's a beautiful doll like we would expect from soom, & i love how they keep experimenting with different resin colors. you know it can't be easy to make it work smoothly for each doll.

my theory on why it's not all soomed out with extra parts? because they're so far behind on the monthlies already, & everyone's getting irritable about it, so they're just trying not to put themselves even farther behind.

 

Wow she's amazing! The purple skin, that cool tail, the pretty face, the devil horns.

 

This girl (erm, woman, lol) has really impressed me! Granted, she's not my cup of tea, and I'm not at all fond of the femme fatale theme. But strip her down to just the basic DOLL, without the sexy getup and wild wig, and I really think she is wonderful! The resin color is gorgeous and that tail looks quite well done. I may not appreciate the presentation, but looking past it she is a unique and amazing doll (certainly not simple though. Io was simple).

And I agree, that beautiful resin of hers would look awesome with Topaz's fairy parts. It's a very, very good thing that I'm not into her face sculpt since I have a Topaz on the way. XD

 

I think she is pretty (reminded me so much of Beryl) and the resin is a very beautiful color but she is just not for me. I am looking forward to what people do with her. I also happen to like her outfit/heels

 

Yep, this exactly. I love the colour and face, but I"m more warrior woman sexy scorpio to identify myself with, not skanky. Heck and a warrior woman type a little mysterious can still have a whip haha. She's a gorgeous doll I just wish it was more dimensional than a skanky "dress". For desert creatures I was hoping for something arabian I guess, though her face reminds me alot of Miho from Sin City and as a blank sculpt I could have alot of fun creating clothes and prop ideas for

 

I'm safe. But I'm unsure what I think about her. At first I really disliked the face mold, but loved the tail, but in some pictures her face is rather lovely. She does remind me of Beryl and Topaz so don't see the need for her. The tail is awesome btw and the resin skin as well.

 

She's like a smiling Beryl. This time i noticed that the promo pics are quite...simplistic. Which actually allows me to see the doll as she is, especially how her resin color might be. I like her and luckily I'm only interested in male dolls.

 

Gah ... I was not counting on falling for her at all!!! But her face is so gorgeous, I think I'm stuck buying her!

I am seriously in love with this doll, but $1100 would kill me at the moment.

I'm a little unsure on the violet skin, but other then that she is absolutely perfect for one of my characters *dreams and hopes she can find one for sale at a later date when she has more money*

I am so in love with this girl! And am totally cursing my terrible luck, I can't even put her on layaway! Sigh. I love her face, I love her horns and tail and she's PURPLE. A SPARKLY purple! I am sincerely hoping someone gets her, hates her, and puts her up on the secondhand market when I have extra cash because man oh man would I love to have her. If I never get her and the Sag doll turns out to be something as dull and straightforward as a centaur...! I will be so crushed.
