Think she is an interesting take on the standard perception of what a 'vampy' lady should look like.

Agree she would have been great in a red shimmery resin tone.

I can totally see her as a rock-chick and she would make a great vampire ^^

 

Eh, I don't like her outfit at all, but she IS really neat! I love her weirdness.

 

Ha ha yes, Aqua's brother Tarot, belongs to Loagaeth. They photograph well together.

Yeah, again, I'll say she's a neat doll, I just hoped that Soom would do something different with the idea. I just would like to see her portrayed differently for a change. And I'm sure owners will do a ton of cool things with her, but the concept over all just made me a bit sad.

Yeah, I know resin colors are difficult, and I didn't quite mean it that way I guess, but I don't need to repeat myself. And the scorpion tail is def interesting, I just thinks its kind of cheesy. And disagreement is always good. Again, overall, I am interested to see what owners will do with her, but she has me completely turned off the way that soom is marketting her. And thats what makes me sad.

 

IMO the dissapointment is not because she looks skanky (thought mind you, i did not read most of the entries, so pardon me if im wrong), but because she is dull in comparison with the other dolls. Vega had fins, Sard and Beryl had hoves, horns and wings, Euclase was just plain awesome and so was Topaz. In comparison Scorpio has nothing, other then skin color, to make her special, the tail looks simply glued in to her tailbone and thats it. If, for example, Soom made the tail to be an extention of an exoskeleton that comes down her back all the way from her neck + have two pairs of scorpio-like legs instead of a pair of human legs in boring high-heel shoes, that alone would make her _instantly_ awesome. So it's not a matter of sexiness, it's a matter of boringness (+ speaking of sexy - Beryl kicks her ass anytime )

I asked a friend of mine what she thought of the doll, too.. She said Vesuvia had fish lips. XD

It's still very interesting to see what everyone thinks of her. I like how much of a discussion sparks from her, going back and forth.

 

I'm not saying a lot of work didn't go into her design and construction, just that they didn't put a lot of thought into her concept. I think the best way for me to phrase how I feel about her is that she is a very simple CONCEPT not a very simple doll.

 

She is quite pretty. But at the same time comparing to the previous two dolls I am slightly disappointed. I think it's because the last two had really strong fantasy elements to it and Vesuvia is almost... normal.

Her skin colour though is really really nice. It is absolutely stunning.
All the previous ones I actually want to just put them in a glass dome for display but she is almost er.. "playable"? (strange way to put it I know)
All and all though, she is more "personable" and a bit less extravagant, but I think it might be a welcome change for people who wanted dolls that is easier to match others?

 

considering the Sign of scorpio is a scorpion in the mainstream and considered THE most sensual sign in the zodiac I think this doll does capture the essence of what Scorpio is supposed to be.....sensual but deadly...
I've known a few Scorpio men..and...um they were very sensual...lol and deadly goodlooking..

 

Personally I would like her without the tail..I think she is visually appealing, and I would love to see if they captured the violet color better than other companies whose purple dolls were more grey than purple..

 

Oddly enough, I was just thinking she might be fun sans tail. In that color? She'd make a FINE zombie XD.

 

If she was less 'skanky', less 'porn star', less sensual then my husband wouldn't be buying her. Face it girls, she's for the boys.

I'd also disagree about there not being enough slutty boys out there to keep up with the likes of her. If you're boy 'harem' can't keep up, then I'd seriously suggest the need to evaluate your number 6-packs and ripped bodies. It may be time for upgrades. That new IP boy comes to mind. YOU HAVE THE POWER! LOL!

As for Beryl kicking her ass for sexy...well that might be subjective, but I think that was one subject hubby wanted to explore in his first photo shoot with his 'lovely pair'. So let the camera role! LOL!

Seriously, this is another doll that will rope in the male significant others. If they manage to ship Vesuvia out for a Valentine's Day arrival, that would be sweet!

I am still really amazed at the glittery resin. I imagine it is going to be a real challenge to get consistent casts! However, my Shadow Onyx is flawless as far as I can tell, not even any discoloration at the seamlines, so I bet they'll get it right.

 

Onix was cool because she supposed to be one of the twins, so once you put them together they are hot, but apart she's just a regular doll. And well.. IMO Io and Bix kind of sucked.

Looks like the resin is kind of a lilac color; I like that contrasted with the green eyes. I'm not a big fan of anything scorpion-related though. In real life, those things really scare me. I'm not at all tempted to buy her, but she is quite unusual and I always love seeing Soom's creativity and originality.

 

I really like her lips. Everything else is trashy, cheap, and cliche. Definitely my least favorite Zodiac doll so far.

Er, what? First of all, that's an awful generalization to make about guys, second of all, plenty of girls are into her, I'm sure.
