    2. Well, I think she's cool with her scorpion tail and horns and vampy-style. I like her outfit, too. I'd get all the Soom MDs if I could, but am just tapped out now, so no Scorpion Girl for me. Too bad some are disappointed, but that's life, isn't it?

    3. Love the head mold, resin and horns. As a basic doll with the horns she would make a great demon-blooded lady. As a scorpion tailed dominatrix, she doesn't appeal to me. As MieAga stated earlier, this is one for the boys. I think she has great potential to be something better, though.

    7. (Haha, I always find out about the Soom Monthlies from the WTS threads on the Marketplace XD) I really love Vesuvia's face! Her mouth is so... kinda chubby! It's really characterful. A little like Beryl's slightly less irritated sister XD

      I think Soom is still pushing it with creativity each month ... I mean, she's made of frickin' GLITTER. :chibi

      ... has anyone purchased EACH doll for the Zodiac since it began? (Or, indeed, been to a meet-up where there's been one of each?) It would be so awesome to see a whole line of horoscope signs! :)

    8. I really like how they managed to pull of anamorphic characteristics while still being quite the smexy girl, though I'm not sure I'm entirely fond of her scorpion tail high heels. I don't know, it just seems like a tad excessive when she already has the tail.

      As a side note, can anyone else imagine another soom girl in that exact outfit? The tail hole would be quite humorous. (Well, I think it is :| )

    12. Ohhh man. I have never had the money for Soom's gorgeous monthly dolls (and probably never will, as a poor soon-to-be college student), but I love seeing them, and Vesuvia is no exception.

      I personally really like her outfit and her overall look; there's nothing wrong with a sexy lady as far as I'm concerned. I can also see different possibilities for her, with or without the tail - as saintsavin said, she could be an excellent zombie, and I imagine she'd be great as any kind of gorgeous, unearthly creature. The horns seem a little out of place to me (I feel like she'd be stronger in terms of design if she were a scorpion lady or a devil lady, rather than both), but as others have said, I bet they would look good on another doll, or on a tailless Vesuvia. I think the purple resin is exciting, and I hope it comes out well.

      Congratulations to anyone who's getting her; I can't wait to see pictures! :D

    13. I showed my boyfriend Beryl back when she first came out, and he said he would have bought her had she not been quite so expensive. He doesn't collect or have any real interest in dolls either mind you. I was like "Oh really? Why exactly do you want this doll? You don't even like dolls really. Oh... wait.... could it be the big boobs, hot body, and sexy lingerie she has on?? It couldn't be." XD

      But then, my best friend bought a Beryl too. And she loves her too. So the sexy girls appeal to both men and women, they just tend to rope in some of the guys that never thought they would get roped in at all. ;)

      Edit: Whoops, she's out already! XD She's really pretty, overall, but I'm not crazy about her face... It's the purple skin that makes me cry; I have several purple characters. T_T Well, she isn't dark enough for one of them, so I guess that's good, but still! XD I love her tail!

    15. Continuing to linger on the fence about this one. It sorta depends on how much I make this month, and if I decide to shoot for one of the others on the general wish list instead if I do clear my goals by enough to let me do it.

      I know I could do some interesting things with her, and I really do adore that face -- I am just so not a purple person. That said, I still like that resin color from what I can see of it -- it isn't glaring purple, it's a very lovely shade -- and the shimmerybits are pretty nifty. I also actually need horns for one of the Denebs, too, and those are eerily perfect. I know I wouldn't use the scorpion tail with what I'd do with her, though, and maybe it sounds silly, but they did such impressive work with it that I would feel bad NOT using it... so I'm wondering if I might pass on this one to see what they do next month instead.

      (I totally dare someone to turn her into Synergy(sp?) from Jem.)

    17. Saying that boys all like "skanks" and "porn stars" IS a bad generalization. There is "sexy" and then there is this doll, who's an outrageous dominatrix cliche. And there's nothing wrong with that, but I would hate to think that it's safe to assume that all straight guys are going to be ga-ga over her just because she's wearing skimpy BDSM clothes. I mean, if that's true, I'm on the next train to Lesbian-town. If Soom came out with a doll that had a huge bulge and a leather man-thong, I would be offended if everyone said, "Oh yeah, that one's definitely for the girls!"

      Stereotypes are usually just that because they apply to the majority. Perhaps not all guys might think skimpy leather is sexy, but I'm sure majority of the hot-blooded XY population will find a pretty, leather-clad woman sexy. :\ You might not find it appealing, but it doesn't mean that everyone else won't either.

      Besides, there's nothing wrong with Soom coming out with a buff Akando-esque dude. XD For all you know, their next guy doll might have an excellent set of muscles on him, and those who like that sort of thing will go for him.
