Not that I'd ever have the money to have the dolls to do it, but I wonder if you can put the scorpion waist and tail parts with the Beryl legs....and what it would look like....

I will say that I adore her heels though!!

Not that she's in any way a bad doll, but we were expecting something bigger, beyond the obvious translation of the sign. If she had been released by herself without such epic predecessors, a lot more people would be forking up cash ASAP for her. She is sexy and beautiful, but we wanted to be blown away by the radical aspect of Soom's concept of how the sign can be represented.

 

I don't know, I kind of disagree with you, FallenEverdark. Soom's Topaz epitomized the Virgo trait of beauty, instead of finding some strange lesser known aspect of the sign. I don't think its their job to redefine gender roles, I think they just make dolls they feel like making. They hadn't made a femme fatale yet, so they made one...

I don't really think they didn't take a chance with her because sparkly purple resin with a scorpion tail is quite a chance. Probably more of a risk than making a pretty fairy, or a pretty lion. And in the past, when they went all-out with the sets and photoshop effects people complained that they couldn't see the sculpt enough. I think in response, they stripped down that stuff this time and focused on making every feature very visible. I for one really hope to see the crazy directions her future owners take her in...

 

She'd make an interesting dark fairy with the right face up, some tattoos and her normal butt parts.

I would have LOVED a tough warrior lady.

 

im surprised more people dont like her. i know the outfit and "chocolate talk' was a bold move and even the tail and heels for some people

but even though thats all removable alot of people still seem to be disappointed. i love her skin, her face is a little to pounty than i'd like it to be but still gorgouse!

While I could live without her outfit, and the devil horns seem a bitch much, that's about all I'm not going to be whimpering over. XD; I think she is lovely - and the slight bags under her eyes are awesome.

She looks like a blend of Beryl, Onyx, and Topaz, with a nose that resembles Euclase. I like her face, and wish she were dressed differently. If money were overflowing, I'd take her home.

 

Hmmm... Anyone know what man-doll she's clinging to in the ending photos? Sabik? His skin looks a little on the grey side to me but perhaps that's just from the photoshopping? Or is that an indication of what is to come next month? A grey skinned Mecha Angel man? No... It's probably a Super Gem, isn't it? They're slightly taller than the women folk, right?

I was honestly suprised to see her this way. Gotta love those heels though. Gawd, the resin is gorgeous, but i have a feeling there will be many a complication with it! What was with the "chocolate" thing? And was that a grey resin boy as well? Curious!

I really think she's a very cool and sexy Scorpian girl, even if the concept is not as "creative".

 

I guess I'm in the unpopular camp too, because I love her! That resin is absolutely stunning. I have to wonder how they got that pearl effect, and if it's present completely throughout the material. (When I used to do plastic casting, any pearl effects like that were only on the very top layer of the material.) Her face is lovely too. She looks quite a bit like Beryl. I'd love a chance to play with the tail XD.

I wonder what she'd look like with Topaz's clear ears, feet, and hands? Now THAT would make an amazing dark fairy.

 

Hmmm.....maybe the chocolate thing is that she's sweet and smooth as chocolate....Looking at it again...the only hand parts are the long nail parts...

as for the blood type thing....all of the monthly dolls after Deneb had weird types...Euclase is type D

And if the Topaz had been closer to this color than yellow....I'd have been soomed mush earlier....especially as that's my given name....

I love her shoes. I'm glad she's not a mecha angel. The tail is neat. The horns, meh. The outfit not so great... But her face! Vavavoom!

 

I'm surprised at the amount of people that have a negative opinion of her. I think they did a very good job with not only the doll, but the concept of her as well.The star sign Scorpio IS associated with the genitals, so although I wasn't surprised when it turned out that she was a femme fatale, I wasn't upset either. Then again, I'm not a sun-signed Scorpio, so I can't say much.

I see a great amount of customization going on with this beauty in the future. Soom, you did it again.

It's interesting to see that most people are either very 'meh' about her, or are pretty much in love ^^ I was kind of hoping for morefeet options (because they're cool!), but geez this girl just knocks my socks off. And very few of the girl sculpts have done that so far. (as in, only Souldoll's Tiny)

Well, now I must hoard monies, and check back later to be absolutely sure I'm still devastatingly in love with her before I decided to order. Hehe.
