    1. I can't imagine any reason why I won't love her even more when the rest of her pics
      are up (not that I'm trying very hard lol) but the thought of 3 dolls on layaway
      from Soom kinda hurts my head. Unless her outfit is really skimpy for the $$
      I'll want it. Unless her claw blushing is only soso I'll want it. I want her faceup.
      And her wig. And I love how soom body blushes their grey dolls...so add that too!!

      I was really hoping to finally get my Unoss, now I have to choose :-(

    3. I don't have any Soom layaways right now, but I have 2 MDs at home and 3 on the way.. so my mind is definitely thinking, don't you think that's enough Soom for now?

      Actually honestly, I feel as if I want to get Galena, I'm going to have to do some major rethinking about my dolly collection.
      I already put up a feeler for one of my dolls just in case, and I have 2 others on sale already, then I have an incoming doll I'm planning on selling the second s/he arrives.. but still, Cuprit, Glot, Eliv, Bygg, Yrie and then Galena.. it really does seem a bit much, especially as I like to have not so many dolls from the one company!
      You'd think this would stop me even thinking about Galena? xDD

    4. lol, I'm addicted to SOOM, and I only own one of their dolls so far xD

      I'm just annoyed that she comes out the same time as Iplehouse's new girl Yur. Yur = a must get for me, and if Galena turns out like I'm hoping, it means saying bye to my Iple Jessica Pierrot (the only one I'm willing to part with >.>) So part of me is hoping she's not what I want, the rest of me is saying 'Bring it on!'

      this year while I was sick that two of my walls had ceiling tall shelves full
      of Soom MDs lol. The thought is so lovely but the reality just makes you
      kinda sad. Sitting here thinking of selling my pretty Gibson...for a doll.

    9. I don't find Cass and Galena at all similar, simply because I LOVE Galena so far but didn't like Cass at all (liked everything about her except her face).
      I also find Cass to be very mature and gentle, so far regardless of faceups, whereas Galena seems ageless and powerful.
      It could be that the interesting skin colour and the stronger faceup are doing that though?
      It'll be interesting to see what Galena looks like WS if indeed they do offer a choice of skin colour. Perhaps she'd look completely different?

      Lula78, I had a dream of collecting every single girl tiny MD this year, but then I didn't get Hati (her NS put me off) and now I'm kind of glad I didn't!
      I think 6 tiny MDs would be LOT somehow, especially when you add 2 super gem MDs in there too.
      I generally don't like having more than 10 dolls I've discovered. Any more and I start to get really anxious for some reason! Which means, I really need to do some thinking about bringing in ANOTHER big girl.
      Urghhh!!!

Looking at the image more closely, it looks like the upper part of the wing is the grey or violet that the body and head are, and the lower piece is transparent or pearl, then airbrushed heavily to match the grey where the pieces connect. If you look at the 'grey' of the two parts of the wing beside one another, there's a difference in the texture that makes me think one is base resin color, and the other is paint over something else, though I'm not entirely sure how to explain that in terms that would allow someone else to spot the same thing.

      So, I'm betting on grey or violet upper arm wing, transparent or pearl lower arm wing.

      Don't get me wrong, I think it'd be fantastic if they could mix the resins like that -- and I think it's sorta possible, just not on the timetable and production scale they have to work with. (There would be way too much waste since I can't see it coming out well every time.)

    11. That's what I assumed the wings were too actually!
      After seeing and poking the Yrie/Alk wings in person, I know basically how they work, and if Galena's are the same, it would be easy for them to have the normal resin (whatever colour she is) for some pieces and then transparent/pearl/whatever for others.
      They'd then of course have to do some major blushing to make all this match.
      Before we started thinking about the possibility of PS effects, this is what I assumed was going on, with the parts of the wing closer to her 'hand' being pearly and the parts closer to her body just being the normal resin.

      I'm hoping for pearl so much that it's NOT A GOOD THING.
      Whenever I hope for something from Soom, they don't do it, and I end up disappointed (even if the doll they release is actually amazing!!! xD)

    12. In my opinion, the resin mix effect is blushing (plus some PS maybe) and transparency - Photoshop.
      But, as I said above, I'm pretty sure I do see some pearl on wings.

      On a side note, it really annoys me when sites use too much Photoshop on display images.
      When I'm looking at those photos, I want to see as much of the real doll as possible, and PS doesn't make it easier :/ Soom uses a lot of PS unfortunately, though most of the times they simply add too much brightness (Sphaler was barely visible for me for example). Maybe they should just buy some decent monitors, or calibrate them correctly ;)

    15. That's what I'm expecting. I don't know, maybe I'm zany, but I just can't see them doing bird-like feet twice for two gods in a row, essentially. And a Sphynx would throw people, I think, in the same way a dragon threw people a couple of months ago... I really feel she may be a Sphynx, with an outside chance of Gryphon. Right now people are thinking Harpy, but I just have to zig while folks are zagging.

      Now, I'm 1000% ready to be completely wrong. ;)

    16. I think it will be a bird feeted girl, to match with Euclase. Beryl and Sard went together. Heliot and Cuprit sort of go together. The Fish Vega is sort of a pair for Cass.

    17. I don't think that she will have something else than bird feet because of the "pitta" in her title.

      I really hope Soom will show us the whole Galena soon! I really hope that she comes with 2 heads because now I can't decide if I should give her a white theme (white wig, white eyes and white clothes) or a red them (dark red wig, dark red eyes, dark red dresses). :doh

    18. ..... I know Pitta and wings really making her toward a bird feet. But I still wish she does have something else. I like her face ... but I got Euclase (whom I love to death) and the two little birdies a fourth one will be too many ....

      But Soom never does what I want so that is that. My dream for a grey unicorn became a dragon LOL LOL

    19. What a unique and lovely face she has! I like the golden-on-grey color scheme, too. I am so curious to see what her feet will be . . . but I think I am safe from her. After getting my Cuprit I discovered that the SG girl bodies just aren't for me, which makes me sad 'cause Galena's gorgeous (and will be pretty darn hard to get another body for, lol) but oh well. More money to save for next month's tinies I guess.

    20. I actually see arguments for both a birdy and a sphinx.

      It really doesn't make sense to have a dragon (claws) then a bird (claws) straight after.
      Plus, the sphinx would link to Euclase without being a direct copy of his concept.
      At the same time, pitta is a type of bird and it's in the name.

      I'm not sure how I'd feel about a Sphinx right now as I've been dreaming of having a female Euclase for a long time!
      The baby birdies, even though I am bringing Yrie home, just didn't fill my BIRD DOLL NEED at all because of the chubby feet I'm not even sure if I'll use.
      I'm really craving some of those giant beautiful birdie feet.
      However, I have this twisted obsession with ancient Egypt and so would probably be really happy with a sphinx too once the initial NO BIRDIE FEET disappointment died xD
