Soom Monthly Doll November the Second Land: Galena - Deity Pitta

I'm very intregued by this new girl. I might have to buy my Euclase a mate! I was pretty disappointed there were no baby Euclases though. *sighs*

 

Oh, I just realized she has a claw on her wing! How strange!

But she's beautiful; I think white skin might have worked better with her color scheme, but I need to see the full pictures before I can judge. Soom probably can pull it off!

 

I really didn't know what to expect here. This wasn't it, but she's still AWESOME! I can't wait to see her fantasy parts as a whole! More pics! MORE PICS, I SAY! *shakes computer*

I noticed the claw originally but I don't think my brain really engaged that BIRDS DON'T HAVE CLAWS. xDDD (Yes I'm dumb, I know this hehe)

I sort of just came up with a name for her.. but I'm wondering how weird it would be to have a female doll and really is supposed to be female, but with the name of a well known MALE character.
Some of you who know me probably know EXACTLY what I'm thinking at this point.
Hint : She'd be the lover of another of my dolls xD

 

I don't remember who suggested it before, but if Galena - Deity Pitta is a reference to the pitta birds, would Galena have 3 foretoes (how do you call them) instead of the 2 fortoes that Euclase and Alk and Yrie have?

I really hope her colouring matches the pitta bird too!

Oh, she looks like a harpy! I haven't seen anything too interesting from the SG line for a long while, but this one looks very pretty. I love the gray resin, her face-up, eyes and lips. Not sure about the nose, and I wonder if she'll have wings AND arms or just wings, like the tinies.

Ok back to topic. Im kinda going ? on the comments on the soom page. They cant make every single doll in ws, no way. And there is plenty of dolls available in ws as it is. To say stuff like- well u wont be seeing me buying it cause its not this and that colour, wont change stuff, and tbh I find it rather rude to say that to a company! You dont march into a store, looking at jeans, see that there is no red ones, then go to the clerk saying "there is no red jeans, so your loss, Im not gonna buy any of the others". To each their own, no problem, you dont like GS, you dont like it, but you dont go to the company and say that -.-.

 

Yeah, I totally agree with you, Neffy. Those comments don't have any added value to the doll. And if you don't like it.. well, you don't have to buy it, right? Some people... I find it rather rude.

I agree, the comments are rude ... but thats all they are - comments/opinions... Soom setup the feature to hear opinions and get ratings. All may not be nicely put unfortunately... those are they breaks

 

I just don't get people sometimes, I really don't.

I mean, I don't like human ears. Does that mean I'm going to post I HATE HUMAN EARS HOW DARE YOU SOOM if they make a doll with human ears?
I don't like NS. Does that mean I yelled at them for making Hati NS (I'd have gotten her if she were WS). No.
I LOVE fantasy resins and I think that we've seen quite enough of normal skin tones at this point. It's time Soom start being creative and trying new colours. Does that mean I yell at Soom whenever they release a WS or NS doll? Certainly not!

On the reverse side too, it's so annoying that people who hate fantasy resin colours are always the ones who speak up!
I mean, you don't see those of us who love fantasy colours commenting on every single doll release THIS DOLL WOULD HAVE BEEN GOOD IF YOU RELEASED THEM IN A DIFFERENT RESIN COLOUR, BUT YOU DIDN'T AND SO YOU SUCK SOOM. (maybe we have more sense than that?)
So all Soom really see is a mass of I HATE GREY I HATE GREY I HATE GREY.
At this rate they might stop being creative and we'll just see WS with the odd NS from here on out.
I can hope that they realize there are LOADS of us who like these crazier colours so at the least, will keep making dolls like this but offer WS to keep everyone happening.

Personally I'm THRILLED they did grey skin (even though this means now I want her!)

Yeah, Im afraid too that they will stop making other skin colours than WS or NS because people are posting about it. I hope however that the selling figures will make them see how popular she is/will be.

Oooo, how gorgeous...and if it is grey skin, all the better as it seems that I am becoming grey skin obsessed as of late. Pitty I'll likely miss out yet again this time. Seriously missing my old job

 

I know I'm screwed. I wanted a bird based harpy that I was going to do some outrageous customization to get to work with Onyx because I assumed Galena would be white skin. But I love her face! I love her grey skin! I need to see if I can do some quick selling immediately, because unless she doesn't have bird feet this lady needs to come home.

 

she's quite amazing, expecially the wings...
