Soom Monthly Doll October (Libra) the Third Land: Euclase - The last judgement

I know, right? HE (alone) is going to make me get a job and do well in academics! 8O He alone! Nothing before could make me, but EEEEUUUUCLAAASSSSEE.... I want him SO badly. And like I said, $7/hour, 8 hours a week. I can so pull that off, right? DX And improve my grade. AP Calc bumped 5 points for my first doll, I'm sure I can manage to tolerate the workload for this great...thing... O________O; (if I can stop looking at his picture. XD)


EDIT: I think the wings are magnetic. I can see human ears if you look closely, beside the cheekbones...

I really hope he will be in resin colors other than grey.

seriously guys i cant even concentrate my heart is pounding. this doll is perfect! (if its hooved ill die!) i have always loved the egypt theme!

 

I'm perfectly okay with grey. I am just in LOVE. (he might be my only grey doll. XD I'll make him my little God...or something. I'll find a place for him. XP)

I think people might have been tripping over themselves if they casted him in tan, lol. Then again Soom might pull a "haha you think its grey but its just a black and white photo!" like DoD did with Kalix and Delphine, but this time its the other way around. Although I'm pretty sure he's grey comparing him with the other monthly dolls. And I'd be surprised Soom didn't offer him in like white skin, haven't they done that with all their monthly dolls so far?

So awesome. XD I don't know what to make of him yet (still trying to talk herself out that she doesn't need him). He really could go so many ways, reincarnation, brought back from the dead, zombie, vampire, or ah I do have a race I created who have grey skin...I might...have to do that, lol. They are controllers of dreams, 'Dream Masters", and they get grey skin and very ashy-blue pale hair when they are in the dream world.
Love the name Khalfani as well! Especially the meaning behind it.

Mecha Angel was the first doll that popped into my head based on the hands, but just never know. He is a gem stone and it seems the gem-named dolls are super gems. It could be a new type super gem body as well for all we know.

 

I dunno if I'd want him in grey or not. I love the idea of a grey doll, but I'm getting a grey Kalix and two grey dolls might be a bit much. XD If he is grey though I would imagine that they would offer a WS and/or NS option though, since the grey skin tone is more work for them. If he is following an Egyptian theme, I too wish they would offer him in tan! But even Io didn't get a tan option, so perhaps Soom isn't fond of doing tan resin.

. . . and dangit, now I'm wondering about his feet too. And looking some more, those hands look awfully MA-ish, but they might be specially sculpted for him with those nails.

 

Actually, Mecha Angels have really small hands (they're about the same size as Super Gem), and really long necks. This boy has the short muscely neck of a Super Gem... I don't think they would do a whole new body, but maybe he has special legs or something.

Im trying to figure out his legs... Looking at my sard his hooves are huuge to support the joints in the legs... I am sooo curious as to what they are going to do - if anything at all

 

i would love it if he was tan but would hope for white. it would make it easier if i ever needed to replace his body.


his hands are huge. what sculpt has such huge hands?

 

His hands look the same as my sards except it looks like the tips are more bulb like - more paw ish haha for those nails I think

 

Oh thanks for the info! Now that you mention it, his neck is rather thick and not very swan-like, lol. I'm not too well aquainted with either sculpt, so it is hard for me to tell the differences.

 

Wait... he's Shadow Onyx's counterpart, like Beryl/Sard! =O The mysterious look, even the "last judgement" theme fits well with her! Then... would Light Onyx's counterpart be Topaz? And why have we not seen Vega's?

He very well could be her counter part! maybe we didnt see the past ones because ... its a new thing?

 

Or it might be something to help them think of new molds when they're running low on ideas! Like, Vega, Bix, Beryl, Onyx, and Io, were probably easy for them, but maybe Sard and Topaz and this guy were harder? XD shall we go into more speculation? That's five dolls, twelve months, three pairs. Oooh, wonder if they'll continue the theme! We might look forward to another mer-person, then, or another broody, violent counterpart to Bix, or something wild and serene! Maybe we should move this to the speculation thread. XD

 

Ugh... Soom just HAD to do something egyption-esque and sleeping faced. Like IO, Euclase is surprisingly feminine. I am curious to see more and how those hands and winged ear thingies fit in with his design. If anything, I will be buying him just for that outfit! Maybe I should just give up and hand my bank account over to Soom for the rest of the year, LOL!

I looked up the gemstone Euclase and found it amusing that "Euclase is formed with the decomposition of Beryl in the presence of Topaz" (MineralGallery). It brought to mind an image of Euclase standing next to my fullset Topaz and looking down at my poor unstrung & (still) unpainted Beryl. *sigh* That yet-to-be-posted BUY button is already calling me...

 

Like, because of the mixed imagery, the 'demon' Beryl and the 'light' Topaz, the Beryl falls apart as darkness in the presence of light? And because Euclase is The Last Judgement, he watches this 'balance'? or, like, last judgement can mean death, so...

 

I have both Super Gems and Mecha Angels, and their hands are exactly the same position- so that is not giving away anything at all But as others have stated, as long as it is a gem name it is Super Gem, plus it seems like Super Gem is the new "monthly standard".
