SOOM Monthly Doll September the Second Land: Sphaler - Millennium Mireu

Well, soom just changed up the whole pattern with this guy- but I think it's nice, rather than a redo of heliot with simply grey skin and transparent hooves or something.
Still- makes me serious wounder now if we'll be getting little birds and a big bird next round. (<- really really wants little birds)

That all said- I'm interested to see the rest of him and honestly not sure if I like the snap on ears- means possibly one less head being offered with him and less looks then.

 

whoever called the chinese dragon was right. I think. I can't figure out what skin tone he is, nor what his face really look like, lol, it's an "interesting" angle. lol oh well, he should go on sale sometimes this week so...

 

Oh little birds would be gorgeous and too cute! I like him so far and I'm really curious to see the legs. His face is really pretty too. My wallet is already cursing me!

 

Maybe next Soom MD female could be a bird why not, maybe gray too?
actually i like his hands and his body blushing, if hell going to have WS only, ad of cousre i'm lusting to see his optional parts, if he'll going to have the same shape of Amber's fauna legs i'll going to be mad of love about him!!!

edit: is it just me or is it Hati/Skoll all over again on the release comments? There are some VERY rude comments posted for his tease picture on the Soom site. Geez just cuz he isn't a Grey Heliot with transparent horns is no call to swear and whine on the board... just rude. :<

 

I really like the color scheme of him. Its really beautiful. Heliot's was very beautiful as well. I am so excited to see what his legs look like!

One comment though, I am completely confused by people that are saying that Soom is not being original or are being redundant by reusing the same idea over and over. For crying out loud they have a story and are filling in all the slots. So of course there is going to be some similarity to their dolls! However I think that Soom makes each one look really good and distinct - even if I never care for the girl dolls.

I am looking forward to the posting of the full pics to see what kind of feetsies he has!!!

 

Ugh. I really, really hope Soom ignores those comments. Some of those are nasty.

I'm actually OK with the snap-on ears. It doesn't integrate as well like the other MDs with fantasy ears. But it does keep the cost down. Molded fantasy ears = another head = higher costs.

The only thing I'm really, really hoping they don't do is legs like Amber. They look awesome, but I keep hearing horror stories about how she can't even sit properly. The standard Sard/Beryl/Chrom legs would be fine.

 

Seconded. Holy cats some of that is just... so incredibly juvenile. Critique and opinion is all well and good, but there are polite ways to express that, and it's sad to see how rapidly people have forgotten that!

I would have loved a grey Mr. ThunderyHooves, but I'm really, -really- liking this guy because he's so different. He has that 'softer' look about him that I admired in Cass, so unless he's through the roof on pricing, he's coming home.

 

It is pretty much like "I WANT THIS, what do you mean it is gonna be something different?!"

Chinese dragon = lots of cool points for me. I'd be interested in how they do his legs... I have a nagging feeling it is going to be less like Sard/Beryl/otherhooves but more like Chrom...

 

Is it just me, or does his skin look kinda...shimmery? Like Vesuvia's? I can kinda see it on his antlers, where the gray-ish blushing meets the white resin.

And second surreality's comment on him being different (and coming home!).

I'm pretty sure his skin tone is white with silver/gray blushing instead of a light gray resin. Also, whats up with the rude comments? A simple "not for me because of X" would be so much better! Or, just don't comment...its not like they are forcing you to buy it. If you don't like it, sit this one out. No big deal.

 

I haven't seen his comments page coz I don't really care what they think about it, only my opinion counts to me. I'm sure soom will disregard them, they know hundreds of people will be buying him and will love him whole heartedly- That's why they are in it.
I'll be following his progress.

 

Ooooo a dragon! I was thinking more of a deer . . . I like the idea of a dragon though.

 

I'm not very fond of his hands, BUT that could be just the angle of them. As a whole, they could be pretty awesome- it also depends on the context. If he's a dragon, bigger clawed hands make sense. If he's not a dragon, well, they could still look pretty cool with his whole set.

I'm also following his progress jacobean.

Makes me wonder if he can be sanded?

And I have such mixed feelings about his feet if they aren't hooves. Especially if his resin isn't cream white! If not, I'll end up getting hooves...he looks awesome in the preview, and I don't want to miss out on him.

Well, we'll have to wait and see if the rest of him is as awesome as his face!

 

I'm hoping that the ears ARE detachable because they'd be perfect for my Cass I'd be so tempted to get him on the bases that he's a freaking dragon

Also, it really bugs me that people get annoyed because SOOM arent released dolls they want. I mean, they have this story all planned out and I'm assuming that the character designs are all sorted too ... so I would also assume that people crying that they want a grey heliot isnt going to make them change their ideas. Saying that though, who really knows how SOOM works

 

I think he has a very beautiful calming feeling about him, like if you were lost in a forest of snow he'd come and find you.. and you know you'd be safe. XD

And I kinda wanna go smack around some of those people leaving dirty comments on the sOom site, i bet if you gave them some play-doh they couldn't even make something resembling a human being-respect the art!!
Its impossible to please everybody, all they can do is make something from their heart they feel is beautiful and try to share it with us.. they all need to shush. /end rant

 

If they want a gray Heliot so bad, they can dye one gray. Its not as hard as it sounds and it would make their Heliot different from all the rest! No need to get angry with Soom for actually doing something new
