SOOM Monthly Doll September the Second Land: Sphaler - Millennium Mireu

Oh how wonderful! I think he is a dragon for sure...the hands and angle of the horns, plus the translation of the Mireu all leads me to think dragon! I am very happy they did not just do another Unicorn boy...that be kinda boring imo lol. Good for Soom to keep expanding their ideas!

I am in love with that wig and outfit...I cannot wait to see more

EDIT: Wanted to ask (sorry if someone mentioned it already I must have missed it), does anyone else think the ear tuffs might be removable? They look like they are a separate piece from the normal ear. That is pretty neat if they are!

 

I was thinking the exact same thing! Just dye the doll! Or if they're too afraid to (I know i would be) commission someone to do it!

I think this guy is gorgeous, but I don't think I'd buy him. He's cool, but I'm just not in love with him. But I'm definitely looking forward to seeing people pictures!

 

Anyone else see those things on his ears as feathers?

I hope he isn't the bird I've been hoping for...

Because I haven't gotten a paying job yet and will cry bitterly if he is ;o;

 

I have "issues" with WS male dolls, they are lovely, but just not for me.... but this guy may be the one to get me past that He doesn't really look WS to me, more of a soft grey. The fun thing is if he does have hooves, but has some grey to him, and people want a dragon, then there are always Euclase talons that can be blushed

 

LOL~ No worries there. After 6 months, you'll find some at the MP... It happens to ALL of SOOM's MDs... People just buy and sell, buy and sell, buy and sell...

I'm safe though. I have one SOOM MD and that's enough. Can't afford another one, and I'm saving for Carnel...

Well, color me intrigued. I was all geared up for a gray unicorn boy, and then they turn it all around! Way to keep me on my toes, Soom!

I must say I find him very interesting so far... his face sculpt is lovely and I like the antlers and ear-tufts. I'm not sure on the claw-hands... they look a little misshapen but it might be the blushing. If he has a tail and/or claw-feet to complete the dragon image, I might be digging through the couch cushions again.

If he has hooves, I think I'm safe. But dragon-clawed talons? Then I'm in trouble.

 

I'm gonna wait for more pictures to decide. From that one image alone, he looks a bit too placid for me. :\ I'm one of the ones who were hoping for a dragon, particularly an Asian-styled one, so I'd like to be able to supprot this!! X3 (although given my finances, maybe only the head, or something... OTL)

 

Hes pretty :0 but not grasping at me. I am curious to his lower half (... gah that didn't sound good XD)

Hahaha I agree Swifteh! So far I'm not soomed, and I think my wallet is letting out a large sigh of relief. But...who knows, I'll wait to see what the other pictures show.

 

I have never seen a doll that gave off such god-like vibes as this one...not even Heliot. The serenity in his face combined with the "old" hands that look like they could have built the world, wisdom behind the youthfulness you see at first glance. Also, the fact that the "horned god" has occurred in various cultures...the more I look at him, the deeper I fall in love.

Yep, now I'm to the point of so much for the bank account, I'm really hoping it's hooves, not claws. I would just die for white skin, and hooves.

 

He's disturbingly growing on me more and more, to the point where I'd almost consider breaking my NO BOYS rule.
I can just see him and my Titania (Cuprit) making an amazing couple.
You can just guess what I'd have to call him too? xD

It really could be that he reminds me so much of my ex though.
I'd had over 10 years of dating before I met this guy, yet he was the first person I'd ever fallen in love with. He was 7 years younger than me, which still placed him in the teens bracket (yes I know, bad move!) and I adored him.
Gave up a year of my life to be with him all to find out I meant nothing to him at all (turns out he didn't even consider us dating, after a YEAR). It was a pretty nasty end too which I won't go into here cause really off topic, but even to this day, I'm not sure I'll ever feel for anyone quite what I felt for him.
I actually ended up with the vocalist of that guy's band who was my rebound, pulled me out of the whole thing, and we've been together for over 2 years now.
I have no feelings for the ex anymore as such but, I have this love for Sphaler that is different to my usual dolly wants.
Usually I'm like OMG and I get excited and squee and am hyper for days.. this is more a warm feeling of longing.. which makes no sense.

I should note at this point that I'm very sick with repeating ear infections, drugged up on as many painkillers as I think it safe to take, and probably losing my mind.
I'd so go and get a kirin if I wasn't so drugged up! More strain on liver not a good idea!!

More on topic, I think I'd be disappointed if Sphaler had hooves, even though it seems only natural that he would.
I don't necessarily think it would be Soom "selling out" or anything like that, I just really feel like I want to see something different down there. (smirk at my dirty mind)
Though if they created an entirely new style of hoof, that might be awesome too.

I'm pretty sure I can't have him, regardless of the strange pull I have towards him, but I really hope someone I know well will get him so I can poke him! xD

 

Phew, though I don't go for bigger dolls I still always feel apprehension when Soom release their new MDs........ But stunning though he is (omg love those ears) he is NOT for me

I don't really see how people can be miffed - it kind of spoils the fun if Soom just release everything to our expectations. Disappointed yes, but profanity-worthy ticked off? Puh-lease, it's only a doll

He is lovely! I have been wanting them to do a dragon since they started the MDs. The outfit looks awesome! Finally an outfit with more than a strip of fabric and a loincloth! I like a nice chest as much as the next girl, but it's nice to see that not all the gods of the realm are such exhibitionists.

I love that Sphaler isn't grey. That never made sense for a god of Light. A grey Heliot would have been boring conceptually and illogical for Soom's 'world.' The silvery white quality of his blushing is incredibly beautiful. The horns are lovely and such a delicate shape. I'm not much for the hands, but I can see their dragonishness. I also love that he doesn't have poufy botox lips! That is my least favorite thing about Heliot and Cuprit. He reminds me a tiny bit of Volks Alain from that angle.

My layaway list is already too long by about two BIG ones. Had I known that Sphaler wouldn't be just a grey unicorn I'd have waited on Zion.

 

*Squee!* Is this guy possibly a Kirin?
The silver/white color tones are beautiful!! I like how his facial structure isn't as idealized or androgynous as some of the other MD boys. Gah! Can't wait to see everything!!!

its wierd that they went so far from the pattern? hooved babies and now a big dragon? will there be no dragon babies? lol

 

The outfit is amazing, the parts are interesting, but that face is very blah to me. The over-all balance of the features is poor imho, it looks like something someone just learning to draw might come up with. I do look forward to seeing the rest of that outfit though.

 

Personally, I am hoping he is a traditional five toed Chinese dragon, and not a hooved kirin. But since Soom is Korean, I'd understand four toes too.

Sphaler is not in my budget, nor do I plan on acquiring him by hook and by crook no matter how much my wallet protests. I'll admire him from afar. I do want to see more head-on pictures of his face however. Most of the Soom male MDs have faces that have been too soft for my personal taste. Your mileage may vary.

 

i love his face...
