It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. Soom Monthly Doll September (Virgo) the Third Land: Topaz - Honey Dew

Sep 19, 2008

    1. :doh:doh:doh She just HAD to be an elf didn't she!!!

      My credit is doomed :...(

      Good thing they do layaway!!!

    2. I hope they have her available for ordering soon, otherwise we may get teasered until Monday.

      *twitch* *twitch* *twitch*

    3. I'm breaking down. I really need to see the full photos. that tiny image is wreaking havoc on my imagination. I'm hopeing, for my money's sake that I dislike the full sculpt. Needless to say, I doubt it.

    4. I couldn't have said it better myself. Its really amazing to see a company experiment with a wide range of features and asethetic ideals. Why do all girl dolls have to be cutesy and fey? I love Soom's approach to depicting human variety in their dolls and that very different sculpts like Topaz and Vega are from the same visionary maufacturer. Now if they could just be a bit more ethnically diverse, they'd be the perfect company.

Several doll companies come to mind as not having this much confidence (ie all their dolls look very similar). I really feel that they could learn a thing or two from Soom in this respect. :abow::abow:

    5. she is really amazing 0_o but i have no meny for this >_< really why most i pay schoolmoney D:

    6. she just had to be an elf didn't she! just when i've started looking for a female elf, but i've promised not to buy anymore after kalix till weeeell into next year :|

    7. Amen a hundred times over.

I am generally not fond of 'cute' at all. It's what prevented me from buying a doll for years -- so I am especially grateful to Soom for this.

    8. LMAO!!!

(How much are you charging for your soul :P)

    9. I looove those translucent elf ears!:aheartbea Soom never fails to do something out of the ordinary with these monthly dolls. Can't wait to see more pics!

    10. Pardon me for asking. I hadn't seen your previous definitive post.

    11. hey im all for curves and bought my beryl (now sold) BECAUSE of her pouty face- im just saying i can't imagine that type of figure on a fairy/elf, if i had to age her, topaz, by this one photo, i would say she looks 'younger' than a beryl or dia etc....we will know soon enough!

p.s i did not mean beryl was indelicate-my image of her is that of a 'strong'woman, personality wise. nowt wrong with that!

    12. oh god.. they just know exactly how to kill you :(
I hope she won't be as beautiful on other pictures as she is now......
      i'm still crying over beryl i couldn't get ;;

    13. Yeah, I'm just saying that for a faery, I'd LOVE to see one w/ a full body. In ancient times thats what fae were, large hips, symbols of fertility sometimes, I get really bored w/ the waifly child like fae. Or the ones who have rail thin bodies w/ some boobs. BRING ON THE CURVES!

    14. I'm desperate. Its on sale. Make an offer? lmao

What about pinky toes? Do we actually need those for balance or something? Wonder how much they go for on the body market... lol

    15. She is beautiful!! I really would love this one....she would be an amazing first BJD :) Hmmmmm

    16. Well, and this is true because fairies in the Celtic sense were really diminuntives of the ancient Celtic gods/goddesses, some of whom would've certainly had a fertility aspect to them. Interesting that over time they not only dimished in power (deities to fairies) but actually literally in size as well (Lugh of the Long Hand to leprechaun is a good example of this) 8-)

I'm really thrilled to hear Soom has a layaway option! How civilized! I'm probably not for this girl, but I think I'll be happy to take a look at all the pictures, ahem.

      .hlp

    17. I think spleens are a good "bit" to sell. You could sell one kidney and be fine. You could also sell half the liver too! LOL Me, I'm going to hock my PS3. That should help my cause.

    18. I agree. I'd love an elf/fairy doll. But I'd want a WOMAN type for the fit.

If I wanted cute and waif like I'd go for a child doll. But even still, I would only get the child doll from DIM, because I like the less "kawaii" look to their child dolls.

Besides, with the right attire, her curves will be more subtle and delicate.

Beryl was in a corset, which accentuates curvature.

    19. Good point. Its a damn shame Ebay doesn't allow the sale of body organs on their site. :/ lmao, I wonder what would happen if I listed my soul on ebay... Or rather a Deed to it... Since the auction has to be for a tangible item.

Or maybe I should buy a box of cornflakes and see if I can find one that looks like a state. lmao (there was one sold on ebay before. For quite a bit. Ridiculous)

haha, damn you. Thats the very thing making this so much more difficult. DH wants a PS3 for his Birthday. And that has priority over Honey Dew. lmao

    20. Yeah, when I put her in full outfits instead of just her corset, she looks a lot more normal in proportions. Even just the evening dress I have for her makes her look normal. :)

I am super fuckin tempted by this doll, I am so interested to see the rest of her pictures.
