It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. Soom Monthly Doll September (Virgo) the Third Land: Topaz - Honey Dew

Sep 19, 2008

    1. Gorgeous, but I like photographs that aren't so HOMG! edited. I'm anxious to see owner pictures. Transparent resin though...innovative!

    2. aww I see:) Thank you for pointing that out. I wish I could get her as a Christmas present for myself, but I wont be able to. My current job does not pay that much, and I'm saving for the volks nov party. It will be great though to see everyones topaz's on the forum:)

      Briar

    3. I'm actually not a fan of the clear feet/hands, so they'll be out the door when I get her. We'll see with the ears. I think with the right faceup, she can look pretty badass and more cold rather than sweet.

And now we wait for Soom to ship... Anyone know the average wait time on these guys offhand?

    4. She is very nice! I just don't think she will fit in with my crew.

    5. Considering that I don't think Onyx's have even shipped yet, and they were the June dolls, a while. >.>

    6. I had to.. I couldn't help it.. Had to have her. I have a thing for faeries.. I think I'm with the folks that aren't sure about the feet though. They're an interesting idea.. For me it was the ears=LOVE things.. She may just be using her high heeled feet.. But I got her.. Le sigh. She can sit with Beryl.

    7. Well dang. I haven't spent much time looking at dolls lately because I'm pretty satisfied with my current crew (ok, I'll be honest and say I'm still pining for a lw honey) and been blowing my cash on brand/designer people clothes for once but....... dang... just dang.

I love her face so much more than any soom girl I've ever seen. Those lips are just gorgeous! The transparent resin is, of course, also kickass XD... hmmmmmmmmmm.

I wonder if super gem heads look decent on smaller, less womanly bodies...

    8. Ah ha ha, her faceup is so very soft and gentle but it's still so clear that she has those trademark thick squishy Soom lips X3 love those things.

O-O WOAH. Those feet are seriously cool. If I ever get a Super Gem girl, I'm sooo going to be trolling the marketplace for a pair...but that would be forever from now anyway X) Not sure how I feel about transparent hands, though ._. although I suppose they could look cool if she was skimming her hand over the water, the way she's doing with those transparent feet.

    9. I do love her... But I think I'll stick to trying to get Delphine or waiting to see the Soom December doll...

I put out a feeler for a split... But even still...

    10. Ooh, she is truly amazing. I only wish she were smaller! If she were MSD, I'd get her in a heartbeat and make her my Mustardseed. (You've no idea how thrilled I was at the Midsummer quote- I was the fairy that said that in my school's production of it! XD)

Ah, if only I had enough for her. Regardless of her size, I'd still snatch her, due to my partiality to fairies... Still, what an incredible doll! I look forward to what anyone who's getting her does with her. n_n

    11. Hehe, my little boy (there no way i'm keeping her as a she) won't be standing on his feet at all, little fairy delicate feet would never touch upon the earth, it ruin those flowers and grasses >.>

    12. The hands are a bit silly, but I love the transparent ears and feet. It's really nice to see them raising the bar with each new Zodiac doll.

She's definitely gorgeous. If only she wasn't too tall for the doll scales I have planned. :(

    13. The clear hands and feet make me think of ice. She would make a gorgeous Snow Queen! :drool

Hmmm...but can I get the funds together?

    14. I think she is gorgeous, but I can't afford her now. Also, when they mention *heel parts* showing normal feet, they mean only the feet or the hands too?

Edited: just paid more attention to the description and the only heel parts are the feet :(

    15. I just saw her! she is so so so pretty! ahh! I'm falling in love with all the Soom dolls! I love them all!

LOL asked fiancé if he can buy one for me...I THINK the answer will be a big fat NO!

    16. I'm so in love with her!! everything is just perfect and her feet are sooooo cool. <3 ^___^

    17. Yes... but cost is kind of relative depending on the doll owner and the current variety of prices in the BJD market. A blank 60cm doll can range from about $250-$700, depending on the company selling it... and most of my dolls are hybrids that cost much less than Topaz's price tag. (Three of my favorite dolls were less than $300). The only two dolls I paid over $600 for were ones that I really just HAD to have (Beryl included).

I think $652 (which actually comes out to over $700 with shipping) for a doll I just "like" is not worth it to me. I do think she's pretty, but I just don't think she's the right doll for me. At least, not enough to justify that expense right now... especially with Scorpio coming up. ;) I'm not saying that Topaz isn't worth every penny... just that she's not calling to me the way a $650 doll should. I hope that makes sense. :sweat

I still really want to see some owner pics of this beauty when she starts to ship though!

    18. I love the transparent hands, ears and yes, even feet, to be the BEST features of this doll.

    19. My payment has been confirmed already! very kewl..now to buckle down and wait...:sweat

    20. usually around 3 months for blank dolls...when I bought Beryl, it was the first day of the sale in April and I got her I think later part of June/first part of July..

I bought Topaz blank with eyes and wig, so I figure around November/December.
