Soom Monthly (Zodiac) Doll Speculation thread '08 Part 2

Bix and Io were both guys because the first six dolls were the opposite of the sign gender assignment. They needed two of the same gender in a row to switch the gender back to that of the signs.

 

I'm really really hoping Capricorn will be a girl...since there is no way Heliot can be passed up and that leaves no monies for possible satyr boy

I'm excited now! I think I want both! I was due December 16th, but born December 28th, so I've felt affiliations to both Sagittarius and Capricorn signs.

Wow I was due to be born on Thanksgiving myself, my mother then gave birth to me a month late on Christmas Eve. Though I don't know too much about the zodiac, I feel I'm very much a Capricorn with several lingering Sagittarian traits.

Ps - Oh since Capricorn is earthy, wouldn't it be nice to see a dark brown (tan) hooved boy or girl. I can dream I guess.

 

^^; I'm capricorn as well (12/23) so I can't wait to see what Soom comes up with! I wonder if it can top Heliot and IO for me. xD I seem to go for more male dolls than girls, so though I sort of want it to be a girl...that means I might not fall for her. I don't want all male dolls in the house. I originally wanted it to be even but...arrrghoauksdfdfff (dilema wut? xD) But I wonder if they'll try to stick with a capricorn theme? I can't see them doing a mergoat... I think an earth sprite would be awesome; male or female. ^-^; Taaaan~

 

I'm really hoping for a hooved girl next month, enough so that I'm going to squirrel away the money I was considering on using for Heliot since I'd much rather have a hooved girl than boy. What can I say, I'm practical. Or is it lazy? Either way skirts over hooves would be so much easier than pants. x_x

my visions for capricorn have been a hooved doll with fins on the arms (like vega's) and either fins or horns on the head. doesnt matter much. id die if capricorn had hooves and fins!

I would love to see a mermaid with an interesting resin color. I have no plans on getting her, but I love speculating.

So help me out here all you Capricorns.... What kind of sign is Capricorn? In terms of Element, personality, stuff like that?

 

Capricorn is a feminine sign, a goat-fish supposedly, hmmmmm interesting, no?

 

Capricorn is an earth sign but represented by either a goat or a fish tailed-goat. Why, I have no idea...

Grounded, stubborn, practical and determined describe Capricorns best.

Hmm... I really do hope they can pull off a mermaid tail. Maybe with some sculpted tufts of fur near the top? Sort of like fins, but fuzzy. And some horns like Sard.

With those personality traits, I'm predicting for the face-sculpt something a little on the severe side. Like Beryl and Vesuvia were. I'll be very suprised if it is a very soft/gentle face like Onyx or Topaz.

An earth sign...I would love to see them make a warm colored resin tone for her. Tan would be lovely. Or.....call me creazy for this one, Gold. A sunlight pearl color would be delightful!

 

I love all these ideas! I've sort of been waiting for them to do a tan Super Gem, but so far nothing. I'm all for fantasy skin tones too! I love green, blu, and grey.

I htink if they do a 'fin' it might just be a costume version like Vega the mer-man.

I want more hooves!

 

Oh Good! Hubby is whimpering but I'm glad Soom is doing Capricorn. I'd definately throw my hat in with those than want a tan girl. Hooves might be nice but really don't know about that as Beryl has the same kind of feet Capri would need...too much overlap I think. A mermaid would be nice...but I doubt they'd make it a tan mermaid...

 

I need to start saving for Capricorn! I'd love a super gem girl, a sea-like theme, a face like Saiph's and a special resin colour - Just no white resin!

 

I was talking to my brother (who knows very little about BJDs in general) about all of the Soom Monthly dolls (he couldn't get over Bix's crab arm). I asked him what Sagittarius was and it went kind of like...

"A fish-tailed goat"
"..."
"Yeah."
"Oh. Oh lord."
"Yeeeeeeeah. That'll be an interesting one."

So I'm wondering how that'll go... Will they just make her a hooved girl? Or incorporate the mer-theme? Raaaaaah XD
I'm hoping it's a girl since I'm going to be making payments on Heliot foreeeeever T_T

XD Capricorn, not Sagittarius.

 

Capricorn, aka the seagoat, has ruby as its zodiac stone and garnet as its monthly stone. Since both stones colors can range from pinky-red to reddish-brown, perhaps these colors might be a part of the concept. The earthy tones of muted reds and browns would contrast with Vega's blue/lavendar/turquoise mer costume. Vega's skin is cream white, so the new Capricorn MD could be a warm earthy tan. If s/he is the last of this particular zodiac series, I'm hoping for a doll that will be its crowning glory. Goat hooves and a mer-costume would be over the top! In any case, I want Soom to continue MDs in other fantastic and creative ways!

 

I can't wait to see Capricorn, I hope I fall in love.

I really hope so too, I had the hopeful idea that the MD dolls may be similar to the FFD where they would be for sale again in their specific month, but my dreams were quashed when Soom misunderstood my last question to them and responded:

All the MD dolls are the special limited eddtion, as you know that we release them during the order period.
We will not re-release them in the future.

Plz kindly understand it.

It's a bit confusing what they really mean though - what they intend in the future.
I'd love for them to have the hoofed legs as optional parts in the future.
