Soom Monthly (Zodiac) Doll Speculation thread '08 Part 2

I think Soom has made way too much money off of awesome fantasy dolls with hooves and horns for them to stop now! I don't think we need to fear! (I have this image of all the Soom employees swimming in a pool of money like Scrooge McDuck!)

 

Because Sard and Beryl were so popular, I really think SOOM's going to finish out the Zodiacs by duplicating a pair of hooved dolls; Saggitarius and Capricorn. Capricorn is a goat fish, but I'm hoping they focus on the goat part, because thats the main animal of the sign! Not only would it be a better selling point for them because its so popular, but we the consumers look like we're ready for another girl with hooves.

That, and I really want my sign to be a hooved girl so I feel more justified to get it (the last doll I want to complete my "doll family" would be a hooved SD girl, and for it to be capricorn would be a dream come true!)... I do hope that it isnt tanned though, tanned resin is harder to take care of, and if its hooved or even fish tailed, the joints will wear out the tan so much faster.

 

for me, Soom has gone way beyond my dreams. they blow me off my feet every month by following their own creative thoughts. I'd love a girl with Vesuvia-like resin. greeny or blue-ish with that wonderful sparkle V has. and, would really like one with a sleeping/xtra face.

it's so cool that even if you miss out on a doll you like, there's one coming along soon after that you're bound to fall for.

 

i have this horrible feeling in the pit of my stomach capricorn will be a irresistable girl perfect for heliot... i dont have the money for that....

 

lol that's what splits are for.

my issue is if they make a mermaid jointed tail no matter the gender i'm screwed. so i understand the broke part.

 

I really do hope they stick to the hooves. Because I'd like to get an extra Heliot body for a floaty head, but if I do I'll have to pass on Cap and I'm already prepared to get her or him lol. So if there are no hooves I'll be smacking myself later.

Hopefully they'll have some new tan color, like "cocoa real resin". X3

Cocoa real resin sounds fun! AHAha. and actually kinda interesting... I originally said I wouldnt want a tanned doll, but if its resin color is that color, it wont be so bad.

I think they'll make her light though, to match Heliot. Heliot and Capricorn will probably be the "lighter" sides of Beryl and Sard, it looks like. I think she'll have a sweet face!

 

do you think soom purposefully intends to torture our wallets? if the MD keep looking so stunning im going to have to live in a cardboard box in order to afford them all!

im looking forward to capricorn, if they go with the goat or the fish theme im sure it'll be fantastic! i'd like to see them do a hybrid of the two though since they've already done the hooved doll and the fish doll.. i wonder though if this is going to be the final in the zodiac series (perhaps like "this is the doll all the others have been leading up to), i wonder if they'll have 2 different resin colors on the doll. like if the do the fish part have the fish tail/part one color (like vesuvia's skin but a different color) and the human part in the white/normal skin? that would be interesting

 

I am so much hoping for a fully jointed tail... Mermaid or merman, I don't care! But I think it might be a girl...

Yes, I do believe they color it, too...

 

I would like it if they just reproduced Vega's fins (ears & arms & hands) and Sard's horns. For the bottom they could make a fishtail dress, or furry hooved feet, or both, mix and match, it'd all be cool! I personally love Vega's fishtail dress; it's much more beautiful & fits more smoothly than any jointed tail could ever be, and it comes off easily when he feels like changing into human legs. (Changing the hands & arms is quite enough hassle, thankyaverymuch.)

I had been holding out hope for a big luscious fiery Tan man for Sagittarius, but they swung in totally the other direction, there. I mean, I got whiplash from this one. I knew not to try to predict too closely, but still, I had "virile" in mind, so I didn't see Heliot coming-- snowy fluffy pretty little white pony, I could dissolve you on my tongue like cotton candy. So now I can't guess whether Capricorn will be a boy or a girl, could go either way. Or whether it'd be white, green, or tan resin. I have given up trying to secondguess Soom.

But for Capricorn: as usual, I'll vote for Tan Male. Got no room in the house for another one, but I sure love to look at them.

 

personally, i can't see Capricorn being portrayed as any kind of mermaid/merman, the emphasis has always been on the "goat" aspect of the sign. i "do" suspect that "she" will be female, as Capricorn is a feminine sign, i would be perfectly happy with a goat footed horned "pan" faun creature of some sort. i don't know that i would want mermaid fish ears or tail on a goat girl, but Soom will have sorted all this out. i am Capricorn so i am counting on this doll to be a winner.

 

Yeah, i agree Miss Ally -- its the goat thats important, haha! We're STUBBORN FOLK. A pan faun creature would be great. I personally dont really want any fish on the doll.

And since theres 6 boys and 5 girls, its GOTTA be a girl. Its the only possibility...

 

well, i guess we will be put out of our miseries in a few weeks now, but then........ the new series will start, and what on earth ( or not ) will "that" be?

 

The goat has to be the main part, being a Capricorn I totally agree, lol! And with possible goat like horns. I'm kind of hoping Soom doesn't mesh the two together like hooves with a fish tail sticking out its butt or something. >_>;

No no no.... a tanned hooved girl would be the death of me (or more precisely, my bank account). I would HAVE to get her as a sister to my Beryl. I've been able to resist all the Monthlies except Beryl... the hooves! Hoofy girls are too much for me. And tan! *swoon*

I think I could say no to a mermaid though... I know she would be beautiful, but here in Kansas the opportunities for ocean-themed photoshoots are pretty few and far between. She'd have to hang out in the bathtub like Darryl Hannah in Splash. (Wow, now I feel old. >_<)

 

I really hope it'll be a white skinned goatlike girl that would look lovely together with Heliot.
