Soom Monthly (Zodiac) Doll Speculation thread '08 Part 2

I LOVE that movie! I really hope it is a mermaid girl now as I absolutely love the idea of them. I think there have been enough hooved dolls and it's time for something different

 

LOL, yeah... I think it would be nice to have something different. That's what blew us away in the first place, the creativity and uniqueness of each doll. Plus it would be a nice "full circle" to connect with Vega Last Song. (Though I know technically Deneb was probably the first zodiac doll, Vega was the first with the extra add-on bits and a very unique theme).

 

I'm just hoping it's another hooved girl, to be honest. Since I regret not getting Beryl...

 

Personally I'm tired of all the MD with only white skin as the resin option. Please anything but white for Capricorn!(or give us options!!!) I'd love a hoofed girl with horns with a Capricorn dress theme. I know I already said this, but tan would be lush, I highly doubt it though

 

I'm with you guys. I'd go insane if they released a tan hooved girl. I really would have to figure out who to sell so I could afford her.
Honestly though, it would be nice if they released a mermaid just because they've already done a bunch of hooved dolls, and only one mermaid. A boy at that. Nice as he is, I think a lot of people would like to see a female mermaid.
Plus, I see what is happening with Heliot--a lot of people seem to be buying him to make up for missing out on Sard, but will he be the same? My concern is that I'd want a hooved capricorn female to make up for missing out on Beryl, but I'd still eventually want a Beryl and I might not feel the same about capricorn. I hope that made sense. ^^; So yeah, mermaid please.

 

I'm like a kid in a candy store. I don't care what it is because I think Soom does such an amazing job on all the dolls that I get excited just to look at it! Can't wait to see what comes along.

 

the trouble with this is it's like the "fruit of the month" club, and these are REALLY expensive fruits.

 

Im glad I missed out on Beryl now, because how much the odds are saying Capricorn's gonna be a hooved girl.. and its my sign. so its perfect.

I really dont think they'll be doing a fin... its an earth sign, and its probably going to match with Heliot. Maybe watery clothes though?

aruhg the anticipation now is killing me! I probably shouldn't be reading this thread. its making the wait worse, and I dont want time to fly by yet.

 

you know what, i have a scary thought...... no hooves, no hooves of any kind. they have done 3 hooved dolls and 1 hawk foot doll, what if....if...if they are over it?

 

Nooo they cant. they cant! the last hooved ones came in a pair! this one MUST come in a pair!

Besides, how can you capture a goat without its hooves? I can't imagine a goat head. Also, its such a good selling point for them; im sure the money they're making is enormous from the hooved foot popularity.

 

I was wondering if they would make Capricorn girl in gray skin, but more blue-ish (something like Vesuvia's Violet skin style). o.o I'd also love to see another hooved girl.

I'm anxious to see her too. xD
I hope she doesn't get me as Heliot, Sard and Euclase did. I'm so broke.

 

This. Soom will be making tens of thousands of dollars alone from the hooved dolls, and wouldn't surprise me if we were talking 6 figures.

Heliot's face really got me, but I didn't have to worry about wanting to buy him; my sister ended up purchasing him (its her sign), so I'll just look at hers. AHAHA
Euclase's legs really got me hard, but I didn't care for his face.

Lynsey --- yeah. thats why im thinking they can't NOT do a hooved girl, everyone is expecting it. Look how much heliot is selling; he's sold out at least 4 times already; the first time on the first day.

I'm mostly just hoping she's a she. SOOM did break the boy-girl pattern from Cancer to Leo, after all. There's no saying for certain Capricorn will be a girl.

 

Actually they'll need to keep it I think. Capricorn/Aquarious will be girl/girl to balance the Cancer/Leo's Boy/Boy. It's balanced that way

Anyway, I still think Soom should go with a Chinese Zodiac theme next year, if they don't continue the Astrological Zodiac after Capricorn. They'd be doing it by month and not by year, but..... Geez. Can you imagine a Soom dragon themed doll? Dragon feet, anyone?

 

There are two theories that I like. Of course they disagree, LOL!

1) Soom did the first 'half' of their year opposite to the gender of each Zodiac sign, then switched over for the second half of their year. It will totally be a girl for Capricorn.

2) Soom has released a boy for each 'month' ending in 31 days, and a girl for each shorter month. It will totally be a boy in for the month of January, 31 days long.

Only one theory can be correct, and we'll have to wait a few weeks to see what that is.

Well, considering that there's over 80 Heliots purchased by DoA members alone, at a base price of $790 apeice (i.e. we'll not include all the option parts in this math), Soom is walking away with over $63,200 USD already, and the order period is only half over. Sard sold about 130 sets on DoA alone, at $718 without extras, for a total of $93,340. So, add in all the other dolls, who sold at least 25 each on the board, add in all the option parts (which came out to $200 each doll or so), and add all the non-DoAers who bought MDs (hard to believe they exist but they do XD), and you're looking at, well.... INSANE money. Probably up into the $350,000 USD range, maybe more. And that isn't even counting all the regular run Soom dolls, clothes and accessories they have sold this year. Makes your head spin, hey??????

PS, to be on topic and everything.... I don't even know what to expect. Like many of you, I'd love to see an unconventional resin colour. I am not champing at the bit for Capricorn like I had been for Sagittarius, and doubt I will have the funds or desire to get this one after the Heliot bum-rape. But I can never tell with Soom. I almost caved in to Euclase, which I did not expect. I will probably still get him in the aftermarket someday. So who knows? If another pair of unique legs shows up, I'm probably Soomed again.

And OMG DRAGON MD. Seriously? I would die. And sell my hair. And maybe a kidney. I have a Dragon character to whom no currently available face will stick. Please Soom, make Chinese Zodiac MDs and give me my, dark-skinned, angry, scowly beefcake of a Dragon-boy!!!! Only you can do it right!!!! :eusapray:
