Dollshe and the sculptor may not advertise his products on this forum. Sales may not be discussed, no news threads may be posted regarding new releases. This ban does not impact any dolls by Dollshe ordered by November 8, 2023. Any dolls ordered after November 8, 2023, regardless of the date the sculpt was released, are banned from this forum as are any dolls released under his new or future companies including but not limited to Club Coco BJD.       I think I'm succesfully escaping Capricorn unless for some bizarre reason they decide to do a girl with Euclase's legs. Then I will be doomed. Completely doomed.

      Y'know if they hadn't already done female counterparts for some of the MD, I would think they would do the same theme with opposite genders for next year. Hmmm.

    7. If they do this, I'll be hellbent for the Tiger, Dragon, Snake, Horse and Dog. Maybe even teh Bunniez too. teehee.

      But what if they do something non-zodiac? Did we have any other super-cool possibilities in mind? We talked about twisted fairytales, if I remember (which would be nigh unto impossible for me to resist).... but what else do you think they'd go for?

    8. I think it'd be pretty cool to see Soom do different cultures from month to month. Traditional Japanese to India to Victorian England to Native American to Africa (Soom Tan Dolls, anyone?) to Inuit to ancient Mayan to 1920's America to ancient Egypt to Mexico to ancient Greece to traditional Spain to China and on and on and on...

      The possibilities are endless! And, if you go into the mythology of different cultures, you could manage to find different animals to give us exciting new feet. Like, for Native American, you could take on a theme with Coyote, the Trickster.

      It's a bit far fetched, but still a cool idea.

    10. Not really future speculation, but there's pictures of the Zodiac Display at the Soom Store in Japan here. It for sure answers that Deneb was Aquarius, and you can see some of the not yet shipped monthlies without photoshop.

      I'm pretty torn... I want them to keep doing crazy fantasy sculpts, but I don't want to live in terror of what amazing thing they will make next. It would be great if they did quarterly releases instead of monthly... Maybe paced more like the Noctarcana Circus. But they're making money hand over fist right now, so I don't see it slowing down...

    11. Oh yes! *swoons* I would absolutely adore a Native American BJD. Even just a dancer in traditional garb would be amazing to me! All the other "Native American" dolls I've seen are more like the "special edition" Barbies or childlike dolls such as the American Girl Kaya. I've toyed with getting a doll and making a Native American doll, but haven't found a sculpt in the right resin that looks the right shape too. My great-grandfather was Muscogee/Creek and I was exposed to the culture through him and by growing up very close to my grandmother. I guess it would be too much to hope for... But I can dream! :sweat


      Thank you for posting this! It's nice to be able to see them all unphotoshopped in the same lighting right in a row. ^_^ It almost makes them even more amazing. And now after seeing un-edited pics of her face sculpt I'm REALLY kicking myself for not being able to order Vesuvia. :|

    13. Okay, I know I've been posting a lot in this thread recently, but I just have to say it. After reading NecrochildK's werewolf idea (which I LOVE), my train of thought took a shortcut and a different direction and wound up somewhere new.

      Wouldn't a Jekyll and Hyde doll pair be amazing? Or am I crazy?

    14. Thanks for posting this. What an awesome display. There isn't a single Soom Zodiac doll that I HAVEN'T liked! Now that I own one, I can also attest to the excellent quality (IMO) and weight of the resin. Pair that up with a reasonable layaway plan, and a unique doll line-up and Soom is close to be being my fav doll manufacturer EVER.
