That's a good point, surreality. I do think the "fullset only" issue is a factor along with the size. If the only Beryl option was to purchase the $1145 fullset I probably wouldn't have been able to get her. But the option to buy a blank doll to customize on my own (which I would have wanted to do anyway) is a great choice. I like the ability to pick and choose which pieces I really want.

 

I would so love to see a pirate-themed doll, white shirt with gorgeous ruffled sleeves and a velvet tail coat. I also second all the votes for mythology-based dolls, especially the old Greek gods.

 

I agree! I would love to see some Greek mythological dolls... ESPECIALLY Aphrodite and Athena... and Persephone!

going back to capricorn real quick...

what do you think the price will be for her? I hope its cheaper than heliot's hefty 790 tag. I mean, Beryl and Sard were only 718... maybe it was heliot's horn and tallness and stuff that made him more expensive?

 

There's not as much difference as that. Sard was $718, not $618. Heliot comes not only with extra legs, as Sard did, but an extra head, bow with arrow, and extra hands. That's bunches of stuff Sard did not get for only $72.

My money says that Capricorn is a female compliment to Heliot. Two heads, extra hoof feet, maybe a trident instead of a bow, to go with the fish aspect of Capricorn? And a female body, all in the same price range as Heliot.

Oh, heavens. What if it's a "dark" compliment to Heliot's "light" theme? If Heliot's God Master, maybe Capricorn is Demon Master.

Oh no. If they do that, I might get Soomed. Again.

 

Oh God that would make me so happy... and broke. I'm hoping Capricorn is a goat girl, and the character I'd want her to be is based physically off (yes I realize how stupid this sounds) my gerbil that died on New Year's Eve. My gerb was all black so any "dark" theme at all would just be awesome. I just hope if it is a goat girl she's not too pissed off looking. They've got one pissed off looking girl with hooves already!

*praying for a goat girl with a tan and a pretty face* That's not too much to hope for right?

In all seriousness, I just hope she's ugly. And normal or white skin.
I am beginning to dread the coming week because of Soom. It's sad how much they own me.

 

Awww... I don't think my Beryl looks angry at all. Pouty, yes... but not angry. I think it's just the default eyebrows that make her look mad... I think the sculpt is really more versatile.

All I gotta say is... Capricorn better not be tan or I'm Soomed. I've had this whole tan obsession lately and if it's a Super Gem... *dies*

 

Beryl is the one Soom monthly I really regret not getting so I'd love to she Soom use her face mold again. Soom seems to be enjoying playing with different colored resins so I could see a blue or aqua girl or clear resin parts of some sort with a bluish tint.

 

ooooh, yes. blue-ish (maybe with a tiny touch of green) pearl resin. slightly sweet Vesuvia/Beryl face. normal parts and I don't care what extras. I just want a Soom Super girl of unusual resin. and maybe special hands like a dancer's.

after seeing Vesuvia, tan isn't enough for me. I have tons of white. got grey covered. want opalescent. Soom has changed all our expectations of what our dream doll could be.

it's only the 16th, but let the vigil begin!

If we're all going to talk about we'd love to see, I would be absolutely Soomed if they released a doll with three eyes. Heh, that probably sounds like a weird idea...my friends can tell you I'm utterly fascinated by them o_0_o I love when they're portrayed in fiction, I love the religious and cultural backgrounds, the symbolism, and the fact that they look freaking cool ._._. the presence of three-eyed people automatically increases my liking for a work of fiction (but it'll go right back down if it's terrible XD I have lotsa standards!) So far as I'm aware there are only two three-eyed BJD molds in existence, which makes me sad ;_;_;

It doesn't sound stupid at all! Gerbils are sweet loving pets I had some black gerbils... it's so cool that you want to do that... and Soom is really good with dolls with a "dark" theme, I loved the outfit they made for Dark Onyx and the black+gold/silver clothes on some of their older monthlies. Another darksome girl would be great.

 

i hope that they vary in size, id really like to see soom do a mature mini and some more tiny sculpts plus then it wouldnt hit the wallet so hard..

 

I'm thinking another hooved girl, with the extra long legs option. I hope they don't go 'dark' with the girl this time, as we just had Vesuvia which was rather dark, and Beryl, and one of the two Onxys. I would like to see a fish girl.
