Dollshe and the sculptor may not advertise his products on this forum. Sales may not be discussed, no news threads may be posted regarding new releases. This ban does not impact any dolls by Dollshe ordered by November 8, 2023. Any dolls ordered after November 8, 2023, regardless of the date the sculpt was released, are banned from this forum as are any dolls released under his new or future companies including but not limited to Club Coco BJD. This ban does not apply to other company dolls cast by Dollshe as part of a casting agreement between him and the actual sculpt or company and those dolls may still be discussed on the forum. I'm not angry, just getting bored with the wait, but the reality is that there are cool dolls being announced or put on the marketplace every day and any company that drags out the announcement process too long runs a business risk that people will get tired of waiting and buy something else with their limited funds. Instant gratification is a fact of life in this market.

    3. Sadinasaphire>I'm totally agree : we have to wait and our patience will be rewarded by a gorgeous, full of creation and imagination new MD !

      I don't know if "I'll need her" (still thinking Capricorn will be a "her" :sweat), but I love this wait because it's full of possibilities !
      We all can imagine what would be our "perfect" soom MD, and we can still dream about it ! After the revelation, some will be disapointed, some really happy, but meanwhile, we can all be happy about the new MD !

      And I'm sure, Soom will be even more creative ! They already have surprised us with new ideas, new technics (thinking about animal legs, of course, and cristal colored resins, and so on...), so we have to believe in them, in the power of their imagination... and after... push the Buy Now button ! LOL

    4. Everyone is acting like soom said they would put the pictures up on the 20th and didn't. BJD companies don't rush. They don't have to. This doll will sell out no matter when they put him up.

    5. haha thats kind of ironic, seeing as most things in this market take weeks to months to get to us after purchase...

      i think this hobby takes alot of patience. and i think soom's specifically being targeted just because people are getting antsy, since this is the last MD and all.

    6. Exactly. I would say instant gratification is not a fact in this market. It takes weeks or months to get a doll out if you order from the manufacturer. Yes, Soom takes longer than most. Yes, four to five months is pushing the limit of patience.

      ...Will we still buy from them?

      I believe this thread is all the proof I need.

SadinaSaphrite, to answer one of your questions I'm a Capricorn and I'm really hoping Capricorn is amazingly beautiful and I'll fall hard because having a doll for your sign is just really cool. Its like an added bonus. But if that doll doesn't hit me hard like Euclase and Heliot did, I won't be buying. But still for some of us, it is a dream to get a doll in the same sign as you were born in. Yeah it might be silly but a lot of things in this hobby people call silly, but it still is special to some of us. ;)

      Everyone is pretty much is calling the next doll a she, I'd be a bit amused it was a boy. Though maybe that's wishful thinking on my part...still doomed either way.

    8. Why won't Soom post the pictures?!?!? Ugh, if they are going to give a date for when they plan on releasing something they should keep to it. :sigh Maybe they will post them tonight, because it is still the 29th and the Soom store opens in about half an hour.

    11. I'm getting antsy too, but seriously guys, we're talking about collectables, not life support. If they need a couple extra days, so be it. It is 99% likely that I will NOT be throwing down for this doll... but I am just sooooo excited to see the cherry on the top of this year of incredible doll-art!!! :fangirl: Then again, maybe it won't be super-duper-uber-spectacular... but still beautiful. I just want Soom to go out on the MDs with an enormous bang. XD

      Alls I know is they better not make a naga with a fully jointed tail, like I posted earlier. Thats MY idea dammit, and Soom has already 'stolen' three of my doll sculpt ideas this year. *L*

    14. Yeah, that is funny :lol: especially since by the time it arrives sometimes people have developed an interest in other dolls and things. Probably contributes to why we always see these "my doll just arrived last month but I have not bonded with him" sales.

    15. Me posting here doesn't mean I'll buy from them. I'm really just curious to see the doll is all. There's a 90 percent chance I won't buy it since I only bought one out of the last 11 monthlies and it wasn't one of the ones I waited for pictures of, even.

      And by "Instant gratification" I don't mean we GET our stuff right away, we just COMMIT to BUY it right away, even if we have to put it on the 5 month layaway plan and then wait on top of that for delivery.

      Not every doll is an impulse buy but a lot of them are, particularly for the most frequent buyers who cycle through a lot of dolls.

    16. okay now THATS true. ive seen a ton of impulse buys, and i have to admit ive done it myself (not with actual dolls, but with doll clothing). I dont have the money to do it with dolls and I tend to rationalize those pretty well. I always thought it was a shame some people cycled through dolls so fast, but at the same time, i guess its good for the market because it gives people a chance to get it secondhand/faster.

      but i think that impulse is created by alot of the now-or-never deals that companies put out (holiday sales, limiteds, etc), so its like a mutual flaw.

But it's true. :sweat I'm such an odd duck, when I'm waiting for something for myself I often find the anticipation far exceeds the event itself, which has served me well. :)
