Soom Monthly (Zodiac) Doll Speculation thread '08 Part 2

Thank you, I didn't read too far back in the thread after I got home today :-) Thank you for reposting that :-) I guess I'll go play with my other dolls for a bit

I'm sorry, I'm one of those impatient people who like to anticipate everything and plan for stuff. So will it most likely be Monday before they release pictures of the new doll? Or do you think there is a chance they may still release the pictures tonight?

 

lol who knows. all i know is even if i think it will be monday.. ill keep checking anyways..

wow, im a little behind, but the idea of body part grab bags is brilliant!!!!! im so excited for one (if they decide to sell them) they could even just toss em in with my heliot

 

goody grab bags... maybe they should toss the damaged idea and just make a few grab bags filled with good parts! it would be a chance i couldnt pass on. i have been dying to get my hands on topaz ears and hands, sard hooves, vega ears and fins.. wow.just wow

 

YukiOokami, imagine Soom coming to read the forum here to see what the fans are saying. And instead of being TOTALLY INTO the next 'AWESOME DOLL' they find that all we can talk about is buckets of KFC and who wants fins and who wants wings and who wants HOOVES and BIRD CLAWS. We already know that the hooves and claws will be the BEST parts.

But imagine them discovering that all the junk that they sent to the landfill is the stuff that we REALLY want. "You threw the broken SCORPION TAIL out ????? " "What? the Euclase ears were cracked in half???? Who cares? just add some CLAY !!!"

Yes. I really, really hope that they do it. I'd reserve it for 'customers only', but that's me.

 

Cat ^..^, I totally agree. A customers only thing would be perfect. Considering I'm a customer, I like the idea a whole lot more. XDD

And yes, hooves and claws would be the best part of it. I'd lean more towards the hooves though. As would a lot of people, I'm sure. They're so popular. lol.

 

YukiO, can't you see the SCREAMING: "I got a HOOF !!! I got a HOOF !!!" And there would be more excitement than over the WHOLE DOLL which one paid a grand for. And the hoof would be crappy. And then you'd have to say, provided you had someone to say it to: "Darling, can you make me a PEG LEG ??? " And he'd say: "Why?" And you'd say, "Because I only have ONE hoof. And there are NONE for sale in the marketplace, because no one will give one up."

And then you'd say: "hmmmm. and maybe could you get me some BANDAGES ??" And he'd say: "Why? What NOW ??" And you'd say: "Because the one hoof is missing the whole back half. I just don't know what to do. One leg... greviously injured.... "

 

I really don't think there's any reason to be mad at SOom. After all, they didn't guarantee to us when they would release these dolls, they've just had a pattern set up of when they were dong it. And really, does it take the doll's value down any that it's released in februrary and not? personally, it's always been amazing to me that they can create new sculpted pieces so regularly every month, with new limited outfits and everything on top of that. I'm in the process of making my own dolls, and let me tell you, it's not that fast of a process. so I guess that's partly why I'm forgiving of them getting them out later and later from time to time, because I know what goes into it.

besides, they aren't really obligated to get them out to us on a certain time, as we haven't paid them for the pictures to begin with. the sale of the dolls will come no matter when the images come out, so if they need extra time, that's fine by me.

But I digress, and appologize for the ramble.

LMAO, seriously bob is one of the worst! If it's not the porn star ladies giggling and ing on tv about how amazing the product was, and all the "random" men totally "not" acting about how much "bigger" things got, it's creepy bob, who reminds me of French Stewart - one of my favorite actors - and thus rapes my childhood in the worst possible way...

LMFAO, hey, I'd be up to anything to take my mind off of bob and the pr0n star giggles the late night tv always has. and ewwwwww, bk king doll, that makes me want to cry...oAo...he haunts MY nightmares, that's for sure...!

and rofl, for the record, grab bag body parts would be totally neat to me. >XD I'd love the hooves and claws, and some of those ears, like Vega's. :3 I knew I had something in mind for the bird legs in particular, but I can't remember what they were now. o_O;;; but yeah, it'd be so awesome to have some of those hooved legs, since I've been wanting to make a hoof-legged boy for a while. I'm going to sculpt my own regardless, but I know Soom's is going to be far better then mine ever will, anyway.

And omg, Euclase's ears! !!!

 

Cat ^..^ - XDD That's too great. I'd be happy to get a hoof! Though whoever I gave it to would be a handicapped... horse, bull, ram, deer... thing. Then I'd order another KFC bucket in hopes of getting another hoof to complete the set! XD

-sighs- In other news, I wish Soom would RELEASE THE TEASER ALREADY. Ah well... I guess I'll wait til Monday then.. T__T At least I'll have something to keep my mind off of it. XD

 

i want soom to do paws! there are so many vampired and werewolves out there, but i think soom is the only one brave enough for paws!!! hurry soom, before i have to make my own!

 

Paws? I'd be really interested in seeing their take on paws if they were super big like the hooves... Oh yeah, big giant loping paws of awesomeness

Customers only would be fine by me, like a little special gift to their dear customers :3 I figure I'm bound to be one eventually... and for those who don't feel the same, maybe access to a KFC bucket will be an added incentive to be Soomed by a future dollie

Say Capricorn's doll is a MERMAID with this fully sculpted jointed resin tail . Imagine the KFC buckets that would come out with FILET O' FISH SLICES in them.

 

i agree with the 'customers only' thing too. lt would just be amazing to have the random goodie bags show up with the last mds!

Hell, Soom is one of the companies I think would be ballsy enough to do a full-blown Vampire doll, with resin batwings that fold and extend and everything! I'd LOOOOVE to see that, now! THAT would be awesome! hehehehe I'm trying to think of my own ways to do that, to match the life-size batwing harness I made myself for cosplay and costume. Only, you know, the dolls' wings won't be made out of steel rod and sheet with fabric coverings. >_>;;;

And I dunno about the "customers-only" part, as...wouldn't only customers be the ones to get them anyway? Because you'd have to be buying the grab-bags to be getting the parts, so you'd be a customer? Does that make sense?

 

ArouraAnn & evilhamster13 - Paws would be cool too! I'd LOVE a wolf! >__< I have a huge obsession with wolves. But I really wanna make my ram girl! Lol. I'm glad I got a laugh out of ya with the horse, bull, ram, deer... thing, evilhamster. XDDD
