I myself have quite a few Sooms. I’ve always loved the company’s art and have fallen in love with their tinies/pets. I have an Ondiin named Bubblegum and just acquired a Varo who doesn’t have a name yet. XD I’m still debating whether the size fits into my collection but they are super cute! I will have to post photos later, I didn’t realise I didn’t have any of them. XD

Does anyone know if Soom would release more petit gems this year? Or is it a surprise every month?

 

They seem to traditionally do at least a release or two every year, but you never know what it'll be, or when! I keep an eye on their socials and the calendar on the website (here: Doll of the Month - The Gem).

Does anyone know if Soom has a certain order they go in when it comes to releases/re-releases? I would love an Ondiin someday so I’d like to know what the wait time would be looking like for them to open up orders for them again. Or is it just random?

 

Its not really consistent how they release dolls, unfortunately. It feels really random.

 

Ah, that’s a shame, but I guess it gives me time to save up indefinitely!

 

Soom does pat attention to requests. You should ask on Soom's Q&A board. You will get a vague response but they will count your request.

It feels for me as very random. But I am checking every month if they have a release.

 

Just purchased a pink Ondiin, in virtually new condition and I’m over the moon!! She’s one of my grails and I feel so lucky to have found a kind soul willing to sell her!

I’d love to buy some eyes for her in the meantime; does Ondiin accommodate 12mm eyes very well? Or should I play it safe with 10mm eyes?

I do hope to get her a faceup eventually, but I surprisingly also love the blank doll look for these petite gems. (:

 

I prefer 10mm often but 12mm can fit as well. I always do them bit crossed eyed so that you can still see the white of the eyeball

 

Photo of my Pa-an. She is super cute. Her face is very sweet and her tail is adorable. Have had some issues with getting the magnets to stay in place but I think that’s mostly user error and bad glue.

Might have to restring her, she seems a little loose.

Hoping for a Rudy rerelease later this year so she can have a friend.
