Did anyone find they had to restring their Petit Gem because the elastic in my girl feels pretty loose which makes it hard for her to stand even on the magnet plate. Not restringing, but a tiny bit of sueding The Leepy I once had really liked to fall forwards... And I saw the announcement for the two dolls - I hope they sell them blank too, and not just as fullsets.
Thanks for the tip. Hopefully my Pa-an will hold her poses better afterwards. Is the process for sueding these little guys any different to other bigger dolls? I’d be concerned about the sueding being too thick.
I'm using a tiny drop of hot glue and spread it thin, so its not really noticeable, no. Anyone getting the new Movi or Lumi? I think I'll pass, I already have... 6 Petitgems.
Thank you that’s reassuring to know. I’m probably going to pass on Movy and Lumi. I’d love to get my Pa-an a friend but Lumi isn’t to my tastes and I’m not sure about Movy. She’s cute but I’d like to wait and see what other options Soom releases in the future.
Bit of a late reaction but I got them. Sadly I had to ship them back for repairs. Their face plates had weird discoloration that I could not get off. And since they had it all in the same spot I think it was the mold. So I hope to receive them back soon.They are really cute but they don't have magnets in the feet anymore. I am also awaiting Lumi and Holin. Has anyone else ordered them? And does anyone have the same problem I encountered with Movi and Lumi?
I’m also waiting on a Holin! I bought him at the end of December so hopefully he ships in the next month and a half!
Where was the discoloration? The newer petitgems have an NFC chip inside their head, maybe that was it? I'd love to get a new petitgem, but I'm not a fan of the dessert/candy theme at all... I'm still hoping/waiting/wishing for a cute dragon or lizard.
I ordered a pink Holin, I so regretted not getting the little tiger when it came out. Some day I hope to find one on the second hand market.
Here are some of the pictures of the dolls. It has this darker marking that has also a different texture. Hard to make a picture of but it is visible. So Pen- Pen: Also, awww that Holin is so cute! Hope you will have lots of fun with her! I will peek in for pictures x3 Meas: That would be cool. I don't know if they will do a Western dragon since they have Ondiin. But I would be interested in a lizard petit. I really want more rats too though
That actually looks like sealant coming off to me. That third photo looks exactly like what happened with my fairyland Miwa when I chipped her sealant off when I was doing her face up. I wonder if they seal it even though there’s no face up? Like a preemptive thing?
I would agree with you but, I sent Soom the pictures and they gave no mention of that their products are sealed. instead they just wanted me to ship them back so that they could solve the issue. The weird part is that the Movi dolls both had it on an identical spots on the cheeks so I suspect it had something to do with the mold. But I am not certain.
Soom doesn't seal dolls that are not painted - I've dyed several of them right out of the box, if there were sealant the dye would have been very uneven. I can't even see anything in the pictures, but it's possible that it's something from the casting process...
I made some new pictures of one of my dolls in midsommar. I will be sharing more pictures on other platforms. Because I don't want to hog all the space here. XD But I really love how this one came out and wanted to share it with you guys.
