Soom Super Gem Discussion (Basic, Limited & Special Order) - Part 13

Calling all hooved foot doll owners (especially Chalco)! I need some help trying to clothe my Chalco ('dem thighs ). It is so hard to find pants loose enough to accommodate his legs, does anyone have anywhere they could point me to look for some? Thank you!

 

I have a Euclase and his bird feet are massive. No word of a lie, they're as big as my hand and the talons are dangerously stabby. Rhyia wears skirts but a pair of wrap pants would solve the problem of getting pants on him without needing to remove his feet to get them on.

 

LiselT, I am sorry that there is only one picture here, but you can see Versailles my Sard. He is wearing what we call "hoofy pants". They are open down the sides and they tie closed.

Oh, I love those! I was trying to find something similar or like harem pants (shorts?) but I have not had any luck.

 

LiselT, make your own. They are easy enough to make. I hand sew them.

LiselT, You can do this! You thread a needle. You tie a knot at the end of the thread. You *poke* in and out and in and out. You would have the pants done in no time. Pants like that are easy peasy to do. The "pattern" is basically a rectangle for the front and a rectangle for the back. Same size.

I stitched lace and ribbons on them, but you could use anything. They go on like a long legged diaper.

 

My hooved boy (Benmore) just wears his fullset outfit, which is basically a pair of long skirts and a harness-type top. No pants required! I usually wait for Soom to release outfits for their hooved full sets. I got another one also meant for hooved legs, although my dragon boy tends to wear it and he has normal legs. One thing I love about Soom is they will sell their limited outfits separately from the dolls (unlike Fairyland…). It’s just a matter of having funds to afford them.

The harem-style pants are a good idea. I had a pattern for those and actually hand-sewed a pair for my Faery Legend boy. It wasn’t too difficult, although it was a tiny pair. I wonder how I’d do with something four times that size.

 

Not the best picture (dark pic is dark) but the lighting in my apartment sucks. However, this is Rhyia in the outfit I made him. The top layer of his skirt is from a pair of pj's that no longer fit me and the lace is some antique stuff a friend gave me. He does have his original default outfit from his release (The Last Judgement) but Akash (MD Snake Demon head on Angell Studio Qingyi body) is wearing the skirt until I get off my lazy butt and make him an outfit (it's on my long to-do list).

@LiselT : I bought some very stretchy harem type capri length pants off Alice Collections for my Chalco. It seems the exact type/style that I bought is no longer being sold but I see some similar sized bottoms that might work. I will say... I found it easier/safer (especially if he has airbrushing on his legs) to just put them on him will his hooves are disassembled.

Sorry...this is the only picture I have of him in full outfit... so you can see how they fit. I found the black shorts on my Heliot on Dollmore as well. I like that style as well, and they are still in stock last I checked:

 

@Dybbuk Oh! I saw this picture in my searches but I did not know whose it was! I was wondering where those pants came from! Thank you so much I will have to see what they have and if any suit my boy.

 

Has anyone seen the Ad up for Sard? He doesn’t exist on the Soom site, or on their Instagram yet, but there’s a banner ad with a horned Sard that’s caught my eye—I’m guessing an April release?

I might be getting soomed on this one, because if he has his hooves, he’d work for a character I’m trying to shell…

Chameleon, he has his horns so he is going to have his hooves! And the hooves are fabulous.
