SOOM's Monthly doll for August (Leo): IO Wind Walker DISCUSSION

Yea i'm choosing that option since i'll be doing a spilt. AAAh but yea i'm still kicking myself for not being able to get the Soom Sard especially when i could have gotten him on layaway...did not know that and he was my sign or month too. But for this one wowowowowowow. I love his head and that lion mask is just kkkkiiiillller. No way i'm gonna pass another of Soom's Monthly dolls! I'm wondering I should get that wig or another one for him...that wig iiis limited too...

oh no!!! Now i've been brought back into the conflicting problems of getting him in NS or Creamy white!!!! From owner pics i've noticed how white white Soom can be...he looks so much more pinkier here...

 

Im little brother saw the pics and chimed in...

"Hey you have both Simba and Scar from the lion king! You can have them fight."

So yeah...is anyone splitting the scar face head? Would it fit on a Normal Gem body...the 60cm one...
(If anyone is holding a split and the scarface head has not been taken PM me)

 

Hmmm. I'm waffling on the body painting. The blushing is not a big deal for me. I'm more interested in the mask being painted. I'm just wondering if I really want to shell out the $110 for it. *ponder*

 

haha i had the same idea as your little brother. I'm totally making mine a human version of that bad boy kitty cat Scar . Now if only he had come with cat paws or legs or something. But i guess i can have fun experimenting and trying to make my own perhaps.

oh crud, i was persuading myself that i shouldn't get him because other factors aside, the red stripe did nothing for me.

and then this. NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!

the only thing that comes to mind is a red sunscreen-stick or face-paint for sporting events. XDDDD though a suit would be the last thing anyone would wear to one. XDDD

 

Yes YES!!! I have asked to Kelly about the chance to have him without tribal painting in my order and she replied he will come with no tribal signs!!! WOAH!!! I am so happy ^__^ Cheer for Soom!!!!

 

any word yet on the spear? i saw someone ask about it on their Q&A page, but it was a locked post, so i couldn't see it. ;~;

i figured it'd be redundant to make my own question about what probably amounts to the same thing, not to mention it'd probably waste their question-answering time.

 

Kelly said the spear is not available for sale and it does not come with the outfit, alas.

Any confirmation if that Wind Walker Promo Pic is indeed white skin?

 

It says he is white skin on Soom's Notice Board.

I'm having the same problem... as well as having doubts that I should have gotten Sabik in white. I really love IO's color in the photos, but I have seen some photos of Soom white dolls that made them look TOO white. It is a very difficult decision!

I have a new Dia white skin and I have placed her head on a Volks SD13 new white skin body, they match fine, it is cream white, not really the "paper white" as DoT white dolls XD
Of course it is a matter of personal taste ^^ IO is wonderful either in white or normal skin, I am sure, I have chosen the white only cause I want to have the chance to switch parts among my Soom boys and they are all in white skin :P

I agree too that IO is probably the less original montly doll, no lion paws, no claws... but I think the head sculpt is wonderful, just what I was looking for and the scarface head is lovely too... well I am thinking on a scarface IO head on a demon Sard body.... awwww *ç*

 

I do like Wind Walker, but I have to admit I would have liked him more with cat's paws or something... Had he had those, I would have wanted him, now I don't mind passing up on him...

 

I really like this doll, but I think he would look better in dark tan. African skin would really suit the lion theme. I'm a bit fed up of the chalk-white dolls in the series.

much as the white-skinned sards look awesome, an NS option would've been nice. ;_;
