Oh god.. that would work! Bird feet but keeping the transparent resin of Topaz. If they made the clothing really floaty and sparkly too, it would match Topaz better. And if Gelena looks like vince_twilight's idea, I'm doomed xD I also don't think fluffy unicorn babies are an impossibility. I mean, Heliot is paired with Onyx. Onyx has nothing really special about her to put into a chibi. So, baby unicorns, one with Onyx's clothes and one with Heliot's clothes, seems possible!
I'm really looking forward to (and already saving for...) a chibi birdy boy, but I must say... if the feet were transparent, I wouldn't get him. I want to actually be able to see the claws....
I'm the opposite and would probably favour a transparent birdy claw over a non trasparent one! But I love transparent resin sooo xD
I'm worried about being SOOMED every month! Next month looks positively perilous. And it will be a miracle if I can convince myself that I REALLY only need one of those little wolves on layaway. I spent some time sniffing about for name meanings of the upcoming tinies. Here is what I found. In the order of their (likely?) appearance: Water- Eliv & Iv: Eliv was incredibly frustrating as I could mostly just find misspelled 'Elvis', 'evil' and some castle in a Neopets game. When I minused out the bothersome words I had more luck and ran across this: "The elivagar, the eleven rivers that flow from the spring Hvergelmir in Niflheim." "In Norse mythology, the Elivagar are eleven venomous frozen rivers. They flow out of Hvergelmir, a spring at one of the roots of the world tree Yggdrasil, into Ginnungagap, the cosmic abyss. From their frozen waters, the giant Ymir sprang to life." (from a book called 'Myths of Northern Lands." There is a band named 'Elivgar' that makes searching the name tricky. Iv appears to mean 'bow' or 'Yew bow' according to a names meaning site. It might also just be short(er) for Elivgar. I'm not sure how much that tells us as to what they'll look like, but that is all I found that makes any sense. Light- Beyla & Bygg: According to Wikipedia: "Beyla is one of Freyr's servants along with her husband, Byggvir, in Norse mythology. Beyla is mentioned in stanzas 55, 66, and the prose introduction to the Poetic Edda poem Lokasenna. Since this is the only mention of Beyla, scholars have turned to the etymology of Beyla's name for additional information about her. However, the meaning of her name is unclear and her name has been proposed as related to "cow," "bean," or "bee."" Furthermore... In relation to Loki's comments in Lokasenna, proposals have been made that Beyla and her husband are personifications of agriculture associated with Freyr: Beyla as the manure that softens the earth and develops the seed, Byggvir as the refuse of the mill, chaff. Cows? Manure? Somehow I can't quite see MDs resembling cow manure! I'm not sure about cows. On Bygg: (Also from Wikipedia.) Byggvir is a figure in Norse mythology. The only surviving mention of Byggvir appears in the prose beginning of Lokasenna, and stanzas 55 through 56 of the same poem, where he is referred to as one of Freyr's servants and as the husband of Beyla. Bygg is the Old Norse word for barley. Comparisons to the Anglo-Saxon figure of Beowa (Old English "barley") have been put forth. Here from the Encyclopedia Mythica: Servant of Freyr, wife of Byggvir. Her name is thought to be related to a word for "cow", and she the protectress of dairy work; the alternate suggestion is that "Beyla" is related to "bee", so that Beyla and Byggvir might be the givers of mead and ale. 'The givers of mead and ale' makes more sense than manure! Next! Air- Yrie & Alk: There are no specific mentions of either name that I can find, but the first thing that comes to mind is 'Valkyrie'- Alk' & 'Yrie.' From Wikipedia: Valkyries also appear as lovers of heroes and other mortals, where they are sometimes described as the daughters of royalty, sometimes accompanied by ravens, and sometimes connected to swans. It sure looks like they'll be birds of some sort. I could easily imagine a raven and a swan being the image for these two. Their goddess could follow this pattern, as well. (Or not. Soom does like to confuse us.) And lastly: Earth- Afi & Ai: These two are really tough. They appear in the Eddic poem, The Rigsthula as 'Ai' which means 'great grandfather' (of peasants) and 'Afi' which means 'Grandfather.' (of farmers.) I'm guessing, unless Soom found a meaning that I didn't, that these will just be names and not related to the dolls. I hope that was helpful or at least inspiring. D= If they're valkyrie I think I'm doomed to be soomed for both unless they're fugly T_____T I wanted Euclase SO DAMN BADLY and I LOVE Norse mythology and Valkyrie are some of my favourites I'll still hold out hope for a chibi Vega, but if there's chibi crow-people then... yeah, I'm done for *adds to list of "things Soom must not release unless they desperately want all my money for the next 18 months which they probably do so I'm dead"* So, that's chibi Vega, chibi kitties and chibi crows they must not release I'm not so big on the bigguns, and I have a Cuprit on the way so I think I'm sated in terms of larger MDs (I hope ) so let's just hope (or not?) that they don't release any of my hopefuls
So Chrom is more or less out... Its the time to start fearing (for me that is) i think the next element is water... and water babies will so kill me do you think they will come up with some crabbies since they are so sought after or mermaids?
if we get birds, I'm totally soomed. I especially love everything Norse as well - so that would be amazing. I loved Euclase, but he was a bit big for me. I so look forward to tiny birds. *fingers crossed*
As far as`water, Im still pulling for baby Bix, cause omg cute. Maybe somethng along the lines of a hermit crab, with a little shell on his back? Squee! XD And don't give up on baby Vesuvia just yet. I know her fullsize version was not water but there are water-dwelling scorpions; and Bix x Vesuvia has always made the most sense as a pair. However, there's also the fairly obvious option of actual 'Water Babies'. Ever read the book? Its about little children who get kidnapped by fey folk of some sort to live underwater, and after a certain amount of time (of fun, good food and other temptations) they grow gills and webbed parts and are never able to come back to the surface again. Possible? It's be super cute anyway.
Time for water baby speculation! With the difference between the fire dolls, it is a little hard to say. I have a *feeling* that they may be tan water sprites of some kind. Perhaps taking the tan from Deneb and the water creature from Vega. They have just re-released their tan Gems, Gena and Godo. Perhaps a point in favor of the Water dolls being tan. I can't decide if I want that or not. Tan wouldn't tempt me, which would provide a little bank account relief. But... I want a tiny WS Vega!
If there are bird feet involved, I'm soomed. x.x At least for the feet. Because then I will be taking paws from my Hati and making a little Gryphon dollie!
For some reason I feel like teaser pics for the new babies will be coming our way today (so the next few hours!) or tomorrow. Then they'll put them on sale the 29th/30th next week. If they want to get them out before June ends that is! That then gives us a weekend to stew over the teaser pics, which I personally cannot wait for! Usually if I'm REALLY soomed by an MD, they have me from the teaser pic. If I'm not sure about the teaser pic, it's unlikely I'm going to turn around and suddenly HAVE to have her! This of course means I'm refreshing the Soom page like a crazy person and will probably continue to do so! If the speculation that they're tan is true, I'm probably safe this time. I like WS, WS and WS! That or CRAZY coloured skin!. Even NS is a bit dark for my tastes! (one of the reasons in the end I was able to pass on Hati, though my dream doll who's currently being paid off is NS and I'm kind of nervous about it!!!) However if the tan is DARK DARK DARK, it might be worth it, though I doubt they'd do that for a water baby. IF however the babies are blue, I may die! Blue and sparkly with gils and webbed fingers.. and a mermaid tail! I'd be so soooooomed!

I hope I don't the new babies because, well.. I want a new watch and some summer clothes please! If I end up needing yet ANOTHER MD, the watch I've been drooling over for months (almost $500) will become a complete impossibility, and new clothes? Looks like I'll be running around in a BROWN PAPER BAG for another few months! Saying that though, even if I don't end up needing the next MD, I'll probably end up with a Bambicrony girl or another Souldoll Mini, or maybe even one of the dolls on my wishlist... Somehow necessities in life such as clothes always get ignored when their are dollies around!
