Sooms new Elemental Babies! (Speculation)

Would be fun Probably TOO predictable though, I haven't got one right yet

 

Well with Glot and Glati coming out looking just like Sard and Beryl most of us were on this kick that all the babies would look just like the bigger dolls. Woops XD! Well we can only hope..is it August 27th yet?

Well you say there was no pattern with Hati and skol and Vesuvia and bix but there's a pattern to me... Vesuvia is part scorpian, bix part crab...hati and skol are part wolf... so thats their pattern... glot and glati were of corse based on Beryl and Sard. and while Vega and Eliv and Iv are obviously connected, it's Daneb who seems the odd 1 out to me :S

Saying that I think Onyx will be another odd 1 out again... I can see the light babies being more closely related to Heliot (Or perhaps I'm just hoping this as he's my fav limited except cass and glot and glati lol)
I layed there awake this morning trying to think what other creatures link to a unicorn... all I could think of was a pegasus...but your right it does seem a tad predictable... but then Glot and glati were o so close to sard and beryl... so perhaps we will see mini heliots... hmmmm

I've been sulking ever since I missed glot and glati so I'm determined to buy atleast 1 set of baby limiteds... but so far I haven't loved any as much as them (let alone more...)

 

I would love the little pegasus idea. More little hooves. I love tiny hooves.

 

How about this for a pattern : hooves, paws then fishy. So then how about hooves, paws (cat maybe) and then bird feet?

 

That would be fun! I don't know whether Soom are done with the hooves for now though, since they've done Cuprit. I would go wild if Soom did a 'Prince of the Forest' Stag God with fawn ears and legs like Amber's, then have chibi!Amber and Heliot to go with him? That would make most sense to me.

I still don't really get what Hati & Skoll have to do with fire and/or Bix & Vesuvia, but there we go

I love the Soom tinys and now I think I will have to buy one of the next.
They are all really gorgeous and cute!!
When will the next tinys be announced on the Soom site?

Its generally about 7 to 10 days before the next teaser is up.... and normally their friday when they put them on sale.

I Love the mini's i'm trying to collect as many as i can i'm trying to get the last five since i missed golt i have eliv and skoll on the way though, i hope they make some bat babies, not vampires nessceisarily but something along that line, then again it's been done. So many some unicorn or deer Babies, li,ke mini Amber's or heliot's. geese sorry about spelling.

 

Interesting, so all the names have been revealed, I didn't know that. I know Hati and Skoll were based off norse mythology so maybe the rest are linked too by either mythology or elements? Well since I'm stuck babbysitting and have no life at the moment I will do some research .

My results are all from wikipedia and google of course I grouped them in 3 groups because soom did on the website and if all the other groups are related (ex. hooves, wolves and fish) then it makes since that these will too.


The first group
Sphaler:spalerite, crystal zinc mineral.

Beyla and Bygg: Byggvir and Beyla. Norse mythology characters who served Freyr. They are mentioned as husband and wife so they probably aren't tinies and they are super gems.

Not too sure on a relationship here between Sphaler and Beyla/Bygg.


The second group
Galena: is a mineral, lead sulfide, an important lead ore. No idea here.

Yrie: Yrsa, Yrse, Yrs or Urse was a tragic heroine of Scandinavian legend.

Alk: couldn't find anything by the name alone although there are other characters related to Yrie with semi-close names. They suggested that they were lovers but I'm not sure, so this might be another super gem pair.

Again, I couldn't think of any connection to each other or other monthlies.


The third group
Chalco: Chalcocite, a copper sulfide mineral also brass. Also have no clue.

Ai: a number of exciting things popped up. Ay, was an ancient pharaoh in Egypt so that could be a nod to Euclase. Ai, following with the norse theme soom seems to be on atm, is another norse god. Ai, is also a 3 toed sloth (hey Euclase has 3 toes so you never know ).Finally, Ai Toyon, the Yakut god of light, usually depicted as an eagle perched atop the "world tree". That could be taken as a Heliot (light) or Euclase (bird) reference?

Afi: couldn't find anything on him or anything that even looked close but he should be related to Ai in someway if following the pattern of 2 tinies being released together (although with the case of Beyla and Bygg they might switch it up and start releasing 2 super gems together).

Again no immediate connection.

Conclusion: Haha I guess my research wasn't too helpful in the end but I killed a good 45 minutes and now we have more fodder for more wild speculation, right?

Yep after getting my Glati I'm totally tiny Soomed beyond help. I have to get both tinies this time around and make sure they are full sets. Sad news for my bank account. Though I am getting anxious now, I can't wait for the teaser pictures! *prays for hooves*

 

but Beyla from (wiki) can be associated with agriculture and cows. To me this means hooves!

 

I... don't think it's very likely that the pairs will be Super Gems. They're listed as being from the 4th world, which is the world of the 'spirits', all of whom have so far been teenies. The teenies were also introduced in part to reduce the workload for Soom - switching that up to make two Super Gems in one month (especially while they're still sorting out the previous delays) seems even more unlikely.

The 'relationship' between all the Gods and their minions is that the Gods created the minions to help them - there's no name connection for any of them, because Super Gems have a set naming pattern which transcends the MD theme (all named after gems/minerals), but teenies don't (and so can be named in connection to the God theme, which is mostly Norse mythology).

Alk and Yrie are probably the word 'Valkyrie' broken into parts. The Valkyrie have winged associations, and these tinies are of the air element, so that fits thematically.

Ai and Afi are earth elements, so I doubt they'd be related to Euclase (they're actually listed as being related to Amber and IO). The theme of this set has been Norse mythology with Tolkien elvish (specifically, Quenya) words thrown in - I doubt Egyptian mythology would turn up out of nowhere at this point.

There's been a lot of speculation going on in the other Soom Gods of 6 Elements thread (the one in the Larger Dolls forum). Anyone curious should check it out - there's a lot of really interesting theories over there

Is it just me, or is Soom early this month? Not that I'm complaining! I wonder if these two will be anything like Heliot/Onyx.
