Sooms new Elemental Babies! (Speculation)

I don't think they will include Deneb in this since she wasn't popular

 

Has anyone asked Soom if the monthlies will be Teenie Gem from now one? They could do something different...

 

Since 4th land ( where Glot and Glati belong) hold only 6 elements, we can imagine the 2nd land will hold different size/style of dolls...

I don't think - and don't WANT - the teenies will match all the previous MD. Glot and Glati are same mold with different customization, I think it will ne the same for next, each elements incarnated with a specific race (Glot and Glati are Lila/Lilu demons) available as girl or boy.
I really hope they'll come with something new ; to me they used the pattern of horn/hooves because that's what made the MD so popular, as a sort of tribute to the sard/Beryl fans. Maybe some of the teenies will look close to some previous MD, but I hope it will only be a few, because Soom always amzed us all the past years, so it will be a little easy and "cheap" to give us the same dolls but in tiny size.

 

Soom not making a tiny based off an unpopular doll sounds logical, but I think it's not a good idea either; Many people may be more inclined to pick up a smaller, cuter, and cheaper version of some of these limiteds than they were with the larger dolls. (I know I would be)

I can't wait to see what Soom comes up with in the future, if they do come out with a tiny Amber, I hope I can get her.

 

I am in two minds about who I want next; I mean ideally I want mini!Euclase/Heliot to be in the next pair as they are the two that I really want to go with my two large versions, but at the same time I want something else to come next so I actually have time to save for them XD
And Deneb wasn't really popular because of the price tag; there was no option for the optional parts such as later on.
I personally think they'll make all 12 Zodiac's they have already released in tiny form, but I have been wondering about Onyx... she was a 'pair' already when she was released so who else thinks that there will, in logic, be a three released one month, doll x and Onyx with the option of light or Shadow skin?

 

I'm really hoping that Soom goes out and makes a tiny mermaid for vega, with actual resin joints. ~

But aghh, these new molds are so adorableee. ;3; But...I do agree...that I don't want them to all just be copies of the previous ones. D: That would be ...something of a cop-out in my opinion. D: Either way, I'm holding on tight to my funds, so I can purchase one if necessary!

 

There also isn't anything solid suggesting that they will always release two tinies at the same time. Glot and Glati were just terribly convenient to release as a pair. The same could be said for Heliot and Amber, as well as the Onyx twins. They may release the others seperately, who knows?

Oh, and I would also like to put out there that I would love to see baby Vega with a real resin merman tail! That would be too adorable!!

 

Well, if they do release the MD's as tinies (and I personally hope they do) my guess is this is how they'd be paired up:

* dark: Beryl & Sard (obviously)
* light: Heliot & light Onyx
* earth: Bix (crabs crawl on the earth) & Amber (creature of the forest)
* water: Vega (merman) & Deneb (because she's an aquarius?)
* air: Topaz (fairies fly) & Euclase (birds do too )
* fire: Vesuvia (what's in a name?) & Io (because lions are feisty)

Though if I were to pair them up - the original MD's I mean - it would look like this:
- Beryl x Sard
- Heliot x Amber
- Vesuvia x Bix
- Onyx x Io
- Topaz x Euclase
- Deneb x Vega (because of the size)

Not really. They still have to redevelope the concept in a child form. Then go through the whole sculpting and enenering phase. Plus the pattern drafting process for the clothes.

 

i agree, the dolls dont really look anything like the originals, plus theyre adding in extras (like the resin wings) so there is a relative amount of work. besides, i want soom to kind of take a break so that they can catch up to the orders and actually ship them out quickly

For the new chibi MD dolls with additon of darknes and light as a element categorys Soom might not follow the above patern. Maybe they plan to create additional " new unseen model type" dolls since they added extra categorys?

 

I don't think they would sprin new concepts on us in this tiny series. Cause then there might be outcries of "Why didn't you make this one in Super Gem size?!" So I think we will be safe from an assault of fresh concepts.

But don't take my word for it. I could be dead wrong.

In a way, this is a little less exciting and speculative, because we KNOW what the MDs looked like before, so we are sort of brace for the impact (of adorable).

 

theres always the completely unseen other land thats going to hit us like a ton of bricks! i think thats where soom is really going to get creative or take on a new project. i cant believe everyone is getting so annoyed that soom isnt making completely new doll designs yet! taking the "cheap" way out by making the mds available again (like everyone wanted) in a cuter and more afforable way. in my opinion we have to step back and take a look at how much soom is doing, no other company makes completely new, original sculpts -every month- and the dolls all still manage to maintain amazing quality. im hoping they make all of the original mds into this new baby form, theres nothing wrong with building off of a good idea is you ask me!

 

okay i have a question!!! i was looking at clothes online at soom and i realized that they now have a "little gem/msd" section! this wasnt always there, was it? there is no "little gem" option on the side, maybe this means that the secret "second land" dolls will be msd sized?

Those little gem clothes have been there for a while, some of the items even say "* compatible with : msd , doc , Kid-delf, mini-fee..." so they were just making clothes for other sizes, even though they didn't sell that size themselves.

They could be doing a new doll size for the monthly dolls, but since all of the previous MDs have been in sizes they already made it could be that the new ones will be Gem sized... or Mini Gem (1/6 mature tiny) or even another set of Mecha Angel or Super Gems, with a different "world" because it's a different year. Either way we'll find out in a month. To be honest I'm kind of hoping they don't release Little Gem size since then I'd be...really tempted again.

 

i dont think theyd mention "little gems" or manuafacture a line of clothes thats not compatible with thier dolls... you dont see pipos selling clothes for sds or anything...

unless im just totally wrong @.@

 

Working on the assumption that they would be releasing the Mini Zodiac dolls in pairs, I ended up discussing this very thing with some of my family at dinner the other day! Interestingly, each of my mother, my brother and myself had different theories. This is the breakdown (using the order of elements from the Glot and Glati pic, rather than that presented in the first post):

MYSELF:
Darkness: Glot and Glati (I've been pronouncing these names “Glow” and “Gelati” )
Earth: Amber and Bix
Air: Heliot and Topaz
Light: Euclase and Onyx
Fire: Io and Vesuvia
Water: Vega and Deneb

MOTHER:
Earth: Bix and Amber
Air: Topaz and Euclase
Light: Heliot and Onyx
Fire: Io and Vesuvia
Water: Deneb and Vega

BROTHER:
Earth: Onyx and Euclase
Air: Topaz and Heliot
Light: Deneb and Amber
Fire: Io and Vesuvia
Water: Vega and Bix

But I'd be quite happy to have Amber and Heliot released at the same time as well (and not until Light), because they're the two I'm definitely going to have to buy, if they ever exist. They already have names and characters!

As for the 2nd land, I can only hope it won't tempt me...

 

I'm anticipating that they'll do the other ten monthlies. It's really not entirely fair to say 'Deneb wasn't popular', since Soom didn't exactly announce 'this is the first of 12 amazing dolls you'll end up jumping through hoops for', and she was only sold as an (unbelievably expensive) full-set. Soom hadn't quite gotten the formula for sheer dolly addiction right at the outset. I also don't think it helped Deneb any that they'd released that li'l warrioress the month before, making it look a little like a 'babes in armor' theme was happening at the start of 2008, LOL!

But ah, yes, the guessing, er, matching! *

Darkness: done, Beryl and Sard.
Light: Amber and Heliot, and I'll bet they'll be the last ones released too, just like with the monthlies. It will draw out the agony, er, anticipation so much better!
Air: Gotta agree with anyone who chose Euclase and Topaz. She's so bright, he's so grey, I think they'll contrast well, actually, as adorable chibis!
Earth: Vesuvia and Bix (they both do that urban leather thing so well, and have animal themes. I'd really wanted Vesuvia to be fire, but I don't see her with Io, and he screams fire to me. Well, not literally, snort. I'd wanted Bix to be water, because hello, crab = water, but Vega said no.
Fire: Io and Deneb (I bet they put the two of them together as they both kick butt)
Water: Vega (easiest to place!) and Onyx (because of the reflecting pool in her pics, yeah!)

* Note that these guesses are guaranteed to be incorrect!

I'm still looking forward to the stylistic changes, and I really do think we'll see the debut of the 2nd world at the end of March. Assorted deities help us!

If they are going to be making all the zodiacs into minis i think i'm going to hold off on getting glot/glati. I was going to but after sleeping on it I think I want to wait and get Euclase (bummed I didn't get him the first time) or to see if they are going to do something new.
If they do the elements with the zodiac and do the air with Topaz and Euclase I would die of happiness and have to get both of them. There are a few I could see them playing around with
Air: Topaz and Euclase
Earth: Bix and Light Onyx/Deneb
Fire: Io and Vesuvia
Water: Vega/Bix and Light Onyx
Light: Amber and Heliot (both their promos were very blindingly white >_>

I would also LOVE to see some new originals minis, however I think that Soom would be doing the right thing in the zodiac monthlies seeing as they sold more than anything and its right after their first year run so they are still super popular and everyone is bummed after missing a few of them that they could have their chance to get them (in some form.) If they were to do originals minis and chose Beryl and Sard based on their darkness works really well factor, I'd like to see them play with the elements in the style of the entire doll, and not just the Soom fins and hooves and stuff, like adding a fire like wig or eyes that are like a water reflection, or something.
