Sooms new Elemental Babies! (Speculation)

I suggested the cat thing to the Soom Lady and she didn't say no xD
She didn't give anything away, but agreed with me that it's unlikely that we'll have a mini Amber (in the sense of a chibi with the same wig/overall colour scheme) because that's already the basic colour scheme of Yrie - they wouldn't do the same thing twice in row.

Personally I think we're more likely to have something like cats as we've had plenty of hooves, but they could play it safe and do hooves again.. who knows!

 

Ooh, kitties! Personally I'd prefer something that wasn't hooves again, as I like variety, but at least it might mean my wallet was safe. X3

 

It's funny, I was thinking we'd be more likely to see hooves again, but I don't get to talk to the Soom Lady like some people do, LOLOL! We're so lucky to have you around, Midnite!

And I honestly would be horrified/fascinated by kitties... I think that the Hati/Skoll regret would increase by, like, a factor of 100 then. Who wouldn't want a chibi puppy to chase a chibi kitty?

If it's unlikely that they're doing the same color scheme as Amber for the earth tinies, then it is very likely that the same could be said for little kitties patterened after Io. Even with the NS Io was a lighter/tan/ earthy shade MD. So what are we left with now Crazy colors, or will they go back to white and grey?

So crazy colored hooves or crazy colored kitties? I guess we'll just have to wait and see.

Plus, will the make another hooved god in Jan or will they go with a feline god? (meh.)

I don't care if they're goats, cows, deer, saytrs...I just want hooves.

 

Oh! Well... now these thoughts of cats in place of deer has really gotten me worried... as it seems rather logical -not- to make another hoofed set... and certainly not after the release of Yrie - who really does have Amber's hair and elements of the face (I'm going to regret not getting that wig though...*murfle*)... and probably not on the heels of the unicorns...

I really just wanted Amber's ears on a petite little head...

 

I really have no idea if we'll get hooves or paws or something totally different, just that it seems unlikely we'll have a complete Amber replica because Yrie's colour scheme is already SO close to Amber's (the wig is the same!).
There's nothing to say they won't have chibi Io's with his colour scheme however, as we haven't had anything quite like that yet.

We really could see hooves. We could see kitten paws. We could see something totally different.
I honestly really have NO IDEA, which is why I was mumbling at the Soom Lady about it! I really have no idea which direction they're going to go, so anything I say really is just speculation.. don't listen to me xD

 

Oh I know it's only speculation - I'm just saying that Io is a 'slightly less' paler color scheme than Amber was so really, if they're thinking about steering clear of Amber's earth tones, they'd probably keep from Io's earhty tones as well. Especially when Alk and Yirie are pale and or sandy. But who knows, it seems every single tiny with the exception of Bygg and Hati and Skoll were varied degrees of pale. I'm just hoping since they loosely followed the zodiac before that hooves for saggitarius/the holidays just makes more sense. Besides, sooo many other companies do cats, or cat parts...they're really not that unique. Yeah soom does alot of hooves, but they seem to be the only ones that does them whereas companies across the boards seem to be getting into the feline motif.

Meh, I guess we'll see.

 

Other companies have done cats, but Soom hasn't, so it would be original for them, and love it or hate it, we all know there will be cries of 'not more hooves' if they do the hoof thing again.

It's hard to say on color scheme. I personally don't see 'Earth' as not being greens, browns, maybe a madder red or some russets, but 'earthy' is what I would expect for a color tone. Personal clothes-wise, Yrie seems to be more pinky, and of course Alk is blue. I wouldn't mind seeing dark, rich browns and maybe some reds, or color like an autumn forest.

For personal faceups and hair, I'd love to see them go dark brown with the hair, as the only dark-hair I recall is Skoll, and I think it would be dramatic againts the WS I am fully expecting for the dolls. Amber was WS and Io had a WS version, I don't see them being quite as obsessed about offering both Io's skin tone options the way they were about Onyx, but that could just be me too.

I also don't think that we'll see exact replicas, because everyone's right, the wigs already feel like mini-replicas of Io and Amber this month! Alk's is red with braids just like a mini-Io, and Yrie's is more like Ambers...I sort of like the mix-and-match themese from various monthlies, only it does make speculation difficult.

I just feel so bad for us though! Just as many people are through Christmas and tightening their financial belts for New Year, we'll all be tempted by new tinies, it's sort of not-fair, isn't it?

*laugh* there was an doll fan who looked at soom, i don't know why she looked at soom, i guess she'll be broke.

i like the idea of a darker clothes/hair/eyes for the earth tones ones.. but then we still have to wait after this next big one to see..

 

Well, I would not take Soom Lady's words to heart.

Last time we got grey unicorn and Soom Lady said that all those who bought Heliot will be in love with Sphaler. And at the end we got Korean Dragon..... to me that is NOT matching to what Soom lady said. But that is just me.

Cat would be cool. But they will probably end up with chubby claws like the wolf cubs and the birdies LOL

 

Yeah the paws and claws really don't appeal. They're "cute" in a chibi/super deformed kinda way but not at all for me...I just hope whatever Soom does make for their next tinies (yes, hoof fan here - I think I already established...but..) is original not only to Soom, but in comparison of other companies and not just a 'jumping on the bandwagon' so we can sell the parts that almost *everyone else* sells too.

 

I would not mind chubby claws for a kitty...they already kinda have those in rl! But if they are kitties, my wallet is not safe. Never has been anyway, lol.

 

I actually think Sphaler is an exact representation of what she said!
He was so white and airy and floaty, very Heliot like in the way he was done up. I don't think she was referring to his fantasy parts, but more his overall atmosphere, but I could be totally wrong.

Still, no, she isn't always right and a lot of the time she doesn't know what's coming next.
It's just nice to discuss things over with someone with a different perspective on things. That's what I find anyway.

Anyway yeah, I think the problem with cats is that they'll look too much like Hati and Skoll. I already thought Hati and Skoll were more cat than wolf, so I'm not quite sure what they could do for cat - unless they do some extreme stripy body painting?

 

I look forward to seeing what Afi and Ai are too~~ But I really have no clue what they will be At least with Hati and Skoll, the names were the giveaway right? I'm not sure about a cat either, but at least that brings some Io-ness lol! ^^;; It would be a little odd for them to come out with another set of hooves, since that would make half of their tiny MDs hooflings. . .O_O that's a lot of hooves. . .At least with the larger MDs after Heliot, Amber, and Cuprit they took an SD hoof break ^^;

 

To be honest I wouldn't mind seeing hooves again, but I don't think I'd say no to little kitties or bug parts either. Though I really am hoping to see some Amber-ish features in December's tinies.

November's monthly doll will most likely give us some kind of insight as to what type of parts the tinies will have, so I really, really can't wait to see November's so I can decide if I want to save or not. Though I'll probably save up anyway just in case the faces are really cute.

EDIT: I also think that Alk and Yrie's color scheme is more closer to Topaz than Amber. Amber is more neutral than the tinies' color scheme.

 

I know it would make sense for them to do kitty-themed tinies and take a break from the hooves, but chibi Heliot and chibi Amber are the two I've wanted all year. After Beyla was just what I'd been dreaming of, I've been desperately hoping for Amber's ears, antlers, and hooves on the next tiny MD. If they're kitties I will be so disappointed.

 

As much as I love the idea of little kittens I would be so bummed not to have a tiny Amber, the big one didn't do it for me, but those ears on a tiny would be wonderful.
