Sooms new Elemental Babies! (Speculation)

I for one like the idea of neutral gendered (or hermafrodites or something other) tinies in two different colours. Gives more variation and otherwise we'd be getting a whole lot of white dolls... But I'd really like a NS option (although I know I'm probably in the minority here) next to a fantasy resin. But paired with black resin, the white just seems right. Very jing&jangish, eh?

Edit: Oh, does anyone know / care to enlighten me what the names mean or where are they from? Since last year the tiny names were from norse mythology and the SGs are stones. It might give us some clue to more speculation

 

I would imagine there will be at least one tiny in NS this year?
I could see them pairing NS with perhaps a red resin doll or something? The balance would be better than next to WS I'd think.
While NS fans are certainly the minority, so too are fantasy resin fans, and I know what it's like to be in the minority of people dying for creative coloured dolls! It only makes sense that should offer even just a little NS for those who love it.

 

Maybe going with the opposites theme this year, all the tinies will be one "normal" color - NS, WS or tan I guess, maybe even grey since they do it so much - and one fantasy color. That might mean that only the tinies will be fantasy colored and the matching SuperGem will be the more normal color, for this year at least. Which isn't a bad idea if they are testing the popularity of fantasy colors.

Maybe that means we'll have tan and green skinned dryads, or WS and blue fishies, or...shiny grey baby mecha cows. XD

 

That would make me SO HAPPY!!!
I mean, I really don't need to bring any more big dolls home, and only do so when they are just too fabulous for me to say no to.
Fantasy coloured tinies would mean I'd get my coloured resin fix, and my soom fix, all in one!
And the great thing about fantasy resin is that even if you don't like the fantasy parts so much, the doll will be perfectly fine in its human form as it will still be a crazy colour!

The thought of shimmery coloured resins makes me SO EXCITED! xD

 

Annnnnd...*quick Google-fu* there is a mineral called shonkinite, and...I have no idea what Appini means. Fruit? Martini? Vague innuendo?

 

I think only a green little dryad doll would get me to buy fantasy resin But it would definitely Soom me! I'd love a doll like the friendly nymph in FFIX click here for a pic So I'll wait with my fingers crossed for the Wood element.

Luckily for this baby speculation thread we'll apparently see a bigger version of what's coming up first

 

Waiting Soom to release the rest of the pics for Appini & Shonki I reread the MD story pt.2 and this line jumped at me:

'The Entacanes also divided their two original natures into positive and negative just like the Cane who gave birth to them.'

I think we'll really see two opposites of the same theme with each set of tinies this year. And I'm liking this more than having a girl/boy pairing who look pretty much the same with a little difference in their styling.

Now if they would just release rest of the pics including Appini/Shonki part of the story, we'd see if these are related to Brecchia in the same element (spirit) or if they totally turn this up. And looking at the teaser more, they do look more and more like kittens to me (as opposed to foxes like Brecchia), which could lead to that tinies aren't copies of their bigger counterparts after all. Ah, Soom, why do you tease us...

 

So interesting...I wonder if we would see a bird/bat theme, or if it would all be opposite resin colors? Like a NS/tan combo, or even more fantasy options, they can't all be black and white. Though no complaints, Soom, in case you're listening. So, red and blue resins? I mean what would Soom consider 6 sets of opposites? Maybe a fire and ice theme?

I was thinking fire and ice!!! So they could do red resin and blue resin.. or more likely red resin and white resin.. or even tan resin and blue resin.. the possibilities are endless!
I'm tempted to start spamming Soom's message board with comments like WE WOULD APPRECIATE MORE FANTASTIC COLOURS THANKS, but I guess that wouldn't be too helpful xD

 

Always worth a try, but I know Soom's going to march to the beat of their own drum. I'd really love to see something...unique. I mean what if they do an ocean and earth theme? It could be a fish and a dryad, right? A WS fish and a green skin or tan dryad type? LOL! So much speculation fodder, I'll have to be careful not to have the 'Hati and Skoll' effect, over-speculation leads to disappointment.

Yeah, like a lot of people were disappointed with Breccia just because they were expecting MORE.
I know if they'd done the exact same head sculpt, fantasy parts, big breast body and clothes, but made her a fantasy resin colour, I'd have gotten her in a flash.
It was just the neutral natural-ness of it all that people went OH to.

Personally I don't really want them to release anymore tan just because I already have my Afi and she is PERFECT. Nothing could be as amazing as her, and she fills my tan quota! Don't need another one.
Would like to see a green dryad, blue ice/fish, something red resin and firey.. and hell, and excuse for some shimmery purple and shimmery pink. And all GIRLS. xD

 

I hope for more tan and grey skin + other colours, I love them
I also hope they are all gender neutral since 2 out of my 3 tiny dolls are boys making my glot the only girl. It seems I prefer boys over girls lately anyways .__.;;

I also want more brilliant looking faceups. The natural ones are cute and probably more suited to the tiny gems but please Soom, just ONE darker faceup. Maybe against a fantasy resin?

I want to see more hooves (Yes, I love Soom hooves) or more mermaid like dolls. I'd die if they made a little lion (Like a tiny IO.) I'm excited to see what they have to release this year though.

 

Afi's faceup is actually VERY beautiful!
I think it's because it is against the tan, they had to go for something much more unique than their usual natural faceups.
So I think if they start releasing more interesting resins, they'll have to make the faceups more vivid too.
This black skin for example, they're going to HAVE to do something intense for that or the doll is just going to look like it has no faceup at all!

I wouldn't say no to more grey skin, but I'd like to see another big grey Super Gem girl rather than a tiny.
Again, I have my Bygg so I don't really need yet another grey tiny. I'd rather seem them reuse Vesuvia's shimmery purple resin (so close to grey) and do a tiny in that instead!
Still, grey and tan would be better than CW and NS any day!
I already have 1 x CW Super Gem and 3 x CW (will be 4) Teeny Gem MDs.. while I only have the ONE tan teeny and ONE grey teeny.

Saying that though, even if they kept releasing CW.. if they'd just make the faceups more vivid and brilliant, as well as the blushing, that would be fabulous too!
Not sure I see them doing it with the teenies though, just because they seem to want to go for that cute neutral childlike look. x_x

 

I was actually surprised they didn't do a sun and moon tiny, with Breccia being moon and all...but maybe they'd be WS and TS and after Afi and Ai, they didn't want to do it again so soon...I've been wandering around trying to figure out opposite themes for tinies, LOL!

Well there's nothing to say they won't still!
They might be shaking it up a bit this year and having all the houses split up all over the place, ESPECIALLY if these are baby kittens, not foxes!

I'd definitely rather they did GOLD resin, or something like red resin with gold fantasy parts for the sun though.
I WOULD KILL FOR GOLD AND SILVER RESIN.
Then they could do white skin with silver resin for the moon!
.. and then I'd have to have both of them. Oops xD

 

OMG! Can you imagine if they did that? If they did, like, a WS tiny with silver glittery resin, I don't know, hooves, because come on, we're all pretty sure we'll get a couple of sets of tinies with hooves this year, and then an tan skin tiny with golden hooves too?! That would be, like, utterly horrible. In a spendy way.

So I've got all sorts of thoughts, like flora and fauna, angel and devil, day and night (can you imagine a light blue and dark blue resin pair?!) Sigh, but we'd have to wait and see if the tinies are 'mixed up' do you think that'd mean we'd see a SG cat later in the year? Cat boy!

That would be so amazing.. and so BAD.. because I'm sure I'd end up with BOTH OF THEM.. as FULLSETS.
And then I would CRY FOR THE REST OF THE YEAR. xD

Saying that though, if they start to release really fabulous coloured dolls this year, I MIGHT start selling off some of my WS tinies... maybe.
And if this trend for more immature sculpts holds, I might end up getting fullsets of new WS dolls (the ones with FABULOUS SILVER PARTS!) and then just split off heads or whatever then part with older bodies. We'll see!

I think the reason why these weren't sun-moon tinies was because there's another element which has Sun as it's nature (as opposed to Brecchia being moon). I still think these are related to Brecchia, but take another approach to Aether-Moon. Sadly I also think that Soom will continue making the two tinies in the same mold (except for maybe the hip if they do boy/girl pairs). Just think if you had to choose between a bird and a bat instead of a, say, bat in two different resins. Two different resin colors gives them a wider customer base per mold, since there are people who like the fantasy resin version (midnite at the top of the line ) and others who like the WS (and please NS!) version.

 

Argh, Soom really surprised me & blew all my speculations in the wind: Shonki & Appini are also "last negative", like Breccia! So, we will have a big doll of a defined concept, followed by two tiny dolls of the same concept?! Fox Breccia, followed by kitten Shonki & Appini.
This means we will have 12 release events and not 6 like it seemed to look according to Soom's description of Breccia.

 

Well, the pics for Shonki&Appini are now up, and looking at their part of MD story, I was right! They first release a bigger MD and then two tinies of the same element and attributes, but with a (slightly) different theme.

And since these are gender neutral, it would suggest that there could be gender neutral tinies with two different resins all year! Yey!

So the rest of the MDs are (neglecting the Air, Moment, Season and those, since I can't figure out how they relate to the dolls...):

Water - small negative, water
Wood - small positive, green vegetation
Earth - bright positive, soil
Fire - big positive, sun
Metal - big negative, iron, rock
(Brecchia and Shonki&Appini were Aether - last negative, moon)

I now put these in the order of the little poem in the MD story, but we don't know for sure in which order the dolls come out, do we?
