Sooms new Elemental Babies! (Speculation)

As much as I'd love that dryad for wood element, I'd actually put my money on the monkeys akasora Soom might do all animals (or animal spiririts) this year. I wouldn't be too bothered by that since we'd be seeing something new. True, won't be fabulously fantasy, but definitely something new. And if the scuptor for the tinies has changed and they don't appeal to me anymore (I'm sorry, I just didn't like the face sculpt of Appini/Shonki), it gives me more monies to get last year's dolls I liked second hand.

 

Sooo, the new MD is up. Tinies ought to follow, any ideas what is to come?

Seeing as Monzo is 'Stone Heart', I'd guess that he belongs to Metal element (Soom put iron and rock as the nature of that element). That would however make him the big negative which would ruin speculation that all negatives are female and positives male. He could be Earth as well, though, which would be a positive.

Anyways, I have a very strong feeling that we'll be seeing another GS/WS couple of tinies. But with what?

 

This is BAD! I have a bygg and I cant tell you how much I love the colour It's gorgeous! I'll wait for the rest of the pics of the new MD to be released before I do any proper speculating... But I'd so love little demons or gargoyles
But then part of me is hopeing hooves... as I've told myself no more hooves (i have glot, beyla, bygg and afi *.*) and then my money will be safe

But you are right I think we will see WS/GS again. Perhaps because soom feel using two resin option is going so well they will keep it up I'd love to see different colours though.

 

A special resin colour is wise to pair with a 'normal' color (I'm counting WS as normal here), because then they are catering for a wider audience. Some want special resin, some don't.

I'm a bit torn here about GS, it could not have been a worse timing for me. I was really thinking of getting a Beyla, but as I would have made that into two different characters I would have been swarmed with WS dolls and I kinda want to keep my Ai the special WS doll for me. So I kinda thought of getting Bygg instead since I love the mold and after seeing owner pics I really liked Bygg. Now if they release another GS tiny... Aagh, I'd have to wait and see that face sculpt before getting either the new tiny or Bygg since I don't want to regret anything. But that is a month away!

 

Give me some tiny gargoyles Soom, YOU KNOW YOU WANT TO.

I'm really disappointed with this new MD just because he looks EXACTLY like my kind of thing, but he's a HE. And I don't go for male dolls.
Now I knew this next doll would be male, but my biggest fear was that they'd waste all their fabulous creativity on the male dolls while continuing with WS for the females.

If they released a little GS gargoyle I could make a girl, complete with resin wings, I'd be THRILLED!!!

 

Well midnite, I suspect we will be seeing grey tinies next month! I wonder if they will do the 'slight bump' hermaphrodite body, which might make one of my Byggs feel better about himself, LOL! But of course we'll have to wait and see, but it would be sort of nifty to have a Bygg with his big ole feather-wings next to a grey tiny with bat-wings of some sort.

I seriously hope the next MD's are released in at least a WS so i can split off and get a WS body for my Ai boy. I do agree that they seem more anime-like and less.. fancy? Like the parts and overall sculpt just doesnt have the same feel as the ones before. I think its because theyre real animals and less fantasy, but im kind of hoping they step up a little more and make them a bit more..soomish? xD im bad with explaining but so far i havent been too impressed. Im very curious about whats next for the teenies.

Edit: The new SD however has a grey resin, but also double horns and what looks like wings, so im very curious what kind of creature he is made to represent which will give us a good guess towards what the next tinys could possible be.

 

...If Soom releases tiny gargoyles next month, I'm SCREWED. I'd better do darn well at my convention so I have some money to afford one...

 

I'm really dreading next month' tinies O_O If Soom only somehow follows the Monzo line (bat, gargoyle etc.), I'm lost. AND I won't show them to my boyfriend! Otherwise, he will also want one^^.

 

Baby bats I would buy. Baby gargoyles I would buy. xD

I think the only thing I would be hesitant to buy right now would be another hooved grey doll, simply because I already have 4 hooved tinies (3 at home and 1 on the way), one of whom is of course grey.
I am kind of done with hooved tinies at this point!
The benefit of a GS tiny would be that, even if I hated the heads on this one, I could finally have a body for my 2nd Bygg head which I would not say no to!

 

I...would have to agree with you on hooved babies, unless they were really novel and unique, or had a face/faces I couldn't pass up, it would be getting a little difficult to justify. But I know there are folks about who didn't get Bygg or passed who would still find it a good opportunity, so I think it wouldn't be a loss.

Besides, there's still every chance that they won't go grey at all for the tinies, after all, Shonki didn't resemble Breccia in terms of color at all.

What I'm also interested in for the next release, besides fancy resin colors and fantasy parts, is the face sculpt!
I'm curious if they will follow the child-like sculpting of Shonki and Appini. Usually, a face sculpt is my final buy or not buy argument. I mean the sculpts of last year were visibly of one team of creators, and Shonki/Appini of another team. There is a high posssibility that one can judge from the the following release, which route they are taking, with tiny's face-sculpting.

The new MD is amazing! I love him! If the tinys are the same I'm in BIG trouble!!! I'm ment to be saving up for my bf's birthday pressie!!! damn!!!!!!!! Why soom...why *cries*

I think this is the year of PAWS or something! Fox paws, kitten paws, gargoyle paws... so maybe we'll be seeing paws next?

Either way, I'd have gotten Monzo if his body wasn't so.. well yes... So if they release something close to this in tiny form, I WILL BE DOOMED AND BUY THE WORLD.
They could release a GS and NS tiny gargoyle too, which would be nice for the NS fans as all they've gotten so far is Hati and Skoll!

Sadly, the Soom lady has quit and is now no longer there, and someone new has taken over. I have NO IDEA if they're going to be nice and friendly like the last Soom lady was, and whether or not I'll be able to easily find out information and stuff.
But I'll do my best!

 

Augh, so the new MD is indeed a gargoyle and of Metal element. So now I'm seeing no pattern in which order they're making these dolls! Which sucks because I'm really looking forward to that wood element and would like to know when to hold off getting anything else.

And on topic of next month's tinies, they could be little gargoyles, they could be anything! Like Appini/Shonki didn't exactly follow Brecchia but since I can't think of anything else 'stoney', I'll bet for little gargoyles. And I still think that one of them is going to be GS, even though heidipay made a valid point. However, Appini was WS like Brecchia so on the grounds that one of the tinies is same colour as the large one, there could be a GS tiny. I'm actually hoping for a GS tiny, since I've made myself want one. And if this one has a cuter face than Bygg did, great! If not, I know which Soom tiny to hunt for in the second hand market.

But if they do as midnite suggested, that there'll be a GS and NS pair, and their face is too adorable to resist, I don't know what to do... Especially since at late May I won't have money to buy both. And I really would like to have a NS friend for my Hippu. Well, buying or not really does come to the face sculpt.

But Soom did really steer away from the cute animal, eh?

 

I'm looking forward to seeing next month's tinies. I really want baby gargoyles! ;^; I think I'll end up going for grey skin and if I'm really careful with my doll spending I could probably get one on a one month layaway. I just hope they don't chibify the fantasy parts too much.

 

Hmm.. basically yeah, we know that the next tinies are going to be the METAL element, and that their attributes (or whatever it said on the chart) are metal and stone. (how does stone relate to metal btw? xD).
So, what do we think they could do for either metal or stone?
Stone really is a gargoyle, and I can't think of much of anything else. What about metal?
