      - Gargoyles
      - Scorpion
      - some kind of lizard
      - Golemn (sp?)

    4. That totally really works with the whole theme! :lol: That would be so strange though, I never thought of an armadillo as cute...

      I'm thinking we could possibly get sun babies but since Breccia and Shonki/Appini represent moon I'm thinking moon babies are not in the near future.

      When do they normally put up the first preview pic? I haven't really been keeping track.

      I know I keep saying this.. and I'm not letting it go any time soon... but the idea of a SILVER doll (pearly parts sounds FABULOUS) and a GOLD doll (as the sun) just KILLS ME WITH THE AMAZING.
      I really would have to bring them both home.. and just cry and my bank balance. xD
      They'd never do that though.. they'd have to release them seperately if they did as they'd never release 2 fantasy resin dolls at the same time without a WS/NS option.

      Still.. I CAN DREAM.

      It seems to me though that Soom are going for more animal representations of the elements rather than the element itself.
      So we got a fox instead of an actual moon, for example.

      Oh well, I think as long as they go back to more mature face sculpts and have a fantasy resin option, I'll be happy no matter what the animal!
      Though I'm kind of dreading my Shonki arrival as she'll be my first Soom arrival BLANK.. I still have no idea who to send her to or anything so she may be blank for a while!!

      She's going to be an egyptian kitty eventually. Lots of metallic golds and stuff which should look great on the black resin.
      But I have to work out who's going to do it! Had two artists in mind, so we'll see what happens when she arrives and where I can get a slot / what will work best.

      As for the dolls.. well giant man beast (as I've been calling him) is still on sale until the 15th here in Japan, so at the very earliest I wouldn't expect anything new until late next week.

    10. Armadillos (being a texas native here) are kinda cute xD but you dont see them too often and im not 100% on how theyd make a doll of an armadillo :/ hmm. and yeah i get that theyre making more animal representations which breaks my heart a little because it really leaves you guessing! :[

      As for the faces i still stand by wanting more mature faces in the tinies, but with only one released its too soon to tell really.

    11. The MDs are usually released around the 20th of each month. I'm hoping that means we'll have a teaser on Monday (the 17th) with full sales opening up on the 20th.

      I probably won't get whatever tinies they release for this year. I'm all out of room! However, I really want to see what they have up their sleeves. I want to see how they continue their current trend.

    13. So it really does look like so far the tinies are following in the footsteps of the bigger dolls.

      Breccia --> Shonki + Appini = Different animals but the same basic concept of big ears of the same shape and paws
      Monzo -- > Grit + Syen = Grey Skin, either mini gargoyles exactly like Monzo, or bats.. but either way, same idea of wings and horns.

    14. Well, it gives us about a month of warning for each set of tinies. I didn't like Monzo's concept and hence kinda knew I wouldn't be Soomed by these. Love the speculation though! Nobody guessed vampire teeth though, it is first for Soom, no?

      And it is a GS/WS couple, continuing the fantasy resin/'normal' pairings. These would be neutrals too, then?

    15. When I first saw them I thought: ugh. No. But looking at that last teaser pic, with the grey one upside down.. I don't know. They're very charming..
      I think it's the face-up I don't like. Their noses are too cute though!

      Shara: I think the fantasy resin is the reason they decided to go with the neutral bodies. I don't think they'll bring back the girl/boy ones.

    16. I think Soom have never gone the vampire teeth route before just because SO many companies do that, and I guess they wanted to remain original?
      At this point though, they've practically done EVERYTHING else, and so adding interesting teeth to their dolls was probably the next step.

      They also needed to come up with something new and exciting for the tinies, and with the bigger MDs they had big boobs (both on Breccia AND Monzo xD), so I guess they decided to go for the teeth?

      I'd love to see other types of feet for the tinies. The best they've done so far for me was definitely Eliv and Iv's fishy parts. They were just FABULOUS and I'm not sure Soom will ever beat that for me.
      But I'm just totally done with hooves now.. then chubby birdy feet are cute enough, but they're not totally amazing.. and the kitten paws would have been a really nice change, if they'd had an ANKLE JOINT.

      I think the most exciting thing for me about the recent release is that they are clearly NOT cutesy little good guys.
      The overall concept is darker, which makes me hope that half the dolls this year might be nice and dark!

    18. You know they'll have fantasy-feet. They've done that with every other release. I just hope that they won't be so chibified that it's cutesy. I do hope that their fantasy feet will retain some of that "dark and dangerous" vibe they've got going on.

    19. Urgh YES. If they chibify the whole thing, that would just be SAD.
      They RUINED the birdies by doing that - ok I do have an Yrie and managed to make it work by putting her head on a fullset Ai body, and then giving her body to another doll which looked good. But it would have all been SO much better if they'd kept the birdie parts mature to match the sculpt.

      NO CHIBI CLAWS FOR THE BAT GARGOYLES SOOM!!!

    20. I am disappointed :( i was SO excited for little baby gargoyles. They look like bats to me (especially with the grey one being upside down lol). And the fangs and just the face isnt really doing it for me :'( epic not cool. I was super excited and now i will have to wait two more months! lol.

      I am curious what the little clawed feet with look like, if theyre good enough maybe ill get a pair in a split for my boy :0
