1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Souldoll Discussion

    1. @Dybbuk Yes, whomever did it, did an amazing job. The tattoos on him are also really well done (he came with those, too).

    2. @Dybbuk Thank you! <3
In fact, there is a big difference in color. But faceup helped. You can best see the color difference on headplate. This photo was taken after the first phase of the faceup. I purposely left the back of the head unpainted to show the difference.

    3. Yes she was! I wanted this doll so bad, but when she was released I was not in a good financial period of my life. About 5 years ago, there was one at a booth at the doll convention in Austin, Tx. She was just as glorious in person. My friend ended up taking her home as I had just spent all my money on another doll I'd wanted for a long time that I saw first. I'm glad she got her but it still bugs me that I missed out on her again!

    4. @Arengil : It's very skillfully done!!! I also really like the body proportions for your head. It might be something for me to think about as I have a few Souldoll boy heads with no bodies... :sweat

@Mu Shu : I really hope you get a chance to find her again! I know there are only 10 of them made, but you never know. I know quite a few collectors who were into BJDs 10+ years ago have decided to sell off their collections because they're no longer interested in collecting BJDs. That's how I found my older Osu and Soo-Hyun.

Speaking of that tanned Hye, I remember she was released alongside a tan Osu too which I admired!!! There were 20 of him made, but I've never seen an owner photo of him~ He was done in a very similar dark futuristic style. I wonder if anyone on DoA has or had him?

    5. I'd love to get my hands on the Amon/Kyle The Hanged Man (gargoyle version, bonus points if he's grey). I couldn't afford him when he was released and I think I've only ever seen him once 2nd hand (naturally after he sold *sigh* but I also felt the seller was a bit high on his pricing).

    6. Would anyone with one of the Double boys be willing to take a head measurement? Even with the wayback machine, I can't find their wig size :?I've fallen in love with the old Double body and I'm willing to be patient enough to hunt for one secondhand, but I want to make sure the head I want to put on it (21cm/8.25") will look proportional. Thanks!

    7. @Mainframe110 : I have had the best luck with 7-8" wigs for all my double boys. 9-10 wigs are way too big for them. What head are you looking at to hybrid it with?

    8. I have a specific character in mind that I want to shell who has pretty narrow shoulders and is on the shorter side- Granado Remiel has a 21cm head and I’ve seen pics of it fitting rather nicely on the 10.8cm neck of the Lads body. The neck size & shoulder width of the Double body are comparable to the Lads body, but I guess I just wanted to know if the Double heads were like, unusually small. I also have other 21cm SD heads that wear 7”-8” wigs, so I guess until I can get a pic of this weird hybrid idea, the answer is still “it works in theory”.

    9. @Mainframe110 : I know the answer to this question is a little unhelpful... Soul Doll has gone through many stylistic changes over the years and so I would say that even their heads tend to vary in size a bit. My Double Jinwoo/Zii/LJK are much slimmer and smaller than my Double Soo-hyun and Osu which are older. I do have a Granado Doll Gabriel head... is he comparable to the Remiel sculpt in size, if so I don't mind digging him out and trying him on the Double body for you to see. :)

    10. Gabriel is indeed the same size head as Remiel! I would be so grateful if you could take a pic of Gabriel on the Double body! :abow:
The two-part torso Double body is specifically what I’m after (as opposed to the 3 body torso that was the “updated body”) but they’re so similar, if not the same, in neck/shoulder measurements that either one will be fine for seeing what fits. Again, thank you so much!

    11. @Mainframe110 : I took some pictures of Gabriel on my Double body. Overall I think it's a decent hybrid proportion wise. The resins will not match (my Gabriel was blushed for a darker body, but he's a more lighter creamier resin vs the Double's normal which was more pink/fleshy toned). There is a slight gap from the neckhole but it's not awful... I have extra pictures on my Flickr: Natalie Cervantes

    12. @Dybbuk Thank you a thousand times for the pics!!! :D The proportions work just about as well as I’d guessed/hoped which is awesome!

    13. I'll measure it when I have it with me.

    14. No problem at all, happy to help! It's one of my favorite bodies, so I hope you're able to find one!

A few weeks ago I painted my Moonlight Brown Zenith Ah-In. I miss Souldoll's releases :( hope they get caught up and make more beautiful dolls!

    15. He's gorgeous. Beautiful face-up on him, too.

    16. @Iron_Dog : Thank you!!! I have been procrastinating on painting him and other dolls and I'm trying to make more of an effort to get dolls painted and done.

    17. I finally got my Zenith Ha Do Yoon after more than a year.
I already had Swinte secondhand. He’s on a Loongsoul 73cm body and she’s on a Fan FF body.

    18. @Mahgiep : So handsome! Ha Do Yoon is one I am regretful that I didn't pounce on before the big discontinuation of dolls. I really liked his sculpt when he was released~ <3
