1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

SoulDoll one year Anniversary Sale....^^

Nov 12, 2005

    1. Hurrah! Eyes and wig to go with the HARANG BOY I BOUGHT TODAY! After I've paid through paypal is there something else i have to do to confirm or am i just to sit and await his arrival?

    2. it would be even better if you'd just box up your sweeni and send her on over. :D

    3. I'm about to give in to a Lune and Clara! :D But can anyone enlighten me on how to finish the kit? Is there a FAQ out there? :?

    4. From what I can tell all you need to do is assemble the doll!

    5. LOL to this, i am going to have to regretfully decline. however, i WILL send you a print of a painting of one of your girls once it's done and all. hopefully that will suffice.

    6. Ooaaa, omg how sweet of you! Whoa nelly!! i love dolly art!! woweee! oh that's exciting!! :D :daisy :chibi

    7. But you assemble it by stringing it together right? is there any information on how to string the doll out there? Because although all i need is the assemble it, $110 to get it strung probably means that the process is complicated right?

    8. I restrung my girl by myself with no instruction! It wasn't hard apart from the strength of the elastic. But it did take me the entire time of watching Edward Scissorhands to do it lol. There are some stringing tuts around, I've found you 2 - http://rapture.sephdraven.com/misc/unstrung.html and http://www.nwlink.com/~camelot/restring.jpg Hope those help!

I forgot - I think another thing they maybe haven't done is sanded the seams etc? Maybe that costs quite a bit as far as they're concerned.

    9. Thanks a bunch, teddybay-o! So are you ordering any souldolls? I'm addicted to Lune and Clara.. :D oh my poor empty pocket..

    10. From what I hear, Souldolls are strung differently from other BJD... I'm not sure exactly how, but yeah. I don't think it'll be too much harder/more difficult, but it may take a bit more figuring out. ^_^

UFK don't have sanded seams and aren't coated either.

I think it's more the time involved in putting them together/sanding etc, rather then the actual $ cost.

    11. Well, from a business perspective time = $ since the time put into sanding/stringing those dolls could be put use to stringing/sanding other dolls. er... If that made any sense at all.

    12. Im so excited! I told my stepmother about the sale, and she knows how much I want Clara, and shes seriously thinking about buying her for me! She wants to learn webdesign, which I can do, and she says if I teach her she'll pay for Clara.

Im a bit intimidated by the thought of putting her together though... Im going to have them do her faceup, and I dont mind stringing her really, but sanding and coating seems scary. I dug around on the Souldoll Q+A board, and here: http://souldoll.com/board/view.php?board_name=DREAMBOARD3&ID=619
it sounds like the only difference is that the doll isnt assembled, so you would only have to string it? But it makes more sense that you would have to sand+coat it like for other Unfinished Kits.

Does anyone know for sure what one would need to do for the Unfinished Kit dolls?

    13. Wow, really low price O_O
      I really want one now.

    14. I'm so sorely tempted to save up for a Tiffee so I can have a mini girl to go with my 3 boys. Then I'd have 2 girls total to start to balance out my 5.5 boys (the .5 is Gregori's head my vamp Woosoo)

    15. just curious. in the email i received, they replied saying that i can choose from the premium eyes. does that mean i can choose the eyes starting with item code "P"? my Harang was a full set, so there wasn't an option to choose.

can someone help me on this? thanks!

    16. Gah! Couldn't they have waited a month with these? Lune... *wants. badly* There's no way I can afford him right now, though.

Oh well... Just as well, since I sort of need my Shiwoo before I get my Lune...

    17. I'd say so - the eyes area have different sections. But yes, the ones starting with 'P' ($20), are premium eyes... so you can choose? cool. ^_^

    18. Yay i orderd Paris with makeup, cus i just suck at that, Hopefully i can string him up ok ^^;;

Anyone else gonna get any? and would u order with makeup or without?

    19. Im hopefully getting Clara! Im also having them do the faceup... even though Im an "artist", their makeup is so beautiful and delicate <3 Ive been playing around in photoshop deciding on the colors I want.
