Souldoll Shiva [With 4 Arms Gray skin]

Any pictures of her nude from the front? I really want to see how they managed to put 4 arms on that torso and how they pose, wonder if they rub against each other and cause discoloraton?

 

I asked for one on the Q and A site and they sent me one of the back also. I will request a front view as well.

 

Wow I just saw the Shiva_g with no face up. She is truly a beautiful sculpt. I might have to have two!!!

 

Does anyone know if Shiva's body would work for a Grey Soom Onyx or Galena head? I love the blushing on her hands.

 

She's phenomenal...just when I decided I wasn't going to get anymore dolls, sell off 2 of the 3 I have and keep myself down to just one, here comes Shiva...and now I have to have her.
And, just in case it wasn't 100% cleared up, the lore of Shiva as I know it is Shiva is a male god (known as the Shiva the Destroyer), whom, when enraged, turns into a woman (how appropriate), destroying all around her....
...I am souled...

 

Shiva is a must have. I am so so so so sooooo happy she is not limited, if she was I would be heart broken.
My Doll collection will be mostly fanasty and boy does she fit!
I cannot wait to have her! (which wont be for a very very very long time....)

I had to have her as soon as I saw her. I got the set, with four arms, but in white skin because I see more color opportunities. She really makes me think of a Khmer dancer, and I'll probably have her painted as such.

 

Khmer dancer!! Wow!! I wonder if that's why I am so drawn to her! My daughter was born in Cambodia. Would love to hear more about how you are planning to have her painted for Khmer.

Yeah, they didn't mention that on the page until recently. I certainly wasn't expecting two torso parts.

So does this mean that you get four arms total and then switch between 2 and 4 arm torso or do you get six arms so each torso is complete within itself?

 

Ok so, my Kayla arrived today and she is the most beautiful thing I have ever seen, quite seriously.
Souldoll have now totally stolen my heart as my favourite company (I already had 3 soulkids limiteds, and they are all amazing, but were all far too HUMAN for me to I ended up selling 1, have one on sale, and am only keeping the one).

The problem is, this means I now want a fullset Celina which I am now on an eternal search for

And.

I want Shiva.

I'd want her grey, with the 4 arms and basically EVERYTHING. A complete fullset.

The problem for me is that she's really just SO expensive for a basic doll, I don't know how to rationalize it!
With the limiteds, at least I can say 'It's ok, if she doesn't fit in or isn't work her price or whatever, I can always sell her.'
The chance of selling on a basic for the same price you paid, unless it's a sculpt the company no longer makes anymore, is slim.
The whole point of basics is that they're supposed to be CHEAPER.

So I'm basically stuck having to make a pretty big decision, and probably soon as I'm not sure how long I'll have before the outfit sells out.
Do I take the plunge and stick her on layaway sometime over the next few months or do I just accept that she's way too expensive for a basic and move on?
I think the scary thing is just that I'm so used to getting dolls knowing I can get what I paid back for them should I not bond.. it's terrifying going into it feeling like I won't have that option!

 

I asked Souldoll and she comes with six arms total.

So now I really have to know, does the souldoll zenith bust fit the Soom super gem waist? Because if I bought her in WS I could have a 4 armed Shiva and turn my Amber bits into a complete body!!!

 

Midnight -- if you truely, really love her, I think you should get her! To be honest I cringed at the price I paid for my Star (and thats why I put her off so long), since she is basic, but I absolutely love her to death and don't regret buying her. I want to get Shiva someday, but like you, the price is soooo hard to justify for a basic... but at the same time, because it isn't limited, it gives us time to save up!

Just because she isn't limited, I don't think it should hold you back. If you really don't think you'll part with her, and you love the fullset, why not? Besides, I bet less people order it than the MDs anyway, so in a way it will be "limited". And if you do decide you don't like her, I think she is one of those dolls people wouldn't mind spending the basic price on secondhand, because people want to save on shipping. So you'd just loose out on shipping price, I guess.

OMG, you're totally right... this is an incredible prospect to ponder. I know Soom and Souldoll WS are NOT a match, but depending on how you blushed it, it might not be totally horrible. Souldoll's WS (at least, as of a bit over a year ago) was very, very paper white -- it was a good match for a WS Minimee head I had from that period if that gives you any idea.

Maybe there is someone out there who already has a Chantal, and can check the parts for how easily they could fit (or be made to fit)?
