Souldoll Shiva [With 4 Arms Gray skin]

Yeah. Well. I know I am getting this doll, 4 arms and gray skin, as soon as I can. My boyfriend wants her too in white or normal skin. So maybe we'll have a Hindu-Thai inspired divine duo. Neither of us though care for the helmet or outfit. But HECK YEAH FOUR ARMS!

 

Not to be unreasonable, but if I get a Shiva and she comes without the wig that's presented (which I love, mind you, and really suits the doll), I'm going to be really, really disappointed. At a price tag of 1200 dollars, I would think it would be very unwise to send out a grey Shiva with, oh, some electric orange mohair wig (this is just a for instance) that makes her look like a McCircus clown.

Before I plunk down money, does anyone know the really-real dish on this?

(Also, thank you to the people who are putting information onto this thread. I'm actually more a dolly dabbler -- though I really love these dolls -- and I appreciate all the help I get from threads just like this one.)

That is something I was just wondering as well, if you're meaning the new Luna body/knees and all...I think I'll have to ask them if they're willing to do that, or if that will be an option at some juncture. There's so much planning involved, it's wearing me down a little, LOL! Plus the wig issue of course, I really want a fullset plus that wig too...

I guess I didn't see a problem with this doll coming without a wig selection because I don't really consider it a fullset? It's offered as a basic with all the extras as options, instead of just everything together in one neat package that presented as a fullset (like a fullset from pipos, for example, or fairyland's fullsets). Its more of a " we have options of you'd like them" kind of deal.

Although, I do find it a little dumb that they wouldn't even sell the wig in the photo separately in the wig section! But it looks like a very simple wig, something you can easily get from another company. But yeah.. for that price they should just throw the wig in.

 

LOL! No probs, I know everyone has a different terminology set for 'fullset', but for me, if the doll comes with hair/outfit that can't be purchased separately, but only as part of the doll purchase, then it's a fullset if you order it under those circumstances, at least for me. Like with Angelheim boys 'fullset' isn't really a concern as the clothes typically can be purchased separately.

So since she's got a unique and probably time-limited outfit option, and the wig is up in the air, I do have fullset concerns personally, but I'm sure I'll be able to figure something out one way or the other, as I'm really taken with her of course.

Good points, all of them. Just I can't square it with the price I guess. Not to whine, but being that she's a grand plus, I guess I'm sort of hoping for the full package as seen on the site -- maybe unreasonable. I hope they put the wig up soon! I would hope to find something similar somewhere else, of course, but I've had a lot of run-ins with finding something passable rather than a truly good match, and that generally messes up my attachment to the doll. If they put the wig on the site, maybe I wouldn't end up with extra shipping charges (unless I can find something suitable in America)! I need to get a better eye for wigs! (My Ryu would really appreciate it too!)

Clearly Soom has spoiled me for all this extra dolly effort!

 

I don't think we'll really know for certain until the doll starts coming in...or someone with a firm grasp of Korean asks them about the wig issue.

 

I'm now saving up for her. She is really really beautiful. :3
For me she will be something like a sexy and smart young woman. With future allover suits.
She will get orange to red eyes and a white wig with some light jade highlights in her hair.
The wig will be a bob, sidewards long and behind short.

I bought her on 3/23. 5 weeks of waiting so far. If they keep to their assumed schedule, I should get her this month sometime.

 

Oh please take some pics of her, I soooo want to see this doll with 4 arms, if I can find a job I may have to get her later this year. So they are doing a new body for the Zenith girl?? I wonder how it will look?

 

As soon as I saw Shiva, I knew I wanted her! I won't be putting her on laybuy until I've finished paying off my second hand IH Jessica, and then buying Spiritdoll's Dark and Moonless. xD So not for a while. I am so glad she's not a limited.

Question! Can I buy just the four armed torso and not the two? Otherwise I am going to be left with a two armed torso that I don't need! xD

 

I don't think so. I'm probably going to wind up either selling the extra torso or possibly using it to practice doing bodyart/tattoos.

 

Ah well. Thanks for the info, discordixan! And using it for pratcise is an awesome idea. Or selling it, as I can't wait to have my shiva, but damn she is going to make a dent in my funds. xD

I have tired to stay away from dolly's after i ordered my frist doll, Soul Doll kayla, for fear i would find someone else i HAD to have.... and...I failed.
She is stunning!
And I will have her!

She is absolutely stunning and I love the purple in her face up but as a Hindu living in a strict Hindu home, if I bring her home and tell my mother that this is Shiva she will point to the portiat of him of him in our living room and proceed to tell me that, that is not Shiva and question my dolly love. But I love Shiva G lol its so funny because that's what we refer to him as its basically "Lord Shiva" I lol'd so hard when I saw that. Maybe I can get Shiva G and my mom will be none the wiser. And whoa to some of the definitons of Shiva in this thread, I've never even heard of those before! I learned something new today!

The only thing I do not care for is the outfit, Other wise the gray skin is lovely. And the face up different and very pretty.
I will have this girl, but she is so expensive! It iwll take forever to save up.

 

Maybe they confused Shiva and Parvati/Lalita? Honestly, who knows why the name Shiva gets attached to so many female characters? Maybe we should blame Final Fantasy.
