Souldoll Soul-Double boy: I-SO

The news is still very heartbreaking to me cuz I am pretty much in the same boat acanthiel. thank goodness for their layaway plan tho!

I wonder why he's being discontinued? Is it because he resembles Korean actor Jung Il Woo from the drama, Return of Illjimae?

*sigh* I-so isn't the only doll to be discontinued (even when we were told that he wasn't limited). This also happened to Jinwoo but I think the reason why they discontinued Jinwoo was because he looked too much like Lee Jun Ki. Plus they also came out with a Lee Jun Ki doll shortly after Jinwoo's discontinuation....So are they planning something similar? D:

It really is a pity that they decided to not sell him anymore, but most of all this is the second time they have pulled this stunt!

First with Zii and now with him...WHY????

 

I loved him and wanted to save for him, so Im very very sad now.
I asked them if they probably sell his head only, they told me they decide till tomorrow about it.

 

I don't think there is any hope on them selling just the head because his body is the same as all the other double Souldoll dolls. So the reason they stop selling him is because of his head.

But it might help those who want him but cannot afford to buy the whole doll at the moment, if the offered his head for the last week as well.
Rooting for everyone who wants him that they will!

 

I wonder if they will sell him on layaway even if the layaway completes after the doll is discontinued? That way some people who have part of the funds now might be able to go ahead and put him on layaway?

Good luck! I hope those who were saving up can still get him... I wish companies would give a longer notice sometimes before discontinuing a sculpt.

Btw, JinWoo was only sold for one week as a limited release. He was never pulled suddenly from the site like this. ^_~

I hope that they'll just sell the head for you guys! There's only what- three of us on DOA who have an I-so/actively said they have an I-so? And a few more on the way, such a small group, poor babies. He is such a lovely boy so it's such a shame.

 

I don't think there are a lot of Souldolls in general on the site. But my Iso will be joining yours relative soon, since he's blank and I paid in full for him.

But the company did seem to say that the reason they stopped selling Iso (at least) was because of the wish of the sculptor.

 

yes, sculptor's personal reasons they said, I don't believe there'll be more info on that. but I wonder why too..
& YES It is really a pity , I really wanted one so I got shocked with the news ... I placed an order for Iso today ... it will be here in about a month.

...no need to say it's the last surprise I can afford this month & it will be a hard period the next ... I 'm happy with my order but truth is truth ... I'd wish to knew about that a month before, it would make it much easier ...
Iso had been released at 4-April 2009 It was such a surprise to see it discontinued so soon .. so pity!!!

I wish they say yes for selling the head alone too !!!!It will be a nice alternative for anyone who has some of the money & can't go for layaway..

Ahh...this works out very well....
I will be ordering two heads tomorrow night, then.
The plan was always to have two--one for Mandrake and one for his grandson Bartholemew, who is nearly identical to him in facial features. I was a bit put out that I wouldn't be able to have then be as close to each other as I wanted--but now I can get both of their heads, then get bodies later! *breathes*
I would have preferred to get the full doll now...but I can't give up the chance to have them both be the same sculpt like I had planned--and I can't afford one full doll + a head right now--it was hard enough scrambling to figure out how to afford the full doll alone last minute. XD;

Im really broke ATM so I asked them what is the time frame for payment after placing order, they said 5-7 days.
